The hotel is situated across the central railway station in Dresden (Dresden Hbf). It is an excellent location because, with the help of public transport, you can reach every important place in the city and the region. If you are a member of IcH, you will get fast-speed Wi-Fi for all your devices and a free city ticket for public transport. The reception is open 24/7, and they are very helpful. The room is very spacious. You have a working desk and a line of closets. The bathroom is excellent; you have everything that you need there. The buffet breakfast is excellent and can prepare you for the day. Huge variety of food. From sweet to salty breakfast. Everyone can find their own food. Overall, the hotel is excellent.

Loved the location for convenience, just opposite the main railway station, so we could get our luggage to our room and check-in on arrival in Dresden. We had one breakfast at the hotel the following morning, but opted to have our next two breakfasts in the town centre at the delightful Viennese Bakery just around the corner from the Albertinum. The room on the first floor was comfortable and quiet with a pleasant outlook across a roof garden of wild grasses. TV was provided, as well as interesting local newspapers.

There was a nice ensuite shower room but on our first evening the toilet wouldn’t flush, so we called in help at reception. The manager came at once and did some work, offering to relocate us to another room if the problem could not be solved. It was solved the same evening. Thanks! Building sites made getting from the hotel to the town centre by tram a bit complicated, but this wasn’t the hotel’s fault and we managed.

Directly opposite Dresden Hbf. and a 2 min. walk to the main shopping area in Pragerstrasse. 15 min walk to the old town or even quicker by one of the frequent and modern trams which stop almost outside the hotel. If you join the hotel's loyalty programme (free) you get a free local transport ticket.

Nothing that the hotel could control. Like the area around all major railway stations there were numerous drunks/homeless people hanging about. They didn't appear threatening but the broken glass and fresh blood on the pavement a few yards from the hotel door was concerning, particularly as it hadn't been cleaned up after 3 days. My wife said that she wouldn't feel safe outside, alone, after dark.

For anyone travelling by train, the location could hardly be bettered: it’s directly across the road from the main station. The downside of that is that it is a 20 minute walk through a pedestrian precinct to Dresden’s Altstadt. The hotel as a whole is bright and modern, clean and well equipped and our room, although fairly compact, was the same. Breakfast was efficient and varied, with good quality food and drink, in a bright and cheerful dining room.

The hotel is quite plain and business-like, which might not suit everyone. It has a small bar, which we didn’t use, but the restaurant was not open at the time we stayed. The location, near the station, could be said to be a little bit bleak and there were a couple of instances of noisy people around, though we never felt directly threatened. A

The staff have been super nice to us , they gave us 3 daily train pass , saved us so much money and convenient. They also helped us to call booking for changing our stays in Italy due to the National stiles for public transportation and air strike in next month ( September, 2025) . The room is nice and they have provided toiletries very good , the most amazing location is next to a big mall and a cross from Dresden main train station which have made our trip to Dresden very pleasant. Very modern property, room was clean and pretty comfortable. Bed was a little firm for our liking, but slept okay. Front desk staff are very nice, helpful, responsive. I joined the InterCity hotel rewards program which provided immediate benefits, free public transportation for our stay, 25% discount on breakfast (normally $21), and some discount on future stays. Very close to main train station, less than 10 minute walk with luggage. Really enjoyed this hotel.

I occupied a business room, so I guess it was slightly bigger than normal rooms. It was clean, quiet, and comfy. Most staff were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful, but others (very few) were not. I loved the breakfast. The location is fantastic, although the area around the main station is rough. It was the perfect place for me.

The cleaning schedule did not always work as it should have given my stay there for several weeks. But in the end we managed.

It's an excellent hotel for getting around Dresden quickly. Right in front of the rail station, it is not noisy and it allows you to quickly jump on a train in a few minutes. It is also well connected to the tram network and there are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is quite complete.

Hard to find something worth mentioning. Personally speaking, I found the pillows were too thick.

Very close to main train station and buses (&FlixBus) Checking in process was quick and a 5Euro hotel voucher was offered if room service was wavered. That got us a cup of coffee Staff/Customer service was very good. The elevators were big and quick. We had a double room and it was small but not tiny. There were a couple of chairs and small table which was very good. Bar Refrigerator with no mini bar. It was big enough for @ 10 bottles of drink. No Kettle - which we would liked to have had. No plates, side plates, or Utensils No Microwave. Television was very good, but only BBC English Channel. Rest were local language. Air conditioning was good. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were really soft. Wardrobe space was adequate The Shower water pressure was very good and didn’t run out of hot water. Water Temperature was constant. Towels were soft and fresh WiFi was strong The room was very quiet and the drapes blocked out the daylight. A value for money hotel.

Another couple of pillows of different firmness would be good. Kettle would be really handy.

Good location for those needing to be close to the central station. Plenty of food and restaurant options nearby. Having arrived on a Sunday everything was closed except..the station. It had everything you could possibly need including a Lidl grocery store that was open for business and BUSY! Made it so much easier. The SUPER friendly and helpful staff made up for the bare minimum essentials provided by the hotel. Everyone at reception went out of their way to answer our questions and give suggestions and spoke English which was extremely helpful. We brought our own food and ate in so we needed utensils and napkins which were readily provided. We arrived in the morning (too early for check in) so they gladly stored our luggage. After seeing some sights, we arrived back at 2:00 pm which they then allowed us check in an hour early Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance of the hotel which is partially why we chose it.

Our room was SUPER close, closer than expected to the station so we heard the teams for the greater part of the night in addition to some skateboarders who use the area out in front of the hotel to film their stunts😂 Beds (2-twins) were hard and stiff as boards and the pillows were flat, lifeless pancakes! There wasn’t any other amenities like a kettle, coffee, tea, shampoo, etc. which maybe I should’ve read the fine print closer and would’ve discovered that.
