The location is a bit far from the city’s attractions however if you have a car, it’ll be perfect. It’ll only take 10-15 minutes also by Bus.

The hotel is further away from Bamberg, but that's what we liked. The hotel is located in a quiet area, 30 minutes walk into Bamberg through a beautiful wooded park. If you want to drive in, you can get there in a few minutes, but there is also a bus service that stops near the hotel. Free parking is available. The wifi worked well and was fast. Spacious rooms with a warm heater. Staff were welcoming and quick to take care of you. Breakfast was tasty. Bus runs to Bamburg Zob hourly.

Bus line outside of hotel stops running to hotel, but it goes to klinikum, which is about 1-2 km away. With ticket it is possible to get free taxi from klinikum to the hotel.

The staff was great, very helpful and caring. They speak English which is helpful if you don't speak German. The location is great if you're looking for a chilled stay. The town is still close by if you want to take the bus or walk through the park.

If I visit again I'd get an ensuite room for more convenience, but the rooms are otherwise fine.

The people there, the dinner we had, and breakfast was amazing 😊 the rooms are clean, they have their own parking in the back and they are pet friendly! (i even forgot my wallet, and they called me as soon as they found it) I would stay again

With the amazing breakfast spread and the heart dinner from the attached restaurant, this was in a perfect location. Lots of trails nearby and a quick bus to the heart of Bamberg. Meeting the family and learning about this business made it even more special. My highlight is getting tips on how to use the public transport and what to see.

Hotel owners were lovely and really friendly. Breakfast was fantastic. I also had dinner there for the two nights I was based in Bamberg. Dinner food was great and went down well with the Smokey beer, which Bamberg is famous for. Around 30 to 40 minute walk into Bamberg city centre but enjoyable walk which goes through park and follows the river. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Bamberg.

Friendly ladies who run the hotel, nice big breakfast in a beautiful old style room, charming and very quiet atmosphere, comfortable beds, good value for money.

The room was cold when we got there but luckily the heater worked fast.

Great location near the river, quiet like in a village (even sheeps are nearby...) , but not far to the Bamber center. One could even walk there, but I went closer to the old city by car. Very nice owners, good restautant, family atmosphere. And easy to reach from high-ways.

The family team running Burger hof were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, but the evening meal was even better. We loved sitting with a beer in the beer garden and walking through the woods and park into Bamberg. We hope to be back.

It's quite a long walk into Bamberg, lovely in daylight bit not so great at night.
