Great location, clean comfortable room

The staff at the restaurant was awful. Our first night they somehow missed our entree and we spent over an hour waiting to find out that the waitress didn’t even put the order in. One morning, they brought us the wrong order If it weren’t for the wait staff at their restaurant, it would have been close to perfect. Our room was great but the wait staff at the restaurant are in desperate need of training

The location is excellent, no issues whatsoever. The room was very comfortable with the sound of the waterfall with an open window. Situated in the middle of the city, it offered great sightseeing opportunities at ones doorstep. The breakfast was very good and tailored made according to wishes.

The location is optimal for walking to all the sights in Bamberg. The Regnitz River, right outside your window, will lull you to sleep at night. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The breakfast is varied and delicious, with homemade preserves (also available to purchase), and a beautiful view while dining inside or outside on the terrace. The staff is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. They truly go above and beyond in guest service.

Parking is not available on site, but that can’t be helped. It’s part of the reality of an historic, medieval town. The only improvement for the rooms would be fans for guest comfort during the summer months.

The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Their level of service really stood out. The location was great, so close to the town centre but quiet at night. Comfortable bed.

The light poured through our bedroom window in the morning. There was only a flimsy curtain which did nothing. There was no coffee or milk provided, also no fridge.

Very good location near the Altstadt overlooking the mill race. You could open the windows (screened) to catch the cool breeze and hear the rushing water. Breakfast was extra but was reasonably priced and enjoyable. Bathroom was a bit tight due to ceiling angle on the upper floor but not a big deal at all. Would certainly recommend. Nepomuk by the way means bridge tender according to the staff person we asked.

Restaurant was great for breakfast, but I would look elsewhere for dinner.

An iconic small hotel at the confluence of two rivers. The reception is beautifully designed, the bedrooms are comfortable, the restaurant makes great use of the location by maximising river views, the food is carefully prepared and it has a carefully considered selection of draught beers - try the Gänstaller. Great views from the sheltered terrace too. One of my favourite hotels in all of Germany.

There is nothing not to like. Maybe a couple of dark beers could be added - in bottle.

Hotel was full of friendly staff and the location was excellent.

Coffee and tea facilities in the room given the price of accommodation seems like an obvious thing to have, but there was none to be found.

Very clean, friendly staff, very accommodating when we arrived late, helpful with sightseeing options. Having an elevator was a plus! Thanks for everything!

It was very warm in the rooms. We realize that few places have AC. Perhaps a small fan to keep the air moving.

It was a bit hot without air conditioning although it was unusually hot in Germany Breakfast and coffee at adjoining restaurant was not very good

Hotel Nepomuk is in an outstanding location, on the river in the old town. With the windows open, you can hear the river flowing down through the old mill weir. Apart from the river, it is in a quiet location - there's no road or street noise. It's an easy walking distance to lots of interesting restaurants & breweries, but about 2km walk from the train station.
