We stayed at Colmar Hotel for one night on our way to Paris, simply to rest—but it turned out to be such a pleasant experience that we’ve already decided to return and spend more time exploring the area. The hotel is very cute and welcoming, with clean, comfortable rooms and helpful, friendly staff. We felt completely at ease during our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was both delicious and relaxing, especially in such a calm setting. The closed parking area was a big plus for us. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to returning for a longer visit!

Just a small note for future guests: the garage is a bit tight and requires careful maneuvering. It wasn't a problem for us, but it's good to be aware.

Other than our room view, everything was great in Colmar Hotel. Room size is enough, bathroom size is big. Everthing in the minibar was gratutious to the guests. There was also a coffee machine and a water heater in the room if you prefer filter coffee, instant coffee or instant tea (all of which are gratutious). Bed was very comfortable. After a long walk in the city, you can rest comfortably in the bed. Breakfast was very good, many different sorts of food. It was much better than most of the hotels we stayed in different European cities. Location is very convenient. It is 10-15 minutes walking distance to the city centre, but our main reason to choose this hotel was its closeness to train station and bus stops. You can travel to Strasbourg, Basel, Mulhouse, or touristic villages easily from Colmar Hotel. The last and best thing to mention in Colmar hotel is the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. All our questions were answered with a smile on their faces and they were very eager to help us with anything. If I happen to come Colmar again I would definitely stay in Colmar Hotel once more.

Our room was just across the multistorey car park, and our only view from the window was cars and the car park.

Lovely sheets, pillows, towels, shower. Everything super clean and tastefully decorated. Great selection at breakfast and best bacon I’ve had in 9 months on the road. Free bus from station into town every 15 mins. Staff very friendly. Can leave your luggage. Cannot check in very early as the check in lady doesn’t arrive until 2.30!

What do you remember most about your stay at the hotel? Comfortable rooms. Easy to reach from station. Warm welcoming staff. Great buffet breakfast. Nice outfoor lounge for an evening drink. Bar with great local selection of wines. Colmar Hotel had all of this and more. We loved the Easter vibe and the warmth with which the staff made us feel at home. Having stayed all over France, I have never encountered a hotel with such welcoming vibes. The rooms are equipped with all facilities you expect including a complementary mini bar and Nespresso coffee machine. Really comfortable for a short trip.

Nothing I disliked. Everything was well thought out. They could replan the bath area such that the water doesn't spill outside. Right now they provide big foot mats that keep the floor dry.

First of all I’d like to thank the staff of this amazing place for their support and hospitality. We spend great time in Colmar hotel. The guys were always there to help and support us. The hotel is very warm, cozy and well furnished with fresh colors and made me feel like I was home. It has a very good atmosphere especially for young people. The location is great - just a few steps from the train station in Colmar. It’s also about 10 minutes from the old town with its beautiful streets, shops and Christmas markets. The hotel offers fantastic breakfast with variety of different food sweets and fruit. They also serve a strong espresso and good cappuccino. We felt in love with that place. Definitely worth the money! If we manage to book again, I am absolutely sure that will be back.

Colmar Hotel exceeded our expectations, even though we knew that the hotel had a very high rating on booking.com. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Our second morning at breakfast, the staff responsible for breakfast already knew that I needed at least one cup of hot water for my tea, which they brought to our table once we arrived for breakfast. The cleaning staff were always friendly and smiled at us as we passed by them in the hall. We chose the hotel since Colmar was our base, from which we went on self-organized trips to explore the surrounding cities and villages by train every day. The train station is located around 3-4 minutes on foot depending on how fast you walk. The city centre is around a 12 to 15-minute walk from the hotel, which we didn't mind at all for two reasons --- 1) we only spent one whole day sightseeing in Colmar -- 2) Most of the hotels in the city centre are old, dank buildings with no natural light inside, which creates a depressing atmosphere in my opinion. There is a very friendly bike rental place right next to the train station, so we were able to rent e-bikes and city bikes with ease. The cleaning staff are very trustworthy! I accidentally left my Iphone earphones in my room, but didn't realize it till I had arrived back in Budapest. I notified the hotel, asking them if they had found my earphones, which they did. My earphones arrived back in Hungary safe and sound by post just a few days ago. Every guest is given a cute and very delicious going away present after check-out -- a cookie in a little plastic bag. So, yes! I highly recommend this hotel because it was our home away from home!

Everything was fine, so I don't feel that I should write any criticism. All I have is some constructive criticism -- For those staying at the hotel as long as we did (5 nights altogether), it would be a great thing to have a bit more variety in terms of the hot food provided. I believe that there were scrambled eggs in one metal covered tray-like thing, bacon with mini sausages in the other. Maybe some beans, eggs sunny-side up, potatoes would be a lovely addition.

-- Very small rooms: Limited space, which can feel cramped. -- Narrow twin beds: Beds are not only narrow but may be less comfortable for larger guests. -- Busy in December: The hotel is extremely popular and fully booked during the holiday season, so plan ahead. -- Poor value: The price doesn’t reflect the overall quality and comfort of the stay.

It was just perfect! We were super happy with our booking, the staff is extremely friendly, the location is right at the main train station, you can be at the border of the old town (Little venice) within less than 10 minutes per foot. Everything was spotless clean, and our room had a lovely orange/citrus smell when we entered. Wifi was working very well. Breakfast had a wide variety, with fresh orange juice, crepe and everything you need. Free Parking right in front of the hotel. Our room was right next to the elevator, and facing to the street. So initally we thought it might be a bit loud, but we did not hear anything during the night. The very comfy beds definitely also helped in sleeping well.

Not amazing to look at from the outside but fantastic on the inside! We used this hotel for one night as part of a long road trip through France, Germany, Austria and Italy, and it was by far the best budget hotel we stayed at. We really appreciated the little extras like the Nespresso coffee machine and the air conditioning and the breakfast was great too! Free parking too, and the walk to Colmar old town is a pleasant flat 15 minutes from the hotel.

This hotel is fantastic. The value for money is outstanding. The welcome on arrival was superb. The room had everything that a five star hotel would offer - coffee machine, whole selection of cup sizes, Easter decor, great TV selection, good bed, stocked minibar, big towels, slippers, full selection of high quality toiletries, free parking, free and very extensive high quality breakfast, great local information. Worth 3 x the cost. It was simply brilliant. Great staff. Honestly I cannot recommend it highly enough. Perfect.
