The location was perfect: we could walk a block to the beach wherever we liked, or two blocks into town to check out the local shops and ice cream bars, and ate several times at the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant staff was particularly friendly and the mussels were great. My kids are still talking about what a fun trip it was and how much they liked the hotel itself.

The family room, while practical, has an odd setup. It sleeps two in the main room, and three in the other room which is clearly an add-on to the old stairway. So half the room is taken up by stairs (which lead to nowhere) and the children’s beds were stacked progressively so that they either had to watch their heads, or watch their feet, getting in and out. They thought it was quirky though and slept just fine.

I absolutely love this place, it's so French, the rooms are basic, no kettle, telephone etc but very clean and tidy. The restaurant is very rustic with a great menu. Lovely courtyard and balcony to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. The hotel has no official parking, but this has never been a problem due to the small car park (free) directly in front of the hotel. We've used this hotel several times and will be back again soon.

The hotel is an old grand hotel by the village road central to Wissant and easy access to the beach. It still has a sense of history with old paintings from Wissant artists of 1800s. My favoirite was the large interior terrace to sit out of the wind but in the sun and another side terrace by the stream to eat or just read a book. Very helpful reception and great food for breakfast lunch and dinner.

We had a spacious, lovely and sparkling clean room, excellent communication and service, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The building is gorgeous and beautifully modernised while maintaining the old style charme, and it’s a few minutes walk to the beach and amenities in town. Food (breakfast and dinner) was absolutely delicious. Definitely somewhere we will come back to!

Location is great: a quiet former fishing village. The hotel, set in the heart of the village, exudes rustic charm. The rooms are simply furnished but tastefully decorated. A varied and ample breakfast is available.

The restaurant is usually closed on Wednesday, and we booked dinner at Hotel Normandy. On arrival, we found that our hotel was serving dinner after all, given it was May Day. I wish they'd told us they were going to be open (although Normandy did a great job).

Characterful hotel in a great location. Room was smallish and simple but clean and comfortable. Breakfast also simple but the coffee, bread and croissant were excellent as was the juice from the orange juicer machine. Dinner was also very good with good service despite being very full (Saturday night).

Wi-fi was very, very intermittent.

Fantastic and characterful old French hotel in the centre of the delightful town of Wissant, a short distance away from the magnificent beech. Some rooms are very simple (the hotel is undergoing refurbishment) but had a great time. Superb breakfast

The location was great, close to the beach and all amenities in Wissant. The staff were polite and welcoming. The beautiful decor and ambience conveyed the long history of the building as a seaside hotel, but the facilities were clean, comfortable and of a modern day standard. The owners have managed to create a perfect balance between old and new in the environment. I had breakfast in the hotel which provided an ample variety of food to choose from; the dining room was spacious and calm.

The price on asked for the room on arrival was higher than when I had booked, although this was quickly attended to so that I did not pay any more than expected. The breakfast was slightly more expensive than the price displayed outside the hotel, but I did not mind paying the extra as I enjoyed a lovely breakfast.

Located in the centre of the town and a short walk away from the beach. Good continental breakfast in a pretty dining room. Felt very classic with rooms overlooking the courtyard. Only 15mins from the eurotunnel so was a good one night stopover.

Rooms a little sparse/could have been a bit more comfortable e.g no headboards on the beds. Dusty underneath the beds and stained covers on divan.

The juicer for whole fresh oranges 🍊 was nice - much better than bottled orange juice. My grandchildren loved the weird stacked bunk beds in family room #19.

The bain marie for boiling the eggs 🥚 was inefficient and caused so much wastage as normal cooking times were inadequate, resulting in only partially cooked eggs.
