This little hotel is a gem! My third stay here is Paris, and I love it…I am a 74 year old independent traveler and Chabrol Opera checks all the blanks, close to Gar du Nord, close to Metro station Poissonniere…There is a nice restaurant next door, and a great pastry shop across the street…one block away is the laundromat and grocery store..The staff is great with 24 hour dest service..A great breakfast with scrambled eggs and ham… Elevator and big windows that open to the street..I recommend this hotel for people who do not need a spa experience, people who want a clean, safe hotel will love it.

This is my third stay at Hotel Chabrol Opera It's a tiny hotel in a great location - just a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord. It's surrounded by restaurants and cafes, but is very quiet when you're in your room. Delightfully quirky too.

I don't not like this, as I'm aware of it from previous visits, but the single rooms, and their bathrooms, are very small indeed (so that might be off-putting for some people). Also the lifts go to the 'in-between' floors, as it's so small. So if you are staying on the 3rd floor, you need to get out of the lift at floor 2 1/2 and then walk up a few stairs - not great if you have a lot of luggage!

Great location for access to Metro and GDN. Friendly and helpful staff. Daily room service to make bed and replace towels. Good water pressure in the shower. Fan in room for hot weather.

Close to police station so sirens in the night. Only a problem with the window open and easy fix with earplugs. Lift is to split level between floors, so one flight of stairs up or down to your room with the suitcase.

Great location, close to gare du Nord for getting the Eurostar, or the RER to the airport. Very cute room, nice and cozy with views over rooftops, quite picturesque. Beds were comfortable. They also let us store our luggage before and after check-in and check out

One thing to note is that the elevator only goes up to the fourth floor, and for the fifth and sixth floor you'll need to use a spiral staircase. This is a bit uneven and I did end up rolling my ankle carrying my bag down at checkout. So do bear that in mind if you have mobility issues or if you are travelling with heavy bags

I was worried when I realised I hadn’t booked a place with air con but the fan was very good and kept the room cool so no issues. We got the Eurostar and this location is perfect to walk to from gare du nord. Walking distance to a lot of attractions, we decided to get the short metro to the Eiffel tour as this was further away about 1 hour 20 mins to walk.

The lift only goes up to the 4th floor and and there are 6 just be aware if you have big luggage.

Hotel is pretty close to the “Gare du Nord” station, 10 mins by walking. The staff were very polite and helpful. They even let us change before our check in after very long flight to Paris and we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check in time. The room we stayed was at the bottom floor and it was a little uncomfortable noise wise especially in the morning. Overall it was clean and comfortable. We pretty much walked everywhere but the subway station Poissonniere is pretty close to the hotel also.

Quite close to Gare du Nord 5/10 min.'s easy walk and also close to Poissonnière Metro station. Helpful and kind staff. Breakfast buffet available and quite alright.

Lift somewhat tricky as it doesn't stop every floor but every 1 and a half floor. So say your room is on floor 3 you may either choose to use the lift to 4th floor and walk down to your room actual floor or use the lift up to 3rd floor and walk up a few stairs. Quite common in Paris for older type hotels. Not much of a hassle, though, really. You'll survive!

We loved our stay, super close to Gare du Nord (we came via Eurostar) great room (decent size for Paris for the price)and the staff were all lovely, both before our stay via phone and whilst we were there. Room was a decent size, bathroom facilities great, breakfast included and right by the metro so we could walk to all attractions or jump on the trains! Couldn’t fault it! Lovely patisserie and restaurant close by for breakfast/brunch! It was freezing in Paris on our visit, but room was lovely and cosy. Stayed with my 16 year old daughter and felt safe in hotel and neighbourhood. Would recommend and stay again.

Tea/coffee facilities would have been nice but a nice excuse to venture out for coffees etc

Room 2 on the ground floor was a big enough room by Paris standards and even the en suite had plenty of room. If you are looking at the photos I attached, the bed sheets were tidy when I entered the room. This photo was just after checking around for bed bugs due to recent problems across Paris, which I did not find any trace of during my stay.

The seals around the shower doors do not keep all of the water inside of the shower so you will easily have a puddle in the middle of the en suite floor if you don't have a towel on the floor to soak it up.

- The staff was nice to us, and when we requested to change the room, they let us do so - The hotel, while not particularly close to the center is easily reachable by metro - There is a room to leave your bags before check in

- The first room we were given had a 'view' of a dirty roof with cigarette buds - The elevator only stops at half floors, so it's not convenient with suitcases
