Really nice location, though a bit off the beaten track so I wonder how it will survive as a mid-range hotel. That may be explain why the place seemed pretty deserted even in high season. Staff were very pleasant, some English spoken.

Just little things, but of course these make the difference. The door to our room (121) was sticking, couldn’t easily be opened more than a third of the way. Judging by the marks on the floor, it had been like that for some time. No cups in the room (we had to ask) and a minimal amount of tea and coffee sachets provided (only two coffees, and only one breakfast tea bag, although there were a few fruit teas). And we had to run the shower for about five minutes before any hot water appeared . Oh, and the room numbering sequence takes a little bit of getting used to too….

The staff were charming. Particularly the lovely calm young lady who served our evening meals in the restaurant. Also the lovely young receptionist who helped us sort out our car problems. So helpful. Really nice room, bath, shower and comfy bed.

I was unsure if we could use the swimming pool . Also very few tea bags in the room. Several people have already commented on this so why hasn't it been addressed. In a top end hotel this doesn't seem a very expensive or difficult thing to do to keep clients happy

A cozy hotel in the area. Spa with a pool are available, which was a surprise, as somehow I missed that in the description. Free parking, very helpful staff, super close to the Maintenon castle which is a must visit

Dinner at the hotel was quite simple and more than half of the wine list was not available, which was a pity considering how many good ones there are in the area

We were allowed to use the spa in the morning before departure but it was before the official opening hours- so the sauna was not functioning , there were no spa towels available and no one at the spa reception to assist us. Also while I was swimming repairmen entered the area which was uncomfortable.

Our room was really nice, spacious, quiet and confortable. The hotel is in the middle of a cute village with a beautiful castle. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. They forgot to let us know room service wasn’t available during our stay but when we arrived the receptionist gave us a list of restaurant we could go to which we really appreciated. Thanks to that we had the best meal in “le soleil” restaurant which was 3min walk away from the hotel.

Breakfast was too expensive, I wasn’t feeling well and my husband brought two croissant, a yoghurt and tea in our room and they charged 15£ ,for each of us, for that which was quite disappointing.

Unfortunately, they make a lot of mistakes in your reservation (wrong room). They seem disorganized with a willingness to do their best but make lots of mistakes: not telling you at what time you can use the spa and trying to help you book a treatment.

Room, parking, location.

On arrival we were told that the bar stayed open till midnight. Bar times are clearly displayed in the lifts. This has been for the last three years our last night of an annual motorcycle trip, before heading up to Calais. There were ten of us and we ate out in the town. We returned to the hotel at 11.20 and were told that the bar was shut. Two staff were behind the bar. One told us that they were not bar staff even though he had served us all drinks on arrival. Poor show.

We came to celebrate 45 years if marriage, a big thank you for the complimentary champagne. We loved the hotel, it's location it's modern setting, it's proper reception areas and most of all the big bright comfy bedroom with fantastic walk-in shower. Free parking on site is a big bonus. We did not use the spa so cannot comment

We were so disappointed with both dinner and breakfast. The choice on the evening menu was not great and when we ordered the entree it was reduced from 3 to 2. The quality of the food in no way resembled the price. Breakfast was way under staffed with shortages of food and some people had no seating/ tables available.

Nice hotel with good facilities in a good location for an overnight stay enroute down to the Dordogne. We dined in the restaurant and the food was good, service was excellent. An overall pleasant experience.

Room very good . The bathroom as beautiful the only problem I found was the plug socket in the bathroom was nowhere near a mirror for the hairdryer or for an electric shaver point.
