The old character, the location, the ordinary shower products provided 😍, the warm welcoming staff member, who welcomed us with his lovely soul, sharing a bit of the history of this old building. We also really made good use of the juicer in the room and loved our little snacks, oranges and fruits. It’s such a difference to stay at a warm welcoming hotel like central in comparison to hotel chains. The location was also really amazing. We walked everywhere, were close to the mainstation, had lovely walks by the Alster and even managed to have breakfast opposite of the hotel. Would really consider to stay here again. Thank you 🫶🏻

Good location close to the station. Unusual decor, though much thought had clearly gone into it. The orange juicer was a nice touch, as was the coffee machine (though I didn't use it). There were very nice cafes nearby which opened early in the morning, so I had a good breakfast (without needing more orange juice).

If you are leaving early (as I did, with a train to catch, and needing to eat breakfast beforehand), ask how to get out of the main door without a key. I also failed to turn off all the lights in the bathroom overnight - and there was a glass panel high up....

Close to Bahnhof. Easy to reach and several restaurants around. The fresh juice and coffee making facilities were definitely great. In general definitely an ok stay

The room (number 2) is probably not the top room out of the five rooms available (according to host/owner) so that may be the reason for me being somewhat hesitant since most visitors before me have scored very high figures and extremely good comments. So my expectations were much higher than the actual outcome. Also we have been around with interrail for four weeks and we have stayed in fantastic appartments/hotels so my references were very very high level. Bel etage did not reach that level. Also I miss a fridge to be able to take beakfast in the room. The breakfast restaurant on the other side of the street cannot be recommended. Instead go to the neighbouring bakery with very good value for money

The location close to the train station was superb. We walked with our suitcases no problems. The restaurants on the street were also great. Enough choices you don’t need to wander far. The host was amazing, made us feel very welcome. Surprised us with a cherry cake on second day. Loved, loved the fresh juice manual orange juicer in our room with an abundance of oranges made available. I ended up buying on online so should arrive by the time we get home. Loved loved the open terrace area to relax, outdoor space is so important. Easy check in, we arrived a bit early but no problems, just called the mobile number and host arrived in 5 mins. We were very grateful for this. Had a bath and a sep shower too which was awesome. So quiet too.

Lots of stairs, but we expected this and the host helped drag up our suitcases. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the restaurant on this visit. I wouldn’t call this suitable for families with babies who have to carry them up the stairs but for families with kids who don’t mind climbing stairs then its perfect as there is a sep bedroom along with sep fold up bed for extra kid.

Great location within walking distance to train station and services. Clean and comfortable with outdoor patio space, fresh oranges and press for juice, and an outstanding tray of fresh bread and spreads waiting outside the door in the morning. I would definitely stay again when in Hamburg.

Not a problem at all, just a heads up: this is above a restaurant and you'll need to ask inside the restaurant to find the flat. The room was up two flights of steep stairs and might be an issue for some. The shower has a small step to enter and there's a slip hazard when exiting, so use a towel for the floor.

The rooms are wonderfully appointed with excellent beds, beddings, lights and extra seats/work spaces. Our room was large and spacious, faced an interior roof garden and included fresh coffee and an orange juice press! Arnold, the proprietor, brought us warm croissants for breakfast - what a delightful and thoughtful gesture. We also had an excellent dinner at the restaurant- which is only open in the evenings. Finding a place to eat is no hardship.

Property is well located- just a few minutes walk to central station and Alster park, but late in the evening, just be wary of your environment. There are quite a few vagrants and beggars that approach you.

I normally don’t review places unless the place is amazing. The apartment is the perfect size, clean, beautiful balcony and there is a coffee machine( great coffee provided) and an orange juice maker ( delicious and sweet oranges). The clean lady is super helpful and the owner of the place is super friendly and available. The location is spectacular 10 minutes from Central station where you can get amazing fish sandwiches, in front of the best asian restaurant where you can get delicious rahmen a block away from the water also backerys for fresh bread and coffee so loads to do and super easy to move around.

Nothing wrong with the place

Excellent location ina historic building close to the centre, yet (at the back of the hotel where we stayed) really peaceful. There is a bus stop a few steps away and an excellent, frequent bus service to further parts of the city. A one-day pass can be used on bus and metro. The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the Alster lake which is a lovely spot for a stroll in nice weather. Very comfy bed, large room, good temperature, openable windows. Clean for the most part. A friendly proprietor(?) brought warm croissants, bread & jam in the morning and, what with the in-room coffee machine fully supplied with coffee, filters etc, and orange press with limitless supply of oranges, we were very well catered for. Bathroom all worked and the shower was good.

The bathroom was not 100% sealed off from the room at the top and had no extractor fan. Not an insuperable problem with opening windows and a nice big TV (for sound cancelling!). The lighting could have been better arranged to get more overall room lighting. Again not a major issue.

Lots of character, and lovely unique features - manual orange juicer, for fresh orange juice in your room, complimentary fresh croissants brought to your room in the morning - were very welcome. Our 4 year old daughter loved controlling the multi coloured up-lighters and giant cushions! Perfect room for a family of 3 - we had a lovely stay. Perfect location - lovely road with restaurants and shops, and play park round the corner!

Little bit of dust and cobwebs in a few corners

We stayed for 2 nights: this was ideal location for us: short walk to the Hbf. The street (Lange Reihe) had plenty of restaurants, grocery shops, etc. And on some days a market. Room (no.3, I think) was nice, quirky decor, decent bathroom. Quiet. Breakfast was a bonus, plus oranges & a juicer, and filter coffee machine. Staff were helpful. Would happily stay here again.

Nothing much to say here. I struggled a bit with the lighting and the venetian blinds. The refrigerator wasn't very cold.
