Hotel Lena is in a great location, midway between Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. The rooms are small, but quiet, and bathrooms very clean. Security is also very good for this busy location. You can walk to many of the interesting sites from there - we enjoyed the markets opposite, which are a delight to walk around, the Pompidou, and Montmartre, and were able to get to other places on the metro. Try L'Escalier a few blocks away for some authentic bar atmosphere and friendly hospitality - a drink and a Planche Mixte - terrific value with their reasonably priced beers and wines. A croissant at a Bayer Artisan Boulangerie with a fabulous choice of croissants and good coffee. Or a pizza at Villa Andrea for the best vegetarian pizza we have had in all of Europe!

The Hotel Lena was the most expensive hotel we've stayed in in Europe (and we know that it was cheaper than other hotels). German and British hotels of a comparable standard were way less expensive and the rooms were bigger. But we were happy to be somewhere we could walk and enjoy the atmosphere of Paris, a beautiful city. For that reason we are very happy to recommend Hotel Lena.

the bathroom smelled a little the elevator was very small (1 person) - in the morning I had to wait 15 minutes for the elevator because every time the elevator got to my floor there was already someone in it.

Location ideal for use of both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, at first I was concerned about being too close to these stations, but I was pleasantly surprised, the hotel was very good and neighborhood totally fine! The staff was SOOOO nice! I adored the lobby entrance, it was bright, colorful, and comfy! And when we needed the use of a taxi, it was no problem to wave one down!

I think the bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, but the floors might just have been super dated and worn out, you could see some age on the decor, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, so no big deal. I would still stay here again, on returning to Paris, it was a great location, and we utilized the metro and trains quite a bit on our trip.

Conveniently located within walking distance to all public transport, shops, cafes and restaurants. The building and my room was very clean. Pleasant, helpful staff incl. the cleaners. Loved my 7th floor double room with balcony and great views. Very comfortable bed, nice shower and great towels.The local boulangerie cafe up the street was such good value, it’s a busy area but I slept really well. Thanks Hôtel Léna :)

Tiny 2 person elevator lift so I used the stairs a lot though not a big deal. Could be challenging for light sleepers as heard sirens quite a bit at night coming from the emergency services. Having said that I personally slept very well.

we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We expected the rooms to be small, however that did not bother us. The front desk staff was very helpful and answered all our questions. The bed was comfortable. I LOOVed the water pressure in the shower after a long day of walking. The neighborhood is vibrant and we liked that. The Metro station is close by and plenty of bistros and boulangeries in the area with great food.

My adult children were placed on the 7th floor while we were on the 1st floor. They c/o of street noise at night.

It was very close the central train station.

Very small room. Don't even have a fridge.

The hôtel is very conveniently located close to both la Gare du Nord and la Gare de l'Est. We had three rooms which were all comfortable although the two described as cosy were quite small. The third room which we booked as a double was great - it had a small seating area at one side and a well set out en suite at the other. The room also had a balcony overlooking the Boulevard de Magenta with spectacular views to Montmartre and even a distant view of Notre Dame. All the rooms were clean and comfortable. Access to the upper floors was by a small lift. Breakfast was excellent: served in the ground floor breakfast room with a great selection of good quality charcuterie, cheeses, fresh fruit, bread and viennoiseries along of course with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit juices and all regularly topped up throughout the breakfast period. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and it was great to be able to leave our luggage on the day of our departure until we were ready to travel in the late afternoon - allowing us to make the most of the day.

There was very little not to like.

Had a really lovely stay, the size of the room was a real surprise. We were not expecting for it to have 2 floors! Lovely layout and decoration, even had an downstairs toilet as well as the main bathroom upstairs. Felt a lot more modern than some hotels we saw around Paris, great location and easy walk to Gare du Nord. Highly recommend!

Only had very small issues, 1 was that the guy on reception was quite grumpy with us upon checking in (it may have just been a long day) all other staff were super friendly. The 2nd is that the shower didn't have a seal along the bottom so water went all over the bathroom floor through the gap (bit irritating), and we were there for 2 nights and the wi-fi wouldn't connect on the 2nd night. However more positives and very small negatives.

It was a great location if you need to get to Gare du Nord. Quite a few restaurants, a bakery and Aldi nearby. It was clean and had helpful and friendly staff.

We struggled a little to get the heat pump to the right temperature.

Good room on top floor. Good shower. Breakfast OK. Fantastic location, a very short walk from both Gare Du Nord and Gare De L'Est. There is a free room safe that I did not see mentioned in any of the literature. Very close to Bus stops and Metro. Use the "Bonjour RATP" to buy discount tickets. Really easy to use.

The hanging rail for clothes (attached to ceiling) is in a stupid place so that clothes hand over bedside table. Perhaps I did not read small print fully, but there was an unexpected City tax of approx 10 euro per day payable on departure.
