The hotel is just two minutes from Metro Bastille and ten steps from the Place de la Bastille, so very central. There are lots of cafes and bars just a few steps away and Paris Opera Bastille is on the doorstep. The Port de l'Arsenal is also just a few steps away and a great place for a morning stroll. The room is very neatly laid out, plenty of hot water, and a wonderful view over the Place de la Bastille. I found the room beautifully clean and liked that it was made up each day.

It's important to be aware that this hotel is in a traditional old style Parisien building. There is no lift and access to rooms is up a tightly winding staircase. I would suggest any elderly or infirm people consider this when booking.

The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. They very kindly took our luggage up to the 6th floor since there is no lift. The design and comfort of the rooms is great. Very Scandinavian in style with great attention to detail. Place de la Bastille is a great location and neighbourhood. Great value for money.

We had the room on the 6th floor with 3 beds and we could only open the window facing Place de la Bastille (very noisy when open but very quiet when closed) but we could not open the window facing the courtyard or the window in the bathroom (not even tilted). It was for safety reasons but it was not very pleasant, especially in the bathroom.

Perfect location as you literally pass the street to Bastille Metro station. Our room was overlooking the big square and can see the Metro sign (: Very efficient room, small but has everything you need except for a mini bar which is ok for short stays. Very clean. The entrance for the rooms is from a hidden door behind book shelves at the entrance of the bar/restaurant (: Lots of shops and restaurants around. Just 2 stops away from Marais where you’ll have all the nice shops and restaurants/coffee shops. Amazing experience overall.

What an absolute gem !!! In upbeat location Felt like a real Parisian in this cozy nook. Bastille is such a convenient yet hip location - a rock around the clock !! Beloved the neighborhood Marais, marché Beauvau, Viaduc des Arts..with tons of workshops, …high end handcraft… Great restaurants at the door, loved Brasserie Rosie and quick delish Yataï Ramen after a long day running around town. +++ 3 metro stops to the Louvre area !! (Irasshaï great Japanese) All so easy.. As a solo female business traveller felt V safe and extended my stay. - OH LA LA ! is such a great surprise - Soundproof windows with a view to remember - Impeccably clean - Staff most helpful and kind HIGHLY recommend. Nothing quite honestly. Knowing there was a steep staircase only added to the parisian charm.

The location was absolutely perfect. In the heart of Bastille and all the wonderful cafes. The staff was so very helpful. Even helped carry our luggage up ….5 flights of stairs. Ouch but the view was amazing from our room, and totally worth it. Breakfast was delicious. Especially the fresh juice. And i could eat the crepes every day, which i did! I loved that we kept the key at the front desk. So if i came back from my meeting early while my family was out and about i didn’t have to go find them. It was a nice touch not to have to worry about loosing the key either. We entered the stairwell hidden behind a bookshelf which adder flair to the whole experience. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Thank you Oh La La!!

The stairs!! I liked them for the continued exercise but after 100 of them each trip up it was a bit tiring. By the end of the week there it got better. My daughter did mention the carpet was very hard and hurt her feet to walk on but I felt it very massaging after a long day of exploring.

location is amazing especially if you have opera tickets as we had. Also access to the Marais and a wonderful area around the hotel full of night life. Metro literally in front of the door

Breakfast was not so oh la la, more la la. The coffee and especially the oat milk was very bitter/sour and the breakfast choices were basic. Not worth it - go to one of the cafes around. Despite earplugs, it was very noisy from party goers around the clock. The windows are well insulated, still there is a constant stream of traffic, chatter, music, sirenes and quite often drunk or drugged people. The area felt safe though. No lift and precarious stairs, which made luggage a problem. On the way in, the person from reception helped us but not when we checked out

I was very impressed with the service from the reception team. On our first night, we experienced an issue with the air conditioner. The staff showed genuine concern and promptly offered us several alternatives. We opted to use a portable device that night instead of changing rooms, and by the next day, the air conditioner was already fixed. To make up for the inconvenience, they invited us to a complimentary breakfast, which was a lovely gesture.The hotel's location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city.

While the room was on the smaller side and having to use the stairs wasn't ideal, the staff accommodated our request and provided us with a room on the first floor, understanding that we had a lot of luggage.

Location is excellent and very convenient to explore the city. Cleanliness and room condition were excellent. The view from the 5th floor was perfect, noise from the street during Friday/Saturday evening was minimal.

Room was rather small making it difficult to navigate at times. However this was well communicated before hand and is something rather common in central Paris at this price level. Absence of elevator can make arrival and departure with heavy luggage a challenge, especially if you are located on the top floors . Stuff is eager to help, however this remains an issue that needs to be mentioned as a disadvantage. Entrance to the hotel during afterhours (2:00 am or later) is not possible with the available hotel key. You have to knock until the duty receptionist can notice you to grant you access. Surely a better arrangement can be made in 2024.

The staff was super friendly, the room clearly was recently refurbed and had lovely soap. The location is extremely central and the windows were thick enough to block out the noise. I also liked that the sink was outside the bathroom, especially if you’re in a couple - you don’t have to wait for the other person to be done/not everything gets wet. I also got several tea bags that got restocked every day - and I love having tea in the morning and at night so that was a nice touch.

It got very warm and I was there in March. My AC didn’t work, I didn’t ask to have it fixed though so that was probably just a fluke. But the square is very loud - not when you close the windows, great insulation - but it means you can’t really sleep with the windows open.

Great location, very clean, and quirky entrance behind a faux book case. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I’d be happy to stay here again and I’d be happy to recommend to my friends, those who fit enough to be ok with steep stairs. The property was as described and any criticism was down to choices that I made when booking.

We had chosen the room with no view thinking about noise from the Bastille, but if I stay again I’d pay the extra for the view. The sound proofing was great and the no view room had a dismal outlook. Breakfast was not a strong point but it was adequate .
