Conveniently located in Les Praz. A very short walk from the Les Praz train station and the bus stop at the steps of the hotel made commuting around the Chamonix valley a breeze. The Flegere gondola was a very short walk additionally. The restaurant on the main floor with patio dinning served excellent food. Our very comfortable room provided an outstanding view of Mount Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi and the surrounding mountains on both sides of the valley. This is an excellent place to stay and I will certainly book lodging in the Hotel Le Castel on my next trip to Chamonix.

The entrance into the hotel is a little confusing. What I thought was the entrance into the building was actually the door into the restaurant’s kitchen.

Lovely clean comfortable rooms, with a great powerful hot shower. Really nice traditional chalet styling. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was simple but all you need really (could do with some better coffee options - just a machine doing black coffee). Next to the bus stop to get around the Chamonix valley and opposite the Flegere lift, which made it really convenient. Free parking opposite the hotel. We had a great stay and will be back!

The hotel is in a great position with spectacular views of the mountains and glaciers from all sides. It is a couple of Km's from the center of Chamonix, however there are buses which run from just outside the hotel on a regular basis and also a train service from the little station about 150m away. The hotel has a good restaurant and bar and there are others in the local village. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had a balcony with views of the mountains. The staff were very helpful, providing information and booking taxis.

This is a fantastic small hotel for skiers. Right next to the Flegere gondola and the bus stop (for easy access to Les Houches and Le Tour). Sunny terrace for apres ski drinks, with music. Great restaurant if you want to stay put, but 10 minute easy bus/uber ride to the centre of Chamonix. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are helpful, if a little chaotic at times.

This was our second stay at Hotel Le Castel. We loved the size and view from our room so much that we booked again this year, however didn’t pay enough attention to the room details. This time round our room faced the main road with constant traffic instead of the wonderful balcony with Mountain View we had last time. Highly recommended if you room goes out the way where the restaurant terrace is, if you’re on the other side it’s just noisy and quite stressful. Plus the room was super small but I understand that was down to the room category.

A lovely hotel, very charming with a spacious beautiful room (room #1) and a big bathroom, very unusual for ski resort hotels at any level. Benoit was an awesome and warm host, kind and attentive at all times. We loved our stay at Hotel le Castel. Breakfast was homey and fresh. Great location with a 45-second walk to Flagere gondola and the bus stop at our doorstep! Highly recommended.

I would have loved some frech toast or pancakes for breakfast.

Great hotel right near the flegerie chairlift, only 3 min by car from the center of chamonix. free parking right across the street. room was spacious and clean, shower was huge. We added breakfast which was pretty good. The restaurant downstairs also good but not many vegeterian options.

All was good I would add some veggies to the breakfast buffet however.

A very nice hotel in a fantastic location with great views of Mont Blanc. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large with nice towels and amenities.

It was hard to find the door to this hotel. It is not facing the street, there isn't a sign pointing the way, you enter through the conservatory that is part of the restaurant and facing away from the parking lot. This might be an issue if guests are not expecting to have to bring luggage across the street and around to the other side of the hotel.

Amazing view of the mountains, amazing breakfast. Super friendly staff. The room is very clean and well decorated.

The staff are short - the same employees that run the restaurant are also running the hotel, so they have very low availability to serve the hotel customers. But when they do - they are super friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel, luxuriously furnished. Big room. Comfy bed. Lovely big ensuite .. his n her sinks. Great air con. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and staff helpful. Free Car parking right opposite hotel.

It's a wee bit out of town but there are free buses ( we didn't use)
