Very wary when I reached, having read the poor reviews only after I had booked, I was pleasantly surprised. Self check in was smooth. Room was clean. Hot water on tap. Towels provided. Heaters working. Comfortable duvets. Soft bed. Complimentary water bottle every day. Yes, walls were thin and you could hear your neighbours, but it's a budget hotel. With my erratic timings, only saw the receptionist on my last day. She was a cheerful lady who, since I was busy at the Messe, assured me I could check out nearly 3 hours later than specified, and at no extra charge! Given the proximity to HBF, and all its other comforts, I'm going to be staying here again and again. Maybe I was lucky or whatever, but it couldn't have got better than this.

Dark carpets, so need to be cleaned better and more regularly. A few more hangers in the closet, and sturdier ones please. The charging sockets were near the foot of my bed- very inconvenient. Also maybe a better seating layout, without barstools and more space, in the reception area needed? People do have to wait while checking in and after checking out - just provide a more comfortable waiting experience.

The hotel is very close to the HBF. It is situated next to both a train, tram and bus station. 24/7 hot water and heating. A kettle is provided at the reception lobby and the room space (we got a quad room) was very generous. We stayed 4 days and we got new towels in the morning of the 3rd.

The bathroom door couldn't close properly without the use of force (noisy at night). The room in general had hair and heavy dust in the corners. The TV wasn't working after the first night for some reason.

Good value for the money

Receptionist. She was on the phone and when she said first floor I expected it to be on the same floor as a reception area but she fixed me in not friendly voice ton that the first first is higher and the one we were was ground floor. Could be friendlier.

Great room, clean bathroom, great bed.

When checking in, the young lady behind the desk asked me if I was vaccinated or tested, I said "is none of your business". She even asked me if I was willing to take a Covid-test that day or the following day, to which I said "no way". I said "I am healthy yet don't have to prove to you or anybody else that I am". Then she phoned her boss, and nothing came of her propositions. Maybe this hotel gets commision for guests taking a test with some company, or they follow some stupid rules by the German government, either way there was nothing in small print about this matter in this hotel's regulations, otherwise I would have avoided this hotel like the flying plague....

The room was cozy, very nice bathroom, fresh air, there were also cabinets and closets so that was great and very happy about the nice kettle in the room, nice and comfy chair, good mirror in the room also and very good that they have also microwave and fridge

It was a bit difficult that there is no lift and lots of staircase but we had our room on the ground floor so that was okay

This place was a value for money. The room was good for a lone traveller & bathroom was clean. If someone is looking for a place to stay for an affordable price then it is worth it. The place was just 5 minutes walk from Dusseldorf Zoo S-Bahn station which was very convenient.

There was nothing really to dislike about this. What you see is what you get !!

For the price I payed, the hotel represented very good value for money with a spacious room + open courtyard, the hotel were happy to answer questions over whatsapp, everything I would require from a room for 1 night was available. Local bar 2 minute walk selling local German beer and open untill 1am was an added plus.

The bunk beds were squeaky.

We were impressed by the great price and location of the hotel. Due to having many suitcases, we asked the receptionist to change our room from the first floor. She was very friendly and we were happy to be assigned a room that was conveniently located near the entrance.

There was no coffee shop nearby, but the station was so close, so we could move everywhere in Dusseldorf easily.

The room was absolutely fine. Everything was good. The bed is comfy, the facilities are fine.

The area was a bit suspicious. In the evening was very dark, not enough light around the area, so I didn't really feel safe while walking back to the hotel.

I liked the proximity of the location to the metro, cleaning of the bathroom and room.

Since I did not have internet, I missed the informative message from booking. Since we communicated via WhatsApp, it would have been better for him to send a message via WhatsApp.
