I found and booked my room at this hotel by accident, and it turned out to be great. The hotel location is easily reachable by both bus and metro. There is a penny supermarket nearby. The hotel does not have a restaurant which was not a problem for me, but there are not that many restaurants nearby as well. So, think ahead about arranging your lunch and dinner. The hotel bar was nice. The breakfast was good. The hotel's atmosphere was very nice, showing its previous function as a school.

The location was rather quiet. But the noise isolation of the walls was not very good and the neighbouring guests were fully audible, which is the only negative point I can think of as a light sleeper. The shower head mechanism was a bit tricky.

A brilliant idea to convert an old school building into a modern hotel. Good for the environment. Furthermore we like the interior design, which both reflects the old school and the modern hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Free parking in the old school yard. A short walk from an U-bahn station taking you direct into Stadtmitte.

A small detail really, but If you arrive by car, the GPS will lead you to the main entrance, which is facing the side street. In reality you should drive around the building and take the vehicle entrance from Hammer Landstrasse directly into the school yard. The reception is in the same level.

parking area is unlight. I arrived at 22h when it was dark and it was not easy to move around and avoid hitting other cars as there was totally no light. from parking area i could not find the entrance. next morning I noticed from the other side of parking it is easy to see but not from the side I was coming. parking entrance is not easy to find. Confusing entrance with hotel next door. At the other corner there is a Motel but the person at the reception didn't even know this and could not give me directions how to find the entrance. His Asian pronunciation of the German street also didn't help but my Chinese is a lot worse.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it never disappoints. It is very close to a station and easy to get into central Hamburg. The breakfasts are excellent and a real bonus. There are several supermarkets very close to the hotel so easy to get what you need. The shower is amazing. The staff are very helpful and professional. Lots of pamphlets available for things to do.

A small kettle in the room would complete the experience.

Beautifully presented, modern, decorated to a high standard. It was interesting that the hotel had once been a school. The room had great facilities and we loved the outside courtyard for coffee etc. excellent customer service: the staff were friendly and accommodating even though our grasp of the German language is limited at best.

Nothing really. The only thing that was slightly confusing was the entrance when we first arrived.

The hotel is not in the city centre of Hamburg however very close to the metro/undergound (200 mtrs.) that will take you in less then 10 minutes to the city centre. The hotel itself has nice quiet rooms with comfortable beds and the breakfast is outstanding!

In the direct area of the hotel is really nothing to do, but since the public transportation is that good and that near to the hotel that this 'negative point' is hardly worth mentioning.

I really had a lovely stay in this hotel. Its a renovated old schoolhouse and you can see its evolution from school to hotel on various trendy pictures on the corridor walls. It's very nicely decorated in a modern style but manages to keep its old worldly charms. The breakfast room is very large (like a school canteen) and there was a large selection of things to eat. Really enjoyed the breakfast! Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. The location was good too for what we needed. There is a U-bahn stop about 5 minutes walk away which brings you to the city centre in about 20minutes. There is a nice and cozy bar / lounge area just left of the reception area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I really liked my stay here. If I return to Hamburg one day I would go back here again without hesitation (if not too expensive). I think I got a good deal this time.

Nice accomodation near the city centre of Hamburg, with 5 minutes walk to the next metro station. The bus stop and a private parking were both on the doorstep.

Sound proofing was non-existent. Neither between the rooms, nor between the room and the hallway. Breakfast was poor with little options and unmotivated staff. Cleanliness was average, with visible spaces where previous guests were placing their glasses and mugs.

Excellent breakfast. Well located close to metro and close to other things that were important for me. Relatively easy access for vehicle, although entrance from the road is tricky (not down the street that is the Hotel's address). Comfortable, spacious, characterful rooms. Quiet area.

A curtain in my room had come off the rail, which meant that the curtains couldn't be fully drawn and leaked some light. Not a very big deal, but annoying nonetheless. I reported it to housekeeping. Entrance to parking should be better signposted: I showed on my Google maps review where this should be. I'll stay again on my next visit to Hamburg.

Beautiful and tastefully decorated. Feels low key luxurious. No extravaganza. Just a good, cozy hotel, that doesn't feel crowded. Comfortable beds with a varied choice of pillows. Located a 5 minute walk to U bahn which goes straight to the center. Kind service at the front desk. Breakfast was varied with lots of options. Good value. Free parking is a big plus.

No access to coffee or tea in or near the room. You had to buy it at the bar.
