Erding is a nice suburb and this hotel was a good balance of convenience and charm. The 50 minute Sbahn ride to Munich Marienplatz starts just an 8 minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant was popular, had good food, live music, and of course Erdinger Weissbier. Staff was friendly and accomadating. We arrived about 9AM in the morning and they were able to let us into our room right away. When we checked out they arranged a taxi. Room was clean, comfortable, and featured church bells on the hour from next door. Be sure to experience a spa day at Therme Erding which is a short uber ride away, especially excellent for Oktoberfest recovery day.

Hotel is in a historic building in the center of town. It used to be a brewery. The town is not large, so it is a short walk to everything. There are numerous shops and restaurants nearby. The onsite restaurant is quite good, serving traditional German food. The breakfast was continental, with meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, and yogurt. Scrambled eggs and bacon were available as well. Room was fairly standard, but very clean and comfortable.

The room was quite warm. It was winter, but no matter what we set the thermostat to the room was very warm. A couple of times we just opened the window to cool it down. Also, there are a few lamps in the room, but they are not that bright. So, after dark the room will be on the dim side.

Great food, great location, spacious rooms. Breakfast is absolutely lovely. Staff is very accommodating and committed to their guests having a perfect stay. Security is outstanding. Parking garage below for a small fee is a huge convenience. Great value for the price.

Mattresses are quite firm (for Americans). There’s no AC which is common in Europe, but rooms can get quite warm during hot weather. Just be prepared. Windows open which helps but it’s next to the church with lots of bells. Doesn’t take away from the stay.

Great location. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection of great food. Dinner you can enjoy outside watching people walk by in the center of Erding.

It wasn't easy to find the parking that day because they had there City Festival and lots of roads were closed. I wish the hotel would let us know upfront and sent us instructions how to get to the back entrance of the hotel. It was a very hot weekend and our rooms were on the top floor. We could hardly sleep with no air conditioning in the room.

We used it as a stopover to an early flight out of Munich airport. The location was very good for that. The room was very spacious and the bed was big and comfortable. The restaurant in the same building has a very lovely outdoor seating and plenty of local specialties and beer to choose from. But be ready to constantly fight off wasps and flies as in most German beergardens in the summer.

The room we had was overlooking a small courtyard between a tall church and another tall building so it didn't get too much light and the lighting in the room was not very good to feel cozy during daytime, for example for relaxing and reading.

Clean, well appointed, very helpful and courteous staff. It was at a good place in town, and close to the airport for our departure the next day.

It didn’t have real air conditioning, and the “Air circulation system” was not user friendly at all. However the staff did come up and help us get it figured out. During this trip, we stayed at 4 hotels in 10 days. This was the only one that didn’t include breakfast in the cost of the room. They wanted €12 per person for that.

The catering of Haribo and Erdinger drink was really a pleasant delight. The room is clean and spacious with air conditioning temperature and moisture, which is really cozy in the summer days. The cuisine in the restaurant was really delicious. The location was great, yet the room stayed quite quiet from the busy streets. Most sincere and dear of this hotel is that, it’s announced that the check-in hour is since 14:00, and we entered our room even earlier, at 13:00! Really gratitude! We‘d love to come back again and again.

The illumination in the major room was mostly from the reflection of the lamps, and our floor lamp was out of order, flickering all the time. The reception counter personnel had limited language communication ability, yet was friendly. It was also nice that the hotel offered job opportunities to the foreign immigrants.

The location for walking around the old town and along the river path was perfect. The breakfast spread was very impressive and high quality.

The parking is tricky being in the middle of town, but they do have some spots in an underground garage for extra money per night. The lighting is strangely poor, which we noted at our previous Erding hotel. We had to use the bathroom light to take our travel document photos. Also, the room was quite warm but we were able to get the air system down to a good sleeping temperature.

We wanted someone to stay close to the airport and it’s safe to say Erding is a hidden gem perfect for this! You should definitely consider visiting this cute town. The hotel is approx 18 minutes drive from the airport. We caught the local bus which cost a couple euros and was super easy to navigate. It took about 35 minutes. There are plenty of bus stops within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is comfortable, clean and quiet. The room included 2 drinks vouchers for the resturant and multiple beverages in the mini bar which were complimentary. The staff were accommodating and friendly and the resturant has a wide variety of delicious options. Highly recommend.

Nothing we didn’t like

Great room, comfy bed, and great bathroom. The size of the room and bathroom was very spacious. Loved the olden Bavarian style and vibe of the hotel. The meal we had at the restaurant was one of our best while travelling through Europe. The pork knuckle and Snitzel was amazing!

Everything was perfect. It was not a problem for us, but would note there was very minimal lighting in the room itself. If the room was bright, it wouldn’t really go with the style of the hotel.
