Very helpful (and welcoming) staff… made no issue about changing the date of my reservation when I screwed up my last minute booking. Room was small but clean, bright and comfortable, and ample for me and my Vizslaramer dog. Enjoyed a couple of pints and lovely plate of cold meats and cheeses on the patio in the evening sun. Left early the following morning, so didn’t get to sample their breakfast offering. Will definitely stay here again.
Nothing really….(but one wouldn’t want to be claustrophobic using their elevator 😊)

This hotel is really unique and I absolutely loved it! It's very unusually situated in a suburban residential area and I awoke each morning to birdsong from the surrounding gardens. The hotel is full of interesting vintage items, everything from old jukeboxes to vintage ice skates. The accommodation floors had the feeling of being aboard a cruise liner from 100 years ago, with a central staircase and timber panelling. I had a single room up in the roof space with a velux, allowing me to lie in bed and watch the stars. The very large bed took up most of the room, which I found really cosy, and again giving the feeling of being on-board a ship, with the timber panelling and paintwork. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely crisp bed linen. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and overhead shower. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. I didn't try the highly recommended breakfast, as I'm vegan, but from what I saw, it looked great, and is served in a stylish light dining room looking out over the garden. There is a bakery at the end of the street a large organic shop about 10 minutes walk away, and it's about a 10 minute walk from the Cleunay metro station. I would highly recommend this unique hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable, friendly and unforgettable stay!
Couldn't fault anything.

The room was cosy but comfortable. There was a small balcony overlooking a very quiet residential street but only two blocks from major streets and highways. The bar was cute and vintage with loads of 50's and 60's movie memorabilia and though we opted out of breakfast, it looked copious with a lot on offer besides the usual French croissants, juice, bread and coffee. PLUS, checkout is at NOON!
In each room, you either have a shower or bathtub. Next time we request a shower because the bathtub had no curtain and even though it did have a handheld shower wand, it was tricky to not turn the bathroom into a wet room!

Cute place. Kind of strange because it is a small building in the middle of a suburban area. The garden is lovely and it‘s easy to park in the hotel lot.. It‘s easy to get to it from the highway. The bus stop to the center is nearby. There is a lot of paraphernalia from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. It was fun to look at all of it. Even a juke box. The pictures on the walls were also from this era. It was a lot of fun. The breakfast was okay. Fresh orange juice machine to make your own juice was yummy. The staff were friendly. I liked the centra staircases. There is a VERY small elevator that fits two people, maybe 2 + a child. We could get one person and two suitcases inside but not two suitcases and two people. There‘s an automat down the street for french bread- very cool 75 cents and out pops a warm french baquette.
It‘s a bit off the beaten track and there were few amenities around.. no grocery store, for example. The room is rather tiny. It wasn‘t easy to have two big suitcases. The breakfast could be a bit better. The cheese provided could / should be better and perhaps, adding some ham or salami would have been nice.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. The hotel is very good value for money. Clean and very welcoming. An excellent location when travelling to St Malo for an early morning ferry departure. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You need to book early as the room vacancies are snapped up.
A bit of a walk into the centre of Rennes. However worthwhile considering the hotel is excellent value for money and an excellent location from the auto route

Very comfortable room, small but enough for us. The bed was very comfy and the hotel really quiet so we had a good nigh of sleep. Easy check in. Very peculiar decorations but we liked it. Free parking on site, very handy as we were doing a roadtrip. There's not much on the surrounding area, took us 30min walking to get to the center but it's a nice walk. WI Fi worked well.
The only negative thing is the shower, very tight and the water pressure in none existent. They do ask if we want shower or bath on the check in, so if they ask you, choose bath as it will be probably bigger!

Room was clean and tidy. There was a shower hose on the bath, I prefer a full shower so that's more a preference. Bed was comfortable, no excess noise and even a siesta nap was refreshing. The breakfast was great, with freshly squeezed orange juice a great touch, rather than the concentrated sugar stuff.
If space would allow a small kettle in the room for tea/coffee could be provided.

Well, this was "different." This was a refreshing bit of charm and charisma when compared to all the standardized hotels of the world. While the hotel looks old in the pictures, it was very pleasant despite the fact most of the decor could be classified as antiquities. My stay was very comfortable - the beds were great, the bathroom was clean, bus stop and metro were close to the hotel. I can highly recommend this for a stay in Rennes.
The vending machine does not accept contactless payments - I was crawling on my "late-night thirst run" there to find that I didn't have enough EUR coins to get a can of soft drink. Not a bit issue, though. :-)

The selection offered for breakfast was exceptional and the dining room was full of items useful to visitors. Care and attention was given to the needs of travellers very rarely seen. Most accommodation is geared to maximising profit and finding ways to extract additional revenue from visitors. It was unusual to see that this was not the case with this hotel.
We do not like coffee vending machines in general which are particularlly unsuitable for those who enjoy drinking black tea which needs water hot enough to properly infuse the tea. Vending machines provide water that is not hot enought so the inclusion of a kettle or hot water urn would be a nice addition. We understand they are very common in France. We noticed other guests were somewhat confused by the operation of the machine although it did not require the input of money.

It is my 4th or 5th time in the hotel. My rating has been a 5 star all the way through. A perfect example of a successful boutique hotel, friendly staff, very professional in a relax way, very quiet environment, and pet friendly with a nice walk in a "jardin ouvrier" in the back of the hotel. For the breakfast, starting at 6.30am during weekdays, the baguette is still warm from the backer's oven...to die for!
