Excellent location for easy access to the altstadt, tourist areas, even a grocery store nearby. Everything, literally, everything I needed or wanted was in easy walking-distance!

Better directions for parking. It was a bit of a shock to be driving a rental car in a foreign country and find myself in the fussganger zone. I ended up parking in a city parking lot but it was also close and convenient and just a little more than I would have paid at the hotel.

Excellent location opposite the Freiburg HBf station. Restaurants, bars, and shopping just around the corner. Clean and modern comforts.. Freiburg has a lovely mixture of traditional German buildings with modern architecture.

Just like most modern hotel rooms, I find the lighting inadequate. I was surprised to discover that the my room didn't have a safe for my passport and important documents.

Booked for a nights stay in Freiberg. Hotel was 10-15mins walk from the town center, so in a great location. Room was spacious and had everything one would expect from Novotel. As we came with 3 motorcycles, the Novotel team were helpful in sorting us with parking in their "private" parking area. The area has shutters, so we had peace of mind leaving our bikes there. We didnt select breakfast as part of our stay as we decided to eat in the city.

The hotel is attached to the concert hall, giving it the appearance of a conference or convention centre. There is a large plaza out front where you can park and check in and the desk staff can direct you to the slightly tricky parking garage entrance. Our dog was happy to have her own bed and a water bowl large enough for her to swim in. Our bed was exquisitely comfortable. The area is filled with restaurants and the city centre is a fairly easy walk.

The room could have used a fan as it was so very hot and the AC on energy-saving settings.

There is a large place in front of the hotel. It's easy to park the car for ten minutes to take off the luggage and check in. Then as instructed by the staff, we drove the car to the area of the underground garage which belongs to the hotel. The hotel is new and has many rooms. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the city center. There is a very Chinese restaurant by walking 10 minutes. Breakfast is good. The room is comfortable.

Excellent location in the city centre very close to transport connections and Freiburg Old Town. Very competent hotel reception staff and friendly and obliging bar staff. Cleanliness of room was very good. Easy to walk to and from, close to shops, cafes and bars/restaurants. Room had television and mini bar and drinks and food could be bought from machines in the hotel lobby out of hours. The breakfasts, which I had twice, can either be paid for the whole duration of your stay or on an individual basis. The breakfast costs nearly 25 Euro, but offers possibly the best selection I have ever encountered in any hotel and the quality is excellent. During my stay on the third floor, I found the hotel pleasingly quiet at night. Rooms were warm and clean and serviced daily.

It may have just been me, but I couldn't work out how to turn the bedside light on/off at night when the main light switch was turned off. Maybe I was just tired.

This hotel was amazing! We loved everything, the staff, the cleanliness, the lobby, the size of the rooms, the facilities, the pool. Some things you can't put your finger on how it makes you feel. The lobby in this hotel makes you feel so comfortable. It has sets of tub chairs, which are really comfortable, they spin around and almost hug you, they are so conducive to chatting and relaxing. It has a kids area where you feel like the kids are actively encouraged to play and draw without being an annoyance, the whole hotel seem vert accepting of kids. I could go on and on, but the cleanliness is off the scale, the service warm, friendly and helpful, the breakfast had everything you could ever want. The pancake machine was my daughter’s favourite, she was fascinated by it. We had the pool to ourselves, it is just the perfect size and temperature. There are towels supplied. This hotel just makes it easy to transition between floors, common areas, the pool and the rooms. You always feel very comfortable and at ease.

The only small thing I would change, but it didn't bother us, was that there were no power points by the bed. But because the hotel was so amazing in every other aspect, this was so insignificant

Staff are not very friendly. Took me a while to check in as the communication between the staff was not clear. My son went outside to observe a demonstration and when he re-entered the hotel the receptionist shouted at him and asked him where he’s going.

Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable facilities. Spa area also available and nice. Great Parking space too, secure and at a very good daily rate for residents. We will definitely return

No safe in the rooms which is inconvenience if you are worried about your laptops or belongings while you are out during the day.

Good breakfast, clean rooms, proximity to station and shops. Given adjoining rooms as per request. Children given a treat upon arrival while we completed the check-in process.

The parking garage was not tall enough for our car with roofbox. Reception helped find an alternative (main station) but this also had a height restriction (tall enough) but was stressful. The pool was out of action for our stay. This was very disappointing as it was the primary reason we chose this hotel rather than a budget option. Breakfast delicious, despite me putting porridge on my toast, thinking it was a funny looking scrambled egg! Labelling could have helped.
