As many reviews have mentioned, this is a step back in time, but it’s a good place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. Although they don’t speak much English and our French is poor, we managed to communicate just fine. As in most French hotels the room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a good shower and it was very quiet for a restful sleep. If you want something modern and upscale this is not for you. It was in a great location… walking distance to Montparnasse and St. German. there are 2 cafe’s close by… Judy’s delicious breakfast ( gluten free.. unusual for Paris) and a big coffee and Bread and Roses, also a delish breakfast.

For a budget Paris hotel it was perfect for our stay. Great location just minutes from the buzz of Montparnasse district. Room had a powerful and hot shower. It is a dated property as others have said but clean and comfortable for a couple of nights sightseeing when you are not in your room for long. Friendly and helpful staff, able to leave suitcase behind reception for several hours without issue. There isn't a lift so it might not be suitable for the less mobile. There is a slight rumble sound of the local metro from the rooms, quiet area apart from that. Would personally stay at Stanislas again for the value for money and location.

The room was perfect for what I paid for it. I wanted a room that was in a great location, and that I felt comfortable going back to at the end of the night as a solo female traveler. The employees there made me feel welcome. Every time I stepped in the door it felt like I was greeting friends in the morning and at the end of the night. Not to mention two Metro stations were within a few minutes walking distance so the location was perfect for sightseeing during the day! It was a very basic room, on the smaller side and is a bit older, the decor hadn't been updated in a while. That being said, I wasn't in Paris to hang out in my hotel room, just to sleep there, and for that it did the job completely fine. I would most definitely consider staying here again should I come back to Paris in the future!

This property is tended to and maintained by their owners who were super friendly, courteous and helpful. The building is historical, and so it is a bit outdated, but for the price and considering it’s great location with access to bus and metro stations, cafes, bars, restaurants and mini markets as well as landmarks, our stay here helped us make the most of our visit to Paris.

For the price and location it did exactly what is says on the tin, and staff very friendly, liked the Paris themed reception.

A small family-run hotel. It is simple, but clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, in a quiet street less than fifteen minutes on foot from the city centre. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It is very good value for money.

Great variety of explore-the-city leaflets at reception desk. Employees are somewhat welcoming.

The room wasn't prepared at check-in time. The stairs might seem claustrophobic. Communication was tough 😅 Stained toilet bowl.

The location Is excellent. Friendly and cute staff. The room looked even better than in the photos. Very clean and tidy, the towels vere changed daily. Comfortable beda. Highly recommend.
