It's a special place and an adventure stay as the flat needs some climbing to get to the living and sleeping room :) for me it was really nice and cozy, with good atmosphere and clean kitchen and bath room. Good area in town, very central too! I had to do some work calls with many participants which is usually good test for wifi, worked well too! The owners were very kind, allowed to check-in earlier and served simple but tasty breakfast in the mornings. Highly recommended!

Firstly, the owner was very attentive putting himself in touch with us even before we arrived to share instructions with us to ensure we made the most of our visit and understood where to park, how to enter. He was there when we arrived making sure we knew how everything worked and that we were happy with the small apartment, because it is not a room, it is a very nice apartment with antique furniture and a wonderful balcony. Location could not be better either. And then he asked us when we wanted breakfast in our room and it was alright. Coffee, bread, croissants, butter, and marmalades where very good.

The juice.

This is a chambre d'hôte, not a hotel, it is in the 3rd floor of an old, but refurbished house near the center on top of a bakery. Our stay was very pleasant, although some installations were quite old. Very good bed, breakfast in the room. Many restaurants nearby, we choose the very cosy L'Abri du Marché at Place de Lices (simple and good) and the restaurant La Taverne de la Marine (good seafood, reservation recommended) for dinner. Instructions for arrival were very good and detailed. Windows could be closed and noise from the bar at the ground floor could be eliminated. You need 20-30min to the bus station at the train station, if you want to catch the bus to Mont Saint Malo (reservation by internet), or take the metro from Place Anne. In general, Rennes was a better choice than we thought in the beginning. Go to the Museum of History of Bretagne near the station, it is free and very informative!

The toilet was at the corridor and is small, which is OK, but a little bit inconvenient. Room not recommended for people who cannot carry heavy luggage (no lift). Also, but this is a general problem of Rennes: For trolleys and luggage with wheels, the street pavement is very uneven.

Location was on the fringe of old town, living room space was nice to relax, the owner delivered breakfast to the room at the requested time and was pleasant to talk to. Very warm and cosy!

Kitchen was lacking cooking tools and salt/pepper. Breakfast was basic - baguette and crossoint (marmalade and jam) and juice, some fresh fruit or yoghurt would have been nice.

Everything was great and the room was just as shown in the pictures. The couple who manages the rooms are very nice and helpful and they make the stay even more pleasurable. There's breakfast included in the stay and it is very simple but also very tasteful and more than enough for one person. I stayed in the single occupation attic and it is the perfect size for a person and it is equipped with everything you might need during the stay. I would definitely stay there again if I am ever back in Rennes!

There's nothing wrong with this accommodation, I enjoyed my stay very much.

The breakfast was wonderful and served in my room. It was so much fun. It was an interesting building with many unique features. The hosts were lovely, very kind , generous and friendly. I enjoyed talking with them very much. I would go back without question. I had a great stay. And, the location is excellent.

If you have mobilty problems this is definetly NOT your place due to its structure and design. Apart from that, it is a very curious, tiny and different place to stay in the center of Rennes. Everything was very clean and well mantained. The owner was very nice and the breakfast quite plentiful. I would stay here again.

The room is exceptional, in antique style with ornamented ceiling, a personal library and balcony over the Rue de Monnaie. Right in the middle of old Rennes city centre. The couple owning and running the hotel were so sweet and helpful and full of knowledge about Bretagne. I wish I could have stayed longer.

The host was amazingly accommodating. Helped us get our luggage up and took us to the parking spot. The room was quiet and charming.

Le Quatre is a charming room in the host's apartment. But we were looking for a sign that was difficult to find. Also, the toilet is not connected to the room. It is on the other side of the apartment.

The flat was really charmy and elegant, situated in the center of Rennes, close to restaurants and bars. The owner was very kind and offered a free breakfast in the room. We loved the original parquet flooring, the lovely bedroom with the old fireplace and the pretty bathroom!!! We really had a pleasant stay!
