This is budget accommodation so don't expect five star luxury. I wanted somewhere in this area which was clean and comfortable, a place to sleep, shower and not spend much time in so it was ideal. The room was large, with a double bed, a sofa, table and chairs, a wardrobe, storage drawers and enough sockets. The shower was very good. There is no air conditioning which might be an issue for some especially in the heat of summer. The bed was comfortable and clean and my stay was enjoyable.

There were no staff visibly present during my entire stay other than at check in. Despite notifying them of my arrival time I had to phone someone on arrival and wait for them to come to the hotel to check me in and give me my room key.

It's very simple, straight forward place - nothing fancy, just the basics. Beds were okay, bathroom was clean, internet connection stable and receptionist nice. Location is also good, there's a metro station, railway stop and multiple bus stops nearby.

No major negatives, just the fact that it's fairly spartan accommodation. Probably not the ideal place to take your girl on honeymoon, but just fine if you're visiting the city with bunch of friends. Considering I was there to do the latter and spent most of the time outside anyway, it was completely satisfactory.

The hotel was in a lovely area. It was clean. The staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our needs.

There was no elevator and no one to help with luggage. We were on the 1st floor and managed but if we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor we would have left. The fact that there's no one at reception in throughout the day was not helpful. There was a number to call but it went to voice mail and the nessage was only in German. Area where reception is, is a little tacky not a good first impression.

Lovely old building few minutes from train. Variety of food places around and shops if you like the big names. Lovely hot water. Comfy beds. Overlooked courtyard. Quiet. NOTE: when booking just check you are getting 2 single beds if that’s your need. Info in hotel notes may say double or 2 singles. Booking.com you may be choosing twin but not always true. Hotel kindly swapped us a double for 2 singles. Appreciated.

Great location with excellent transport links from the airport and all over Berlin. Great choice of restaurants of all kinds close by. Very safe area to walk around. Close to the main shopping street if that’s your thing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent budget choice for those only needing a clean, comfortable bed and decent shower.

The only downside was the lack of a lift!

Location - in Charlottenburg, a pretty Berlin locality, and close to an S-Bahn (public transit) station. Sufficient room size. Ensuite bathroom (with shower). Strong WiFi. Nice view from the window. A TV set.

Sound insulation poor - occasionally, loud conversations occur and carry through walls. Lack of an elevator - a problem for people with walking difficulties (the storeys are high).

The hotel must have been grand in it's heydays, but there was plenty left of it's charms still. A fabulous location primarily. Large room with high ceilings, a small but beatifully functional bathroom en suite. Very good bed. Nice light fixtures, a writing desk, a small table. Great WiFi and very quiet. I loved it and will happily stay there again.

If there had been a small fridge it would have been perfect.

Room was a good size. The room was cleaned and made up every day. Hotel was close to restaurants and transportation

No lift and the stairs were a bit treacherous. I walk with a cane and have to use a handrail. The steps narrowed where the handrail was so it felt treacherous to me.

The location was spectacular. Beautiful neighborhood, all the top designer stores are right there. Cute little restaurants all over, very easy access to subway and bus

Beware that you will need to climb up 4 flights of steep stairs, no elevator. We got there at 1:20 pm and there was no way to access the hotel because the receptionist was on her lunch break. Which is fine, but it would be useful to know beforehand, so as not to stand on the street with your luggage, trying to figure out how to enter (especially after a long transatlantic flight). The floor is EXTREMELY creaky. I know it's an old building, but it is ridiculously noisy. Light sleepers will have trouble if sharing with a roommate. We were in room 30, I don't know if all the rooms have the same problem.

This hotel has a perfect location to walk to restaurants, cafés and upscale shopping. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! Check in and check out were both quick and easy.

The breakfast restaurant was not open during our stay, but with the proximity to several cafés, this was not an issue.
