The hotel's location is perfect for the Gare du Nord and Montmartre. It is a traditional French hotel with the basics necessary for a comfortable short stay - it was just what I expected and what I enjoy about a night in Paris. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great. What the hotel is not is a modern, international "business" hotel with international TV, all the bells and whistles. I didn't try the wifi.

Nothing really. As indicated above, the facilities are basic, which isn't an issue for me. The hotel doesn't have a 24 hour reception, there is a "curfew" at 1:00am and if you leave before 8:00am in the morning you have to let yourself out. For me, none of this was the slightest inconvenience.

Efficient. Everything was exactly as described. Convenient location across the road from Gare du Nord. Even though there was no air conditioner in our room (which we knew in advance), the room was not too hot: it was halfway up the building, on a side-street, and so did not have too much solar gain, plus the blackout curtains helped to keep sunlight out of the room so it stayed reasonably cool.

It's old-fashioned. Without air-conditioning, we had to keep the window open slightly for fresh air, but in the morning this allowed in some noise from the roadworks outside. (Fortunately, the thick curtains deadened the sound a bit.)

Friendly staff, convenient location - by Gare du Nord station. Useful to be able to leave luggage after checking out to pick up later in the day. Spacious room, well furnished - a large desk, two upright chairs, and an armchair. A full-size bath with a shower over.

WiFi was not good. I got various dire security warnings, and it was hit and miss whether it would work anyway. I mostly used mobile data. With better WiFi, this hotel would be ideal for those needing to work remotely, because there was a good size desk and decent lighting. Very dated decor, especially in the hallways/stairs. This didn't bother me. Sausage shaped pillow was uncomfortable, but fortunately normal pillows provided also.

Some people have left negative reviews about this place, without reading/checking the hotel's specific policies, mainly to do with closing at 1am for the night, mentioning that there were no lifts, and leaving your room key every time you go out. I found these very easy to understand and had no issues with. them. Location is excellent, just yards away from Gare du Nord main line and metro station. The people who run the hotel are also very lovely. Yes, the rooms are basic, but functional. Again no issues here as a solo traveller. It might (definitely would) have been a tight squeeze for more people!

Wifi when it worked was fine, but could be intermittent.

It's a very basic hotel just in front of the North Station. It's actually better than expected. The bed is big and everything is functioning. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Host is a very nice family and tries to meet all your needs. They waited for me until midnight on my arrival day.

The bathroom is too full, and it's a bit difficult to go into and out of the shower. You need to give keys back to reception and memorize the reception opening hours. It's a bit inconvenient but acceptable.

Close to the train station. The room was small, but good enough for a night. Old Hotel, but they try their best to keep it clean.

This is a budget hotel right next to the Gare De Nord in Paris. The hotel was safe and secure. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The ensuite shower was hot. Late arrival and early departure were no problem. An ideal cheap transit accommodation. If you want frills - pay 3 times the price at the Ibis next door.

No frills and no lift. But none were promised It was all I could expect. The decorations were not to my taste. But it was new.

All the staff here are pretty friendly and warm. (They seem to be a family.) The rooms and decorations, including the big pink walls and tall wooden cupboard inside, are in an elegant traditional style, greatly surprising me. Although the toilet was also in the old style, it was in good condition for use. The location is convenient--just across from the North Gare of Paris. Also, I felt secure in the hotel, for they locked the gate and small door to the stairs from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. For me, the whole stay here was a pretty nice journey!

The rooms are very basic but are comfortable and clean. The property is well located with great transport links. The gentleman who checked us in was fantastic and was really communicative when we had to delay our check in time due to our train being delayed. They serve lovely coffee downstairs and have amenities like a hair dryer on request.

It’s quite noisy. You can hear the trains as it’s close to one of the main train stations. The walls seem quite thin as you can hear other guests moving and talking in the corridors.

Our stay here was great! The staff were so kind and gave us instructions on what to do and how to take the transportation to ORLY airport. The hotel is lovely and very close to the metro station (with so many connecting lines). We had a comfortable stay here. It is very lively around the area and there are tons of restaurants and supermarkets that will fit your budget!
