The hotel is right across the street from Gare du Nord and within 10 minutes walk from Gare d'l East, therefore very convenient for getting in, out and around Paris. The staff is very friendly and gave us a free up-graded room when we found the original room we booked is a little small and not as well equipped.

Even though the hotel is right across the street from Gare du Nord, the neighborhood does not give one a very safe feeling if one has to walk around or get back to the hotel later at night.

Location was the main bonus. Right opposite Gard Du Nord for my train in the morning Loads of local places to eat and drink...and shop. Out of the city centre so not too many tourists.

Breakfast was not good value. 20 Euros for some cereal and bread is not value for money. No hot option was available, nor were there cold meats, eggs etc.

- The hotel is very well located if you plan to take the metro or train a lot for your travels - The hotel has been magnificently renovated and the decor is very attractive - The included breakfast was great - The windows/walls are very well insulated, even though the hotel is located directly in front of the Gare du Nord station and there's a lot of noise 24 hours a day, so when the balcony door was closed, you couldn't hear a thing. - The hotel is very secure, there's always someone at reception, and if there isn't, the front doors are locked and you have to ring to get in - The mattress was comfortable - Towels were large and comfortable

- The sheets of the bed were really NOT comfortable, they were rough, almost like sandpaper - The neighborhood doesn't seem the safest in the evening/at night - The room is very small, but that's to be expected in Paris. - There's a lack of clothes storage in the room, especially if you're a couple traveling for a few days - Lighting is inadequate for applying make-up in front of mirrors At the time of our stay, the hotel had only been open for 1 month, so there were no services available (restaurants, spa, laundry, etc.)

Property was close proximity to the Gare du Nord station. It was clean and I love the coffee restaurant downstairs. Check in was quick and easy, even with the Eurostar delays.

I had breakfast included with my booking, for myself and my wife. For reasons unknown they refused us when we first arrived for breakfast without even checking their computer. My wife and myself went back upstairs to our hotel room to check our booking, which confirmed that breakfast was included. When my wife went downstairs to confront them, the same hotel staff checked the computer, changed his story and said we did have breakfast included with the booking. It was very rude, time wasting and frankly we felt profiled by it. They did not do that to anyone else just us, also no apology.

Staff: The staff at Hotel Flanelles are incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. Their excellent service really stands out. Cleanliness: The hotel maintains an impeccable standard of cleanliness. The room was tidy, spotless, and well-kept, making it a pleasant and inviting place to stay. Comfort: The bed is absolutely fantastic—soft, supportive, and incredibly comfortable. It’s perfect for a restful night after a day of exploring Paris. Location: The hotel is perfectly situated right across from Gare du Nord, just a few steps away. It offers easy access to intercity trains, the metro, and is conveniently located for exploring nearby attractions on foot. Plus, there’s no shortage of restaurants nearby, so dining options are plentiful. Worth the Money: Considering the level of service, comfort, and prime location, Hotel Flanelles offers great value for money.

Facilities: While the room amenities are excellent (including a fantastic hairdryer and well-equipped bathroom), the hotel’s overall facilities are quite limited. The elevator, for example, is very small and, during your visit, was out of order. Thankfully, the staff handled the situation well, but it could be an inconvenience for some guests.

Noise from the street

Location was fabulous - right near train. Staff were very helpful.

The bathroom walls are transparent glass which may be ok for some but not for a dad travelling with teenage daughter. No privacy while showering. We were able to switch rooms so at least had a toilet without the glass door, but still weird to have a shower with no proper walls.

I chose the hotel because of its proximity to Gare du Nord. I wanted to be able to get to my accommodation and the airport easily. The decor and design of the room were great, well thought out, the bed was very comfortable, the pillows were varied in firmness to suit all tastes. Lakhdar and Massi at reception were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the attached café was tasty too.

The area is convenient but not exactly calm, it’s a little rough. I walked a lot and found it to be ok though. The little balcony off my room had great views but the ivy was really overgrown so it looked a little sad and I didn’t want to sit out there, although it had a little table and two chairs and would have been a great place for a sundowner.

Really lovely stay! Staff on reception were so welcoming and polite and were able to check us in to a room earlier than advertised. We were given a room upgrade in celebration of my fiancé’s birthday and the offer of some drinks on the house which I thought was so lovely. Location is great, lots of restaurants around and directly opposite Gare du Nord station. Would 100% stay again.

Room could just do with a slight touch up, i.e some paint in some areas where it had become scuffed, other than this the room was immaculate!

The hotel is close to Gare du Nord which is helpful if you’re coming into France late or leaving early via the Eurostar. It is also close to most of fast food which is handy again when you have arrived into France late. The receptionist was kind enough to allow us to check in a few minutes earlier as we had luggage that we wanted them to hold and as I had my 9 year old this was a life saver.

Drainage within the shower is very slowly so you are standing in dirty water whilst showering . Cleaner needs to clean the bathroom floor better. The was brown stains in the conners of the bathroom which wasn’t nice. The amount of people that look dodgy standing outside the hotel door. I know this is beyond the hotel’s control but it just makes it feel unsafe
