The room has a comfortable bed, good shower, good WiFi and the staff is really nice. Because the Station Paris L’Est is so close (5-10’ walking) you are everywhere in Paris (sacre coeur, Eiffel Tower etc.) within 30’. The area is really calm, with restaurants and cafes near by just like everywhere in Paris. We came earlier then check in around 12pm and they still gave us a room. Good value for money for Paris.

The room was rather small, but you still have enough space for luggage and it’s really enough. The sink is really small so when doing my skin care water would get on the floor a bit but it was no problem because you get so many towels. As a girl with a long hair care and skin care I was fine;)

Nice and cozy hotel perfect for a short business stay or a weekend trip to Paris. The room was clean with enough closet space and the bed comfortable. Cleaning service came daily so the room was alwas perfect. The hotel is located on a side street with very little trafic but close enough to Gare de L'Est train and metro station and Chateau d'Eau metro station. Other stations and bus stops are also nearby. Breakfast offer was quite classic with fresh pastries, good baguettes and very good coffee. All members of staff were always kind and helpful!

The bathroom was small and lacked good ventilation so it was a little damp at times.

I recommend this hotel if you want a central place to stay. Walking distance to 2 train stations and several metros. Safe environment. Spotless clean bathroom (how is that possible?) Convenient stores nearby for your eating and shopping needs. Above all, great staff members! Everyone I meet were helpful and sweet and cheerful. I especially want to thank the sir who allowed me to store luggage before going out to see Olympics opening, and the sir who greeted me after being completely soaked in the rain after the Olympics opening, and the sir who put me in the first floor and stopped watching TV just so I can have a quiet evening.

The only thing I didn't like is the noise of the neighbors' doors (when open and close). But I do have very sensitive ears compared to normal people, so maybe it won't bother other people.

Nice boutique type hotel in a very good location with a choice of metro stations around so easy to commute. The staff was very friendly and helpful, special thanks to Sergio. As typical French older hotels in this area, room was very small but it had everything I needed.

Night staff slept in the lounge area during my check-out on the 8th of October. He clearly wasn't happy I woke him up with my very early check out, hence he went back to sleep on his temporary bed before I even left which made me feel like an intruder in his sleep while he was still on duty. I understand night shifts can be hard, I've done them too, so perhaps a bit more discreet way would be possible.

Very nice stay. The position on map is pretty good, close to Gare de l'Est and 20 minutes walk to Chatelet. Rooms are not very big, but still bigger than in most hotels around, and you have everything you need: very good bed, excellent wi-fi connection, beautiful TV set with programs, socket near to bed, electric kettle, minibar and enough space for your clothes. Very nice people at the Reception, always ready to help! Thank you very much! We will be back more then once in the next months!

Better could have been a longer stay!

The best part was the staff specifically Toufi. I left a lot of money over 500 euros in my hotel room after I left for the airport. He actually westerly union the money all the way to Los Angeles and quick. I had the money when I got home. Such a good honest guy. Makes you believe there are still good people in the world. Restored my faith in humanity. The hotel room was bigger than most in Paris for the price. The location was very sweet safe and very parisy. The breakfast buffet was great lots of food and always refilling everything. If you get a cab to the airport on weekend you might hit traffic so leave early! The place was quiet and the mini bar was great. Great experience.

We have now stayed at hotel Soft on 4 occassions and love it Position great for Gare D’Est and Gare Du Nord and the wonderful Canal Martin is just at end if street The 10th Arron.is a short metro ride to centre of Paris , with choice of metro stations just round the corner We take a superior Q / S room as they are not large, very comfortable bed and quiet , perfectly adequate and for Paris and very reasonably priced Hotel Softs staff have always been courteous and helpful The breakfast is extra A$20 and well worth it, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a good variety of everything you could ask for Staff are always pleasant and helpful and we would nit stay anywhere else There is a good choice of restaurants on the Canal , can highly recommend Bistro Marine , wonderful food every visit

Absolutely nothing

- The position is excellent, in a beautiful and central area of Paris, just a few minutes' walk away from Canal St Martin. - While the spaces are small, the room is well-equipped, with nothing missing (e.g. there is a small fridge, working Wi-Fi connection, etc.) - The staff is helpful and friendly; a particular mention for Serge, who speaks several languages and is always willing to help. - The breakfast is good and varied.

- The room, lift, corridor, breakfast room, staircase, and all passageways are quite narrow and crammed. However, this must be considered in relation to the average of central Paris, and this accommodation is excellent value for money for such a central and convenient location.

Stayed here one night with my niece and we enjoyed it a lot! Especially Ahmed took very good care of us and made us feel comfortable everytime! The room was really spacious and clean. We got a huge bed and an additional twin bed (which wasn’t needed). The AC worked well. It was quiet at night although our room was facing the street. The hotel is just a 5min walk from Gare de l‘Est from where we arrived. From there it is easy to reach any destination by metro. We didn’t go out at night but at daytime I didn’t feel much comfortable walking in that area, especially with a child. For a short stay in Paris it is a good hotel to stay.

A little bit far from all the attractions. The area is not really family friendly.

I loved a few things about this room. I was happy to have my own bathroom, with nice and hot water. I loved the view from my 5th story window onto the streets of Paris. I loved the air-conditioning unit. The breakfast was quite good with many choices. The tiny jars of jam were so good and so cute. Both men I interacted with at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Toufik checked me in and showed me how breakfast worked. Ahmed gave me back my things from the after checkout storage area, offered me to set and get some coffee and walked me out to help with my suitcase into the car of my Uber driver.

There were two things that were not even close to deal-breakers that could be better. Occasionally, I would smell unpleasant odors from the bathroom. Usually, shortly after just using it myself. The air conditioning unit started to drip, as well. Small potatoes in the realm of things.
