Very welcoming and kind host and hostess. They allowed us to check in early on a very hot day and had the air con on in the room for our arrival which was very much appreciated. Evelyne was very knowledgeable and gave us an introductory talk about the town, its history and the cognac industry, marked up a map showing the places of interest and suggested places to eat and visit. We enjoyed a delicious meal on the terrace cooked by Marcel with Evelyne providing a cognac tasting. Evelyne even took us to the station to help us sort out a problem with communication and taking our bikes on the train. There was very good secure storage in the garage for our bikes. A very pleasant and comfortable stay in Cognac with excellent hosts.

Our host Evelyn went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional! She drove us into town to find dinner late at night and fed us the most beautiful breakfast with homemade yoghurt and local jams. They were so delicious that we bought some to bring home. Her local knowledge is excellent and we took a wonderful walk through the town guided by Evelyn’s suggestions. The room and bathroom were huge with attention to detail and lovely design features. We also had access to a kitchen to make our own drinks and snacks. We loved our stay and will certainly come back again! Thank you Evelyn for your wonderful hospitality.

Amazing stay in Cognac. The hostess Evelyn was a fabulous hostess. Her knowledge on all things Cognac was amazing. Her husband cooked us a lovely three course meal on the Sunday evening of our stay and Evelyn gave us a local wine and Cognac tasting experience explaining all about the wines and where they came from . Nothing was too much trouble. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. There is a lovely terrace with comfortable seating and a well equipped kitchen for your use during your stay.

Evelyne and Pascal are the perfect hosts. They enjoy people and love sharing their home, city and history. They have created a heavenly retreat for travelers. We arrived by bicycle - and they are only a few blocks from the train station. It is an easy walk to anyplace in the town - and Evelyne helped us with suggestions for what to see and do - and eat. Our room and bath was spacious with attention to every detail. Good bed, chairs, kettle and tea, lots of storage, great shower. We ate dinner cooked by Pascal that was superb, in the quiet of the garden. If you’re going to Cognac (and you should!) Suite en Terrasse by Evelyne and Pascal is a must.

Our stay in this B&B was lovely. Our room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. It was in a great location, easy walking distances to everything in town. We had no issues with parking our rental car on the street. The breakfast was simple and a nice start to the day. Evelyne our host clearly loves her town and has a lot of knowledge to share with guests.

The air conditioning in our room didn’t cool the room. It went off/on continuously leaving the room at a 25c + temperature for our whole stay. There was no way to adjust the fan speed so we had very anemic air delivery. Outside air temperature was 30c and only cooled down to 22c after midnight. Then we could open the windows.

By far the warmest welcome we received on our trip through France. As well as a comprehensive tour of the property Evelyne provided a map of the town, a detailed verbal summary of places of interest and potted histories. Add to this a lovely terrace to sit and relax outdoors and excellent breakfast and you can understand why we would not hesitate in staying here again.

Car parking could be an issue depending on time of day.

We were given a very warm welcome by Evelyne. Our room had its own entrance from the street and a terrace to sit outside. There was a very well equipped kitchen for our use. Breakfast was very delicious and generous with local produce. We reserved an evening meal and highly recommend it. Pascal prepared us the first class meal.

This is a place where your every comfort is considered and taken care of, by warm and friendly hosts who have expert knowledge of the area and Cognac. Beautiful room and en suite complemented by a lovely terrace garden and kitchen area for you to use. This has sun and shade and is excellent for relaxing after a day of exploration. Delicious breakfast. Perfectly located for the train station and a short walk to the lovely old town and its attractions. Cognac is also a very good base from which to visit the breathtaking Charente countryside which you should not miss!

Evelyn and Pasquale are the perfect hosts. We were travelling to a wedding near St Emilion and they let’s us hang our suits and bags in their garage, so they were safe. Our room and bathroom were lovely and spotlessly clean. There are a couple of other rooms and you have access to a lovely rooftop terrace and kitchen, so you have somewhere nice to relax if you don’t want to go out. The breakfast was really lovely made with local produce. We loved Cognac and Evelyn and Pasquale and would go back to stay in a heartbeat. it’s about a twenty minute walk into town. On the way check out the Indigo Bar at the Martell factory, it’s rooftop terrace gives fabulous views of Cognac. The Garage is well worth a visit too, it’s very lively serving simple food.
