This was, without a doubt, the best place we ever stayed . Everything was just perfect! From our most gracious host David, the finely furnished house and room, the excellent breakfast ( especially David’s scrambled eggs are not to be missed ) to the overall atmosphere in this old manor house gave us a welcoming feeling and a perfect stay. It’s a great place to explore the area, so a car is a must. We stayed a week and I wish we could have stayed longer. I am sure we will see David and le Manoir De Ribardon again.

There was nothing we did not like. It is a very rural area , a calm place and we enjoyed it a lot.

This is truly the finest “chambres d’hôtes à la français” amidst the Suisse Normande countryside! Set in a beautiful park amongst the area of the famous Haras (horse breeder farms) of Normandy this is A very tastefully decorated 18th century manor house that has been turned into an amazing small hotel run with the utmost elegance and precision,destined to please the guest in all manner possible! The warm hospitality offered by the greatest of hosts Mr. David never ceases to exceed the expectations! To say the least, we higly recommended it!!

Nothing at all

A beautiful building with an outstanding host. Nothing would appear to be too much trouble for him. Whilst the building is stunning, David is probably Le Manoir’s greatest asset as he makes you feel very welcome. We enjoyed the garden, the room and breakfast - all were lovely. We enjoyed the little touches such as tissues, robes and cakes that were in the room. David kindly made a reservation for us at a local restaurant. Food was excellent and prices were very reasonable. We would not hesitate to return and certainly hope to do so.

There was nothing we didn’t like, however bedside tables would have been useful as we were reluctant to place hot drinks on the padded stools that were beside the bed. Next time, we would request a room with a more traditional shower, if one is available.

The Manoir was very elegant and beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable and it did exceed our expectations. David was the perfect host and made us most welcome. The breakfast was excellent too and was served in the beautiful dining room. It was largely continental and with lots of extras - French yoghurt, cured salmon, pancakes, local French cakes and 'vienoisserie' which were all delicious! The Manoir is set in lovely grounds in the countryside and it is well located and quite easy to find.

There was nothing we didn't like or wasn't perfect, apart from the fact we only had booked for one night! We will definitely return again soon and stay longer.

Host was very welcoming and helpful. Location and grounds. Flower show in the grounds. Modèrn shower and bathroom facilities Historic quirkiness of the Manoir.

Could not understand how to operate overhead shower (hand held was fine) Would have preferred better towels and linen. Breakfast table was too small for all plates,cups, cutlery (10 people setting), so used items needed to be cleared to avoid guests stacking by them . Perhaps a smaller side table where guests could put used crockery would be helpful.

Le Manoir du Ribardon is an 18th century property located in the area of Normandy referred to as "Suisse Normande" because of the picturesque countryside. David, the owner is a perfect host with a great passion for the 18th and 19th century. He has and furnished and styled the property with antiques of these periods. I stayed in the Majestic suite; this also has an elegant seating room, the bedroom offers a balcony to experience the exceptional views of the countryside and of the race horses in the paddocks. Breakfast at Le Manoir Ribardon, was a magnificent affair with a vast ranger of local quality products.

Amazing manor house tastefully decorated in a gorgeous location. David welcomed us to his beautiful home and was a superb host. He prepared a generous breakfast with a variety of fruit, yoghurt, breads, juice, tea/coffee... Gluten free was accommodated very well. The bedroom was such a haven and was the biggest we have experienced with a large bedroom tastefully decorated, a sitting room and a large bathroom with shower. There were fantastic views of the countryside from the room. We truly loved our two days with David and would definitely return at a moments notice. Congratulations David on all your great work and enthusiasm to create a fantastic experience.

David, our host, was charmimg. He has a wonderful engaging personality and we noticed that all the guests quickly warmed to him. He went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and was happy to advise on local sights to visit and recommended restaurants. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful but simple, mainly continental breakfast style with cooked eggs as an option. A 'full English breakfast' was not an option. The location was excellent for exploring Falaise and other nearby places of interest.

Its location in more isolated areas may be less convenient for guests who want easy access to urban areas or attractions.

Beautifully restored mansion in a quiet location, in a park setting, yet less than 50mins from the Caen ferry port. David, the owner was charming - nothing was too much trouble. Our room, the deluxe double, was stunning, with a separate living room area. It was like staying in a private home. The breakfast was the best we’ve had at a B&B - pancakes, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and fresh strawberries.
