The location and breakfast.

My room was a bit small for a double room.

The staff were all absolutely delightful. So helpful and very friendly. They made our stay very special. They would let us know the best route for our destination. The location could not be better. You have the metro, bus station, shops & restaurants all so close it was excellent. Plus the cleaners are great and do such a good job of keeping the rooms clean.

The only issue if something needed mentioning ( which in fairness we didn't say anything) was in the bathroom the shower doors don't meet resulting in water escaping onto the floor. However, this is more a design floor and not something they can fix immediately.

Exceptional stay, very good staff. When I arrived to check in, they said I was booked for 2 rooms. I only booked 1 room, as I was a solo traveler. I made the reservation on Booking.com, and Booking.com booked me in error. Recommend booking direct with the hotel. Thankfully, the manager was present and agreed to charge me ONLY for the 1 room. Note, I did not know there was air-conditioning in the room, as it was not turned on. It was extremely hot, and it was a challenge to sleep at night. That could have been taken care of , had I known of the air-conditioning. Now, speaking about a few other excellent things: 1). Get the breakfast - I only ended up being able to enjoy one day, due to the tour times and needing to leave the hotel. WONDERFUL croissants, fruit, tea, Cafe, etc.. 2). Excellent value and walking proximity to several amazing places; including, restaurants, ATM. Aldi, etc. 3). Maria and Auberlie were spectacular. Provided special request upon arrival, Tea kettle, coffee etc. Aubergine helped coordinate a delayed checkout (so I was able to attend a tour). They recommended an amazing French restaurant around the corner (stellar cuisine although, less than stellar wait staff). 3).Quintessential Parisienne charm. Lastly, embrace the opportunity to really be in that area of Paris. The Virginia Hotel was such a delightful experience. I always felt as if I were returning home after long day of adventure Thank you, Virginia Hotel!

Booking.com double booking and subsequently attempting to charge me for double rooms.

We found the staff super helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, the bed sheets were fresh and crisp and the bed comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet suburb and we slept very well. The bus station is in the same street and the metro is just around the corner so very convenient for getting around. It take about 20 minutes by metro to get to the centre of Paris by metro. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants somewhere clean, quiet and friendly.

The room was a little small but if you are just sleeping there is isn't a big deal.

Staff was very nice and welcoming. As for breakfast option, they offer a good quality and variety of products spacing from savory to sweets, catering to everyone tastes. The baked good are particularly flavourful and you can tell they are freshly baked. Our room was spacious and tidy. As for the location, near you can find a quite big supermarket and a really nice boulangerie. Less then 5 minutes walk from the hotel there is the metro line 4, which is very quick and takes you basically in the centre of Paris. It takes you directly to Notre-Dame and also has a lot of station you can stop at and change. The neighbourhood is quiet and calm. I think this hotel is ideal if you are looking for a nice ratio quality/price and you want something that can be good for different types of stays (holiday, work, families, ecc).

Liked the styling of the hotel, staff was helpful and talkative. The room was big enough, the bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Its location is good, inside of and close to the Paris ring road, with two metro stations on different lines quite close. More suited for a couples holiday. The neighbourhood is quiet comparing to others in the city.

The price as a whole (with parking and breakfast) was on the expensive side, given the amenities. The breakfast was ok as quality, but it was a bit too simple and lacking variety, if you take into consideration the price. Most of the power outlets in the room weren't working.

The hotel is very nicely presented and the rooms are very clean. My room had a spacious shower/tub, an electric kettle, and a little balcony. Lots of space to store clothes. It is a 2-minute walk to the metro station, and there are buses nearby, so it was really easy to travel around the city. Their breakfast had a nice selection and good coffee. All of the staff were fantastic!

My only slight complaint is the lack of soundproofing. I could hear people talking in the next room, and the floor above me had a heavy walker for 2 hours every night (?) I will stay here again, but will try my luck with a different room.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff, Marie and Jose, were very welcoming and extremely helpful in helping us get around. We were given a room upgrade so we could be on the same floor as our friends. The Virgina is in / near Porte D'Orleans and very close to a bus depot so it was very easy to get a bus into the city, they were very regular. Marie helped us get a Navigo pass which covered all our bus and metro travel. As we were leaving, Jose recommended we got an uber which was a great idea and less than half the price of booking an airport taxi.

The lift is a little small and as we were on the 4th floor I struggled a little bit. We were told we had a room upgrade but the room seemed very small so not sure what a standard room would have been like.

The location was super, Jose was amazing given us a map and indications about routes, places, and a better transportation ways.

The carpets needs to be better clean.

Amazing staff, very friendly and always helpful. the room was very clean and it was cleaned every day. The building has it's original lift which is a must-see! The hotel is conveniently situated next to the tube and there are many cafes, restaurants and shops around. Very quiet location, however close to downtown by transport. Definitely recommend and would love to stay there again if we visit Paris 🇫🇷❤️
