The hotel is easy to find, with ample free parking. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. The room is rather big and comfy. Wifi worked well (although you need to reconnect after a period of inactivity). The hotel is keen on green and energy saving policies (which means a rather cool room, but you can ask the reception to bring the heat up a notch if necessary :))

You can hear people walking up and downstairs, along the corridor and closing doors. There was also some sewage smell in the bathroom (but this might be due to the old pipes - not a major issue).

Great welcome from Oliver and the kind offer of use of the garage for our motorbikes (also offered to cyclists). The hotel was clean, rooms well-provisioned with a decent shower/bathroom. The location is a little out of town but there is a short walk through a park to get there so it was quite pleasant. Little tabac / market around the corner.

The only challenge was carrying our bags up 2 flights of stairs in motorcycle clothing, but the room was nice with a bit of a view over the rooftops of the surrounding area.

Location good. Easy to walk to and from Saumur. Wine caves close by. Excellent restaurant nearby - by far the best restaurant I dined at on my holiday. Easy parking available.

The hotel closes after breakfast and only reopens at 4pm. Advertised a ‘restaurant’, but not really. Offers a microwave meal in the bar in the early evening.

Proprietor was very helpful on my arrival (I was quite late) and gave me all the insight needed to find my way into the town centre and find a restaurant that would still be open. Hotel was pleasantly sited, not too far from the centre and there is a green cycle path one can follow to the town (although bring a torch, as its not lit if coming back that way after dark). Secure off street parking provided at no extra charge. Good breakfast and they operate a bar in the evening with outside seating, very pleasant.

Bathroom design was a little cramped. Bed was ok, but not super comfortable. Small points I should say.

The staff were friendly and welcoming to our family and dog. They spoke English and Spanish. The buffet breakfast was great value and delicious. The private car park was convenient. We had a comfortable family room with a big double bed and two single beds and a compact bathroom. They had provided a fan which helped cool us on a very hot night. On our arrival they listened to our plans and suggested good places to eat out and visit. There is a 8km shady river walk starting just behind the hotel which was useful for us walking our dog. You can also walk into Saumur in about half an hour past elegant old buildings.

When the hotel bar closed at 9pm there were no other bars nearby for a late night drink.

Perfect stop-over location on the drive down south - secure parking for family car with roof box & bikes. Rare quadruple room perfect for us and our teenage kids. Easy 10 minute traffic-free cycle into town for dinner & walk around Saumur. Friendly helpful hotel concierge who speaks great English!

I had the pleasure of staying for one night and it was perfect. Exceptional attention from the proprietor, facilitated me in securely garaging my motorcycle for the night. Made a booking for me at a local restaurant and really couldn't have done more to make my stay an enjoyable one. The staff were excellent as was the breakfast. The room was clean and very very comfortable. Very quiet and the comfy bed ensured a great night's sleep. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

A very nice hotel and the location for visiting the Loire valley is perfect! The room was fine, clean and the bathroom also clean. I recommend the breakfastlbuffet, makes you ready for a nice day. The man in the reception, Oliver I think his name is, was fantastic giving information about what to see and visit. A big help. He also helped us finding a restaurant.

Warm welcome and room was very good, very clean. Ate in hotel restaurant. They serve Les Bocaux du Bocage, very tasty!

Only issue was the double bed was against a wall and so awkward for getting in and out.

we had nice room, not very big but more than adequate , we were all made welcome including our dog. there was a lovely place to walk the dog just opposite The hotel has good onsite parking but you wont get a wide vehicle through the archway

well we enjoyed our stay so nothing , maybe the bathroom could be bigger but it all worked
