The location was excellent . You can hire bicycles to explore Chambord park. Beautifully decorated in a contemporary style with great attention to detail.

The air conditioning did not work, as a result the room was very stuffy. We weee told them system was set to winter, so you could get hot air but not cold. That is is not acceptable Some of the staff did not seemed to have been trained to a four star hotel standard. One of the breakfast cups was chipped. We asked for it to be changed. No apologies from the waitress and when she brought a new cup she was carrying it with her fingers grabbing the rim.

Location near the castle, so very close, is brilliant. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Rooms were luxurious. Beds were good and breakfast was excellent. Parking very close to the hotels apart from the visitiors of the chateau a pleasant service, avoiding having to look for a free spot.

The rooms were very small, lacked a desk and not free of noise due to the nearby waterfall. One can live with all that, but for more than 300 euro per night, one my expect more. At arrival the restaurant was already fully booked. For guests of the hotel, they should leave more space in the restaurant or state at the site that de restaurant fills up quickly.

the location is stunning and the old part of the property quite charming

the new part has tiny ugly rooms. the female desk staff were unhelpful. i had messaged a couple of days in advance to ask if my mum and i could have a room with a bath. they did nothing about that. when we arrived i asked again and confirmed i would pay more. it was agony but we got the bath.

the location was marvellous.The surrounding, close to the castle and being able to walk in the ground early/late in the day, was magnificent. Excellent breakfast, the food in the restaurant was pristine.

On the third nights, whilst enjoying a quiet drink at the bar a group of 6 Americans and their guide invaded the place and discussing loudly the next day's horse-riding tour. it destroyed the entire atmosphere.. alas, and despite requesting, no-one from the management intervened.. in such an environment either the group should have had this type of conversation in a meeting room (which a bar is not), or, at the very least, turn down the volume.

What a magnificent place! We enjoyed every single moment at the Relais de Chambord. The location is absolutely perfect, nestled within the domain of the château and surrounded by nature, making for a serene and picturesque setting. The breakfast was great, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. A great convenience is the ability to purchase tickets for the château directly at the hotel. I highly recommend planning your visit early in the morning to beat the crowds and fully appreciate the beauty and history of the château. Thank you, Relais de Chambord, for a delightful stay. We can't wait to return!

Location was excellent to tour the chateau. Staff were absolutely outstanding--welcoming, friendly, went above and beyond. Met us outside when we drove up. Had a nice massage in the spa. Restaurant was wonderful, gourmet food, great bar.

We liked it all. The rooms are very nice, new, modern, and comfortable, just anticipate they are on the smaller side. Plenty of space for luggage and sit down, you won't be in there all that much. This is a built hotel, not part of a historic building that was renovated.

The hotel has lost much of it ramshackle charm from when it was a real hunting lodge hotel some decades back. But the staff is super nice, and there is a very clear comfort level that is well appreciated.

What got lost in the renovation is the incredible restaurant that was there with an in-season game menu that was brilliantly good. The restaurant now was extremely uninspiring and has completely lost its connection to the historical hunting grounds it stands on.

Location in the grounds of the chateau allowing early and late walks to see this beautiful building without the crowds is fabulous.

Whilst our room had a lovely view of the river both the bedroom and ensuite were on the small side. We stayed 2 nights and for our taste found the restaurant menu limited. Having already paid separately for tickets to visit the chateau the additional charge of 10 euros per night towards the Domaine was an unwelcome surprise.

Location is ideal. Being able to tour the chateau before the busloads of tourists was amazing. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff very helpful and accommodating. Had nice spa facilities that were free to guests but unfortunately we were too exhausted from sightseeing to utilize them.

One of the tiniest rooms I have ever stayed in, especially the split bathroom. Literally only one person could fit in the sink/shower room. Also very expensive.

The staff is very welcoming. The room was a bit small but perfectly clean and very comfortable. The place is by the Chambord castle inside a huge domain. It’s really relaxing to walk around and sleep in such a quiet place.

We didn’t have the chance to get to the spa because it was fully booked for the time we stayed. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant Le Grand Saint Michel. It’s very expensive for what you get and the food is extremely disappointing. There are plenty of michelin starred restaurants nearby that will charge almost the same price for a much better experience.
