Tha spa was relaxing. Lovely massage. The bars were good, especially the waiter in the la havanita bar. Breakfast was good

The evening meal in emils restaurant was very disappointing. The coconut and lentil soup was too salty and the service was indifferent. We were surprised by this poor standard as breakfast was very good.

Location was good as were the staff, the hotel was clean and breakfast offered plenty of tasty choices

For a 4 **** the rooms were fairly basic, they have a think green scheme encouraging you to decline daily room cleaning and offer a surprise on hanging a bag outside your room, but after staying 2 nights and hanging the bag as directed the only surprise was that there was no surprise to be had. Also, the toilet paper was better at the public restrooms at the Airport, I would expect more attention to detail when staying at a 4 ****

Lovely big room with very comfortable bed. The Spa facilities were amazing. They had some bikes to rent so we spent a day cycling along the river and exploring the local area which turned out to be very enjoyable. Breakfast was good. Staff generally very helpful.

the immediate area around the hotel is nothing special and it's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the train station to get to the centre of Berlin. Keycards were not the best.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights with the sole intention of relaxing, and that's exactly what we did. The best thing about this place is the spa. We especially loved the whirlpool and sauna section — we relaxed in both for hours. The breakfast was also delicious was a great variety and nice coffee. Everyone who worked at the hotel was so nice and helpful, from the cleaners to the people working during the breakfast service. The bed was very comfortable.

Room design was a bit weird with no overhead lights, only lamps. The room was also a bit on the cold side.

I liked the overall well-roundedness of the hotel. The facility was clean and pleasant, the restaurant was decent, and the staff was helpful and friendly. I was in Berlin for Berlin Marathon and this hotel is NOT very close to the start/finish area (or most touristy area for that matter), but it was nice to see a part of the city where I could have a peek into the everyday life in Berlin.

For some reason, I could not get the TV in the room to work. But I was not concerned at all because watching TV in your room should be the very last thing on your to-do list in Berlin.

Good location - in a peaceful block off the main road, within walking distance of Berlin-Spandau railway station and with a view over a lake. Shops and bars nearby. Clean and spacious room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good - plenty of choice plus the option to eat outside on the terrace. I also enjoyed using the pool. Staff were helpful.

It didn't seem to be possible to adjust the air conditioning. As the temperature outside was ferociously high during my stay, it would've been good to have been able to chill the room down a couple more degrees.

Great staff and the surrounding area was very nice with the lake right behind the hotel.

It seems that there is a near by hospital or fire department because there seemed to be a constant noise of fire truck and ambulances driving by for emergencies. Normally I would just close my window that faced the inner court area but the room had no temperature control so I needed to keep the window open to keep cool. The noise of emergency vehicles are not the fault of the hotel but it is something to be aware of.

the staff were so helpful. English is remarkable. Food is brilliant (croissants bread cereal sausages fruit fish cheese hams, the whole lot!) the hotel is so clean also and really lovely decor. I left my phone in a taxi and the hotel were able to track down the driver and arrange for it to be returned! I also asked for balloons and a card to be put in the room for boyfriends birthday and this was no bother. the bar is also fab and very cosy

just the location. you have to get a cab to the train station everyday to go anywhere but it’s quiet at night and very authentic so can’t complain about the location

The location was great, easy access to the city while also being in a scenic spot, the gym was nicely equipped and the pool was nice (would have liked a hot tub to warm up)

It's probably just a German style of double bed where there are two very small mattresses rather than one large one. I would have liked more power sockets near the bed and the television in one of our rooms was the size of a laptop screen (312).
