On arrival we found we’d been upgraded to the apartment which we were very grateful for as little one had her own space to sleep. All the staff were so welcoming and attentive. The swimming pool and sauna were fantastic after a long journey & we had them all to ourselves! The pizza & curry from the place up the road were fab & the breakfast was super! Would highly recommend for a stopover when travelling through Germany.

The apartment was probably a little outdated & overfilled with ornaments etc. (a nightmare for cleaning!) But we found it charming & had everything we could have asked for (& more!) for a one night stay!

Firstly I'd say the hotel is easily accessible by public transport. There likely is more stops you can use but the 2 stops we used to get to and from the hotel was Duisburg Schlenk or there is Duisburg Kulturstrase. Schlenk is about a 10-15 minute walk to get the S1 S-Bahn whereas Kulturstrase is about a 5 minute walk to get the U79 U-Bahn. Both are quick to get into the Hbf (main station). I'd say the room is pretty standard - we requested the one with 2 single beds which they were fine with (I believe there are 2 rooms with 2 single beds so you should request that when making a booking if required). Comes equipped with a nice tv, bathroom has a decent shower, toilet, mirror setup, etc - all stuff you'd expect. Bed is nothing special but does the job. Overall its an average room with no complaints. Staff were excellent, really pleasant and helpful. Especially with the late check-in. Since we were going to arrive after 10pm we required an late check-in. Ideally you would arrive before but they do have a solution if you were to arrive late, provided you request it via the booking.com messaging service or by emailing them. I recommend doing both if possible just to make sure. The breakfast which came for free with the room is very decent. Selections of cheeses and cold meats as you'd expect with the continental style. There is an option to get a boiled egg too. Then of course your selection of pastries, drinks, etc. Overall a very decent stay and a good basecamp for the Euros football championship.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly, especially Norbit, he went out of his way to help and guide us with trains and transport etc. . . The swimming pool was GREAT!! The room was neat and bedding comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, good coffee! They owners suggested us to take a bike ride to the 6 seas, it was a wonderful suggestion!

Location is lovely & peaceful, but a bit unknown when coming from Düsseldorf, officials couldn't help with correct trains etc, that's why Norbit was such a great help, so rather ask hotel directly when planing to come. A Bar fridge in room would make room perfect.👌🏼 Breakfast nice and fresh, could maybe give more options, like fried eggs, bacon, omelet. . .etc. But don't get me wrong, breakfast was very nice! Just tips for the owners.

Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. It is all you need for a comfortable sleep and good morning start. The cleaning service does a great daily work, everything is pristine.

The wardrobe had only 3 clothes hangers and no shelves. I ended up placing my folded clothes on the desk and the night table. The WiFi was very slow. I don't really need much internet, but when I have to check some email at night, well it was quite annoying to deal with such a slow internet.

The breakfast was a really great way to start every day! The meats were always different and all really good. The staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate in any way possible to ensure a top notch stay. It was literally an 8 minute walk to the train platform. Water was hot and good pressure for a nice shower.

The wifi could have been a bit faster but honestly I wasn't in my room very often. Late at night I was able to get a quick enough connection to do everything I needed at the important time.

Great hotel very well situated Room was very clean and warm with Aircon if required Excellent breakfast with everything you could wish for in a German breakfast all fresh and tasty The lady serving breakfast was very friendly and the gentleman on reception when we checked in was wonderful, extremely friendly and with a great sense of humour. Highly recommended hotel 👍

Nothing to fault

The friendly staff, the cleaningness, and the breakfasts. Location was great in regards to the nearby to my event.

Bit reduced parking availability. I was lucky I found the last place when I arrived because there is no guarantee or parking place. The room was a bit small with single bed but it was OK for the price. To reach the room , one should go last storage by foot cause the elevator does not reach the last level. For a young person is not a problem.

Excellent art in the hotel interior, superb breakfast, comfy room, all very clean. Tee and coffee in the room, working air conditioner, modern bathroom.

I spent three nights listening to the snoring of my neighbour through the thin wall. Wi-fi quality is bad. Mixed impressions about the staff (or whoever was sometimes available at the reception): one woman was extremely nice and friendly, the other irritable and „genervt“, maybe just a bad day, no idea.

Incredibly clean, and staff very friendly. Loved that it was a small independent. Slippers a nice touch. The breakfast was terrific. Great access off the main route to Essen and central Germany where we were headed. Also noticed it’s proximity to the airport.

It was very hot but that wasn’t their fault, I skimped on the money for an air conditioned room. If it’s hot spend the extra money!

We stayed for few days here and didn't expect a lot from small hotel. Surprisedly for us we met very friendly and hospitable administration, they always asking if everything is okay. The hotel provide breakfasts, but if you decided to spend your talk on the terrace (they have a little, but in such calm place) at midday and they will see you there, they absolutely suggest you to drink some coffee or tea. The hotel has a medium swimming pool where you can spend your evening and most of all you will be there along, because not a lot people are there. The rooms are tiny, but the design and stuff is practical, together they make room cozy and beautiful.
