Our suite was huge which is great when you don’t pack light. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the space. Huge bath and shower area too. Views are great over the lake. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and shops. It’s on a main road but is mostly sound proofed so you don’t hear much at all. The pool was the draw card for our booking and it was such a great way to start our day each day.

There is a strong sewerage smell in the room. It’s more like stale drain water or something. Not what you expect from a hotel of this calibre. Just took away from the experience. Beds could use new pillows.

Fantastic views over the lake in a beautiful spacious room, with a gorgeous ensuite that contains a huge shower and free standing roll top bath. The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were lovely. The Heritage restaurant, at the top of the hotel, came with the most amazing views, food, and service and to end the evening... a wonderful rooftop bar. Breakfast is also served in the same restaurant, and the variety of choices was outstanding. It's just a short walk alongside the lake to reach the old town, full of character and charm.

There wasn't anything not to like in this hotel, maybe next time we'll stay more than one night to try the spa, which is inclusive of the stay.

Perfect location for excursions on foot to the Old Town, walks/jogs by the lake, good connection to the public transport, perfect view from the room with Alster view, 2 of 3 receptionist I dealt with very professional,

Queues by check in and check out, tap in the bathroom is installed too low for comfotable hands washing cleanliness - daily cleaning consisted of constant change of towels (which I didn't wish for) and making the bed, dust under the bed and sand under the bank has been there when I arrived and when I left. Similarly the tray with kettle and cups doesn't seem to have been cleaned, at least not throughout my 4 day stay, though the cups were cleaned.

Superb breakfast, wonderful view over the lake especially from the restaurant. Great staff all very helpful and the cleaners who looked after the room.

The hotel is positioned near the centre which use to be easily accessible by walking, but this time there are some major changes going on where the rail network from the Hauptbahnof crosses the Alster, so the usual walk is blocked, while work continues. T This made the walk longer having to avoid the work area and didn't help access for a taxi to and from the hotel. Not sure how long the work will be continuing, but it has been ongoing for quite some time. Remember as you are staying at this Hotel, you get free rides on the Alster boat, it leaves Junfernstieg every hour and goes under the rail bridge from the Inner Alster to the Outer Alster, so is unaffected by the work. The first stop is Atlantic, which is only 5 mins walk from Le Meridien Hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions, yet in a quiet area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which had a great variety of options to choose from. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The only downside was that two of the elevators were out of service, which caused long waits for the one that was working.

The location is very good with great walks around the Alster and good views, although a short distance from the center of town. The room was large and comfortable and very clean, if a little tired. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made my stay more enjoyable. The buffet breakfast is good with plenty to choose from but €43!

The bar on the seventh floor was closed for special functions both nights. I can't get over €43 for bacon and egg for breakfast.

Exceptional breakfast experience with many goodies serving all needs. Splendid view over the Alster and just a perfect way to start the day. Staff were friendly, service orientated and helpful, attentive and accommodating. Loved it.

There is only one thing, it is the lack of a hand shower, which I miss in the tub and in the shower itself. I suppose as a lady I may not be the only one, enjoying the water where I want to have it instead of where it kind of pushes me to experience it.

Friendly staff, very good buffet, helpful staff, nice big bathroom and great big shower, good that shower not in bath and that shower easy for older people to get in, nice view from restaurant, like the idea of door bell that is super

Room could be bigger, bed for teenager a bit low and duvet cover too short. Light not so good, had to put on to many to have enough light to read, usb plugs missing, door by shower would be good because toilet got wet. Plugs

Breakfast was outstanding & the staff quite impressive. Spa was immaculately clean & quite Zen. I swam at 7am & it was nice & quiet. The sauna & steam room were perfect. Like the bath tub, old fashioned style free standing. The design of the guest rooms is lovely with soothing colors in the bathroom & bedroom.

I was going to arrange for a massage, but needed to email or call & I was out touring during the day, so I couldn't manage it. Would have been nice to have been able to arrange directly in the spa or at reception. Was a shame to have missed it.

Breakfast was good but extremely expensive so we only had it one day. The location by the Alster was perfect. The staff were all very pleasant and it was nice that a gift was provided for my son.

The bed could have been more comfortable with a headboard. Two shower types (one fixed and one flexible) would have been ideal. Also the bathroom door had no lock on it.
