It is only 8-10 minutes walking distance from the Train station saving you on paying for the taxi (unless you cannot drag or carry your luggage around. The location was perfect for walking to the popular spot like Little Venice and picturesque town centre. Also there are cafe and restaurants nearby saving you paying huge amount in the city centre restaurants. The rooms are very clean, airy and lots of lights. And there is a working ac too. I had the breakfast in the hotel and they are reasonably good with choices of warm (omlette, bacon and toast) or continental. What made a huge difference is that the receptionists were polite, very friendly and helpful both on my arrival and my departure the next day. Please convey my thank to them. I would stay here again if I am travelling to Colmar.

The only issue is the thin walls. If you are a light sleeper you might need an earbud.

Good breakfast (extra cost). Excellent soundproofed double windows (needed as right next to railway line), good a/c. Extra pillows. Good shower. Location excellent - only 10 mins max to old town, Colmar is beautiful.

I thought it quite expensive for what was a very basic and small room. No extras at all eg bottle of water. Even had to pay 1euro for an extra tea bag!!! I’ve never seen that before in all my years of travelling. A small fridge would have been wonderful to keep drinks as it was very hot. No storage space apart from hangers (ie drawers or shelves for other clothes)

It is not far away from Colmart station, walking about 12 minutes. The staff was vey friendly and helped me a lot to buy a new charging cable as i lost two of my genuine cables in Strasboug. Even though it was not a genuine cable and sometimes not working well. I would like to thank her for her help. Colmar is a small city with many attractions. I enjoyed my stay there.

The shower in my room seems not powerful enough.

- the staff members we talked to were so lovely and helpful - good location for us: less than 10 min walk to the train station and about the same to the town - the trains could slightly be heard like in the room but the balcony doors had two doors so was pretty soundproof - able to check in early and check out is easy

- there was a bottle lid on the floor the whole time we stayed and when I checked as we left, I noticed about 4 other lids under the bed too. Apart from that, everything else seemed clean - the toilet seemed to be coming off of the wall - made a noise every time it was sat on - no extractor fan in the bathroom so the room steamed up - had to hold the shower head whilst showering and had to be careful not to wet the floor

The Originals is a good hotel located very close to both the train/bus station and also the old town in Colmar. It takes about ten minutes to reach both, perhaps a little less to the train station and a little more to the heart of the old town. The room was good size and the bed comfortable. Bathroom facilities are good. The room also has A/C available which is probably good during warm summers or cold winters. Free luggage storage. 24/7 reception. There is a Carrefour City food store just two minutes away.

It was a little annoying having to hand in the key every time you leave the hotel. Especially when you have to wait to get it back so you can head to your room (because you came back at the same time as people are checking in). Also, if you room faces the train tracks you'll probably hear the trains. Fortunately there are not many trains during the night.

Very nice localitation near the railwaystation. Nice bathrooms with bathtube. Very well isolated windows witch stayed out all noice from the street and the railway. There is a good supermarket just around the corner and short walkingdistance to the historic centre of Colmar! Good breafast with different kind of bread, cakes, cereals, yoghurt, juices and all kind of coffe and tea! Friendly personal who take care of the guests and let them leave the luggage before ore after check in/out!

In our room there was a green light emergency exit with strong light. We have to hang a towel over it to get dark In the room.

Very good location, close to the central station and town centre. The room was well equipped with a kettle and some teas/coffees. Friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I got a balcony too, however it was on a busy street so quite noisy, but at the same time there was a view of the beautiful mountains so it was worth it.

My room was on the emergency exit so to open the doors it was a bit of a specific procedure, which might be a struggle for some people. There was an emergency light in the room which was very bright and disturbed me since I like to sleep in total darkness. I'm of average height but the bed was too short for me. I would also suggest more sustainable cups as the ones in the room were made of paper and wrapped in plastic.

Good value and conveniently near the train station if you don't want to carry your luggage too far. The rooms are perfectly comfortable, a good size, and pleasantly air conditioned. Old town and all its attractions are just a short walk away.

Some of the walls seem a bit thin. From my bathroom, I could hear people in the next room. This wasn't a problem for me, but it may be troublesome if you have noisy neighbours.

Clean room within walking distance of all the main attractions. Staff were super friendly and helpful - they treated me well as a solo traveller even though they had a very large group staying too. The AC was very amazing! I also had a lovely view from my room.

With the hotel being located next to the train line, you can hear trains go past. However it didn't bother me too much - there is double glazing and I had ear plugs.

It’s nice to leave the keys on the reception 🛎️ since we are clumsy and could loose them. And also the option to leave our baggages at the reception after check out and comfortable time 🕰️ of the check out. Near by is the supermarket 🏪, also it’s close to the train station 🚉 and not so far from the old city. And the bed sheets were new enough what is really important for me.
