We went on a road trip through Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, and stayed at Stadthotel Freilassing for just one night. Breakfast was very nice, parking was conveniently located around the corner, and the rooms were comfortable. Since we stayed longer in Salzburg than planned, the receptionist kindly called to remind us about the 21:00 check-in deadline — which we really appreciated. They also noticed we were traveling with our 3-year-old and thoughtfully prepared a crib without us even asking. Wonderful service!

The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was good and the staff always made sure that nothing is empty The Rooms were cozy, silent and comfortable. The place is away from the Salzburg city noise. But at the same time, you can easily get the trains which goes to the city (7-10mins ride). The parking dedicated to the hotel is small, but the market has plenty of parking and you can always find a place. Especially on weekends. There is a small farmers market in front of the hotel on Saturday. We found it really nice.

The elevator is small and can accommodate max 2 person.

Right in city center, plenty of stores and a supermarket nearby, really quiet (pedestrian street). Free private parking nearby and we could find a spot there. Also very close to train station. Spacious and clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of plugs (one on each side of the bed).

The shower was leaking a tiny bit of water, likely because the doors didn't close tightly enough.

We didn’t realise there was no AC, for a summer stay, it was very warm, luckily during our stay the weather was very cool You can leave the windows open but very noisy due to airplanes flying overhead and room facing the streets

Centrally located and close to restaurants and cafes. There is a few supermarkets within walking distance. My room was very quiet, the wifi was good, the water pressure was strong with plenty of hot water. Several parking spots a short walk away. The value was good.

There wasn't much not to like. One would have to be picky to find many faults here. Granted the rooms were basic but the value for the price point is there.

Nice hotel in the centre of Freilassing. Perfect hotel for visiting Salzburg. Both, the train station and the bus stop are only 5 mins of walking distance from the hotel. The lady at the reception was super nice and helpful. The bed was really comfortable.

Stronger lights could be good in the room. Since I didn’t spend too much time there, it was not a big problem.

The location is very close to the nearest station (just about 15min. by S-Bahn from Salzbrug Hbf) and was very quiet rather than Salzbrug downtown. There were some casual restaurants to enjoy dinner. The hotel room was clean. The breakfast was nice and cheaper than the average price of others (+8Euro). Of course, if you wish to enjoy the nightlife in big city, obviously this place is not right place. But, for me, it was not problem. I could be relaxed staying here.

The downside was that the station nearby the hotel is a big rail yard because of the first Germany side station face to Austria. Therefore, if you take train from this presumably small station, you must take extra 5-min into account, reaching the S-Bahn platform to/from Salzbrug (96-97).

This hotel is a breeze after visiting multiple hotels in Austria the week before. It has a fresh, modern feel and has a good and relaxed vibe. This will attract younger people or people who appreciate modern looking hotels. It's a three stories building with the reception being on floor nr 1. There is a shared balcony with different seats overviewing the quiet shopping street. A fridge provide soft drinks and beers. Write down what you take. My (single) room with small bathroom (shower, sink, toilet) were clean and fresh. As the hotel breaths a spiritual vibe, the hotel reception workers had pleasant communication skills. Also something that I had not experienced in Austria the week before. It was not a problem for them to wash my dirty cycling-cloths for instance. Very friendly reception. Breakfast was also sublime! Instead of the default "Kaiser" bread, eggs and "specke", there was more nutritious food available; porridge, fresh fruit, bananabread and gluten-free and nut-and-seed-bread. Yummy! All in all a very satisfied experience. I will visit again when in the neighbourhood!

The town is a sleepy town but Salzburg is close! I took my bike to visit the beautiful city Salzburg. A 30 minute ride.

It was amazing, great service, great breakfast (small but variety packed with tons of german bread). Cute little town that’s surprisingly active! Amazing stay, great big rooms, and a great experience overall! 10/10 DEFINITELY recommend

Small trashbins No lock on family bathroom

The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The wall isolation is good and ensures that no noise comes at night. The room was also clean. The hotel has got a pretty fect location, with only 7 min walk either to train station or the bust stop for 24 line connecting Salzburg. The only thing that might be missing is a tea kettle and a small fridge.
