Great breakfast, soft bed, blackout curtains, excellent location (a few minutes to all the sights/activities in Cochem, but across the bridge from the loud touristy centre), rather quiet, free parking (you get a parking receipt to place in your car and be able to park along the river for free), very spacious room, a fan in the room, a very large mirror + makeup mirror in the bathroom.
There was a strong chlorine smell in our room. Our bathroom had a broken shower door and the shower drain was rather clogged. Breakfast is served very late (from 8 am), making it difficult to be on time for local attractions. Squeaky floors (we heard every movement of our neighbours above). There is no kettle and no fridge in the room, and the hairdryer is very weak (it takes forever even for shoulder-length hair). You have to have a very good driving skill to be able to navigate the supertight streets to park the car for a few minutes while you bring back the park receipt to the reception.

Great location on the other side of the river from the main town - its a 2/3 minute, very scenic walk across the bridge to the main centre. Hotel is comfortable with welcoming staff. the room was a good size with a nice balcony. The trust-based mini-bar is a great idea and the breakfast was superb. Bonus points from me - i was travelling by motorcycle and they saved me a space in the lockable garage for the bike - thank you!
not much to dislike. If its a European heatwave then the hotel doesn't have air-con - but few hotels in the region do. We were comfortable with the balcony door open and got a good nights sleep.

Well located just over the bridge from the centre. The breakfast is very very good quality and the breakfast room is the relaxing space. The hotel offers also good free parking option.
The interior represents well maintained time capsule from the nineties - meaning it is tired and lacks modern comfort features and some original are broken, repaired and broken again. The staff however does excellent job keeping the facilities perfectly clean. If your car is electric you should walk ~15min and charge at the suspiciously lonely train station parking lot.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Hotel Zehnthof. We stayed for 5 nights. Sandor, part of the family who owns Hotel Zehnthof (and his wife) were amazing hosts. He carried our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. They both prepared a very enjoyable breakfast every morning. The breakfast was wonderful, and included eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh meats and cheeses, fresh rolls and bread. I enjoy yogurt and granola and fruit (in one bowl) as part of my breakfast - they had all 3 and more. Fresh Coffee carafe at every table. The breakfast room is a nice cozy small family type eating area. There is a separate room for overflow, or if someone desires more privacy. The Room was amazing. We had a balcony, with chairs, and from the balcony we had views of Cochem Castle (Reichsburg Castle). In addition, we could see across the river into the town of Cochem, and to the Bridge over the Mosel. The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean, plenty of blankets. Clean bathroom. Housekeeping staff were so friendly. Sandor gave us recommendations on Restaurants. One of which, La Baia, had better pizza than any pizza that we had during 2 weeks in Italy. This is not a joke. It truly was amazing. So good, that we went back another night. Many visitors are power walkers, and can walk for miles every day. We are a bit more cautious, possibly due to our age, almost 70. A tip for others, who may not wish to walk many miles every day: There are local buses - most of them start with 7##. The 703 bus stops next to Da Vinci Restaurant (which is less than 5 minute walk from the hotel front door). The 703 next two stops are (a) Endertplatz - the Bus station, which is a 2 minute walk to Cochem Old Town area. (b) the second stop is Cochem Mosel (the Train Station). We highly recommend the Hotel Zehhthof.

The breakfast is amazing, so many options and very delicious. There is parking for free for the hotel guests. The parking spots though are few
The breakfast for the hotel is in a room that its also a coffee place, managed by the owners. So when we went downstairs for breakfast, the coffee place was literally full, very crowded, and we couldn't find a spot to have breakfast. it's kind of frustrating when you have paid for a room and for breakfast to come downstairs and not find a place to sit. In the end it was fine cause the owner came and gave us a spot in the next door room

Great location for this very clean, cozy, renovated, and well looked after hotel. Family run with a tasty breakfast, comfortable beds and very modern bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The staff obviously take pride in their establishment. We would definitely stay here again.
It’s all about your expectations, isn’t it? No, there is no elevator, which for the fourth floor rooms is a pain, but we don’t expect an elevator in a small and older hotel in Europe. And we did not ask at booking. We travel light with just carry-on bags and took our time walking the stairs. No, there is no air conditioning on the fourth floor (unsure about elsewhere) but honestly, we did not expect such hot weather in September, and what you going to do about the weather anyway? So also not an issue. Loved our little balcony with the view across the river to the castle.

Breakfast was great and even had a view of the Mosel River. We stayed in an offsite apartment that was very roomy and looked newly renovated everything was new. The small patio had a view of the castle across the river. It should be noted that all the restaurants are located across the river a short drive over a bridge . its a great location would stay again.
We arrived in the evening and finding our apartment, just a few blocks from main hotel, a bit of a challenge. . It was dark and the streets are small and one way. But we finally found it.

Excellent stay on day one of our motorcycle tour. Check in was fast ,friendly and efficient. secure indoor parking was provided also.Hotel was spotless and bed comfortable. Ample choice at breakfast. Location was just across the bridge from the main town and a couple of restaurants within 1 minute walk. Would 100% stay here agiain.
AC would have been good as we were in the middle of a heatwave in the area. A good fan was provided which did help a bit.

The service and hospitality were topnotch. We felt like were welcomed into the host’s home. All our needs were taken care of—and we traveled with a whole family with 2 kids (1 and 4 years old) and a senior citizen, so that’s saying a lot. The breakfast buffet was also great—good selection and filling. I’d recommend booking the room with the balcony view of the Reichsburg.
Not that we didn’t like it, but it’s just something to note that the building has no lift. They were, in any case, very accommodating about our prams and helped with our bags. If climbing the stairs is an issue, request for a lower floor as we did.

Quiet location but in with the other hotels on the far side of the bridge. Town is an easy amble over the bridge which puts you in the heart of town. Check in was fast & staff ready for us and easy going. If your a motorcyclist you can pre arrange a place in the garage which we loved. Very nice large room with modern bathroom. An honesty fridge if you fancy a drink which is a nice touch. Breakfast was varied & plentiful with good quality food & plenty of coffee. Definitely something for all tastes. All in all a great place.
Nothing.
