As always, an excellent stay. The room is large, well equipped and with a very comfortable bed. The request for a room with a fridge for my wife’s medicine was met without difficulty as it has always previously been. The staff at Reception are extremely helpful and welcoming, especially Sami who always looks after us so well. We were very pleased to note that both the service in the restaurant and the choice and quality of food on offer has improved immensely on most recent years. We have been coming to this hotel for many years now, and will certainly return in the future.

The swimming pool and gym area is no longer staffed. This is sometimes a distinct disadvantage.

Holiday Inn Coquelles was a pleasant surprise. Very close to the Eurotunnel but its quiet and countryside setting was unexpected. The facilities are much better than the Holiday Inn UK, staff are helpful and breakfast was good. My friends and I were on a Euro roadtrip and this was our first destination. Concerns over car safety were quickly dispelled. I would certainly come here again.

There is nothing we didnt like. Its a fair way to the centre for dinner but thats obvious when booking. A couple of taxis is all you need.

This was a modern, well maintained (quite new) hotel. It was easy to find and there was sufficient parking available. Inside it had large communal spaces and, whilst it was busy, did not feel overcrowded. The hotel staff at reception and behind the bar were helpful. Food was reasonable although expensive - probably due to the location and convenience for the Eurotunnel, which is very easily accessed from this hotel. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. We travelled with a small dog and the hotel was accommodating and supportive - there were several dogs present.

Our room was on the first floor and the sound insulation between ours and the rooms either side was poor which meant that we were disturbed by people coming and going.

The room was large and comfortable. The facilities - swimming pool, gym, lobby area, restaurant, garden all are nice and my kids really enjoyed it all. Breakfast was decent, the choice between English breakfast and continental. Dinner in the restaurant was quite good and a good option versus what was available outside. I would stay here again if I were nearby.

We were missing fresh vegetables at breakfast. Coffee was better in the room than at the breakfast in the restaurant.

This is a really nice and relaxed hotel. The staff are very accommodating, professional and very friendly, the facilities onsite are perfect, the restaurant/breakfast buffet and bar are also very efficient and well maintained. We were travelling with a small baby who just learned to walk so staying in a hotel that has lots of green areas and is pet friendly meant he was happy to be outside watching dogs and the brood of chickens that roam the green near the hotel. The hotel made sure that everything required for a baby was in our room already or was available in the common areas. We liked it so much that we booked it again for our return trip and we would have no hesitation booking again in the future.

The rooms were spacious, and absolutely spotless. Comfortable beds, very clean bathrooms, great water pressure in the shower, nice toiletries. Complimentary water, coffee, and one soda. But I wouldn't stay again.

I felt we paid a bit too much. We had two rooms, one of which was supposed to be bigger than the other, but they were the same. For one night, we paid just over 400 Euro, which I didn't think the hotel was worth. Also, in the restaurant, we were served by an extremely rude waitress, whose attitude only improved only after we switched from English to French, which, honestly, is ridiculous.

The reception staff were exceptionally pleasant and professional, providing us with a warm and welcoming arrival. Due to a change in our plans, we had to depart during the early hours. The lovely lady at Reception kindly prepared a coffee for us to take away, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Thank you for the outstanding service.

Our experience at the hotel restaurant was somewhat disappointing. The staff were not particularly proactive; we struggled to order a second drink and eventually decided to go to the bar ourselves. While the food was of an adequate standard, it has been better on previous visits. At no point were we asked if our meals were satisfactory, and we also found it difficult to get a member of staff’s attention when we wished to pay. Overall, the service did not meet the standard we have come to expect.

We stayed an emergency night at the Holiday Inn after our car broke down and we missed our ferry back to the UK. We had two very distressed young, disabled children, and thankfully, the Holiday Inn was perfect. We were able to check in quickly with helpful staff, and the children quickly calmed down in our very spacious room. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel the next morning which had something we could all enjoy. We also made use of the pool facilities with the children, to keep them occupied while we waited for our insurance to sort out our repatriation to the UK.

Sadly we had to book in for a second night at the Holiday Inn and our original room wasn't available so we had to move. I appreciate this couldn't be helped but it's worth noting that our second room was much smaller than our original room, but more expensive!

We chose this property as it was close to the channel crossing and it had a swimming pool. The restaurant was fantastic quality food and fairly priced. The bed was very comfortable, we had be travelling round France and stayed in many hotels, and this was first hotel we found that had perfect pillows, not to high or low. The breakfast was equally delicious and they served real croissants and pain au chocolates. You’d think every French hotel would do that but actually majority serve out of the packet long life pastry. Staff are all very friendly and speak perfect English. We will certainly be back next time we are travelling back from France to UK.

Cannot think of anything we didn’t like and we are usually quite critical.

Great location in the countryside with large grounds and very near the Chunnel. The interior was attractive and it was easy for one of our party, who has mobility problems, to get around. She was in a disabled room, which was connected to the room I was in, which made communication easy. Our evening meal was very French and tasty, and the breakfast buffet was also good. The staff were so nice and friendly. We were most entertained by the little flock of chickens in the garden. In all our expectations were pleasantly exceeded.

My only suggestion would be that a pot of brewed coffee would have been nice for breakfast. The coffee machine coffee was rather weak.
