Nice modern hotel with a high standard of fittings and fittings, above the normal standard for its star rating I would say. Quiet ambiance while I was there but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I didn't eat in the restaurant but the breakfast was excellent.

I am not familiar with the area and I booked the hotel on the advice of a business colleague as it was close to his location. The hotel appears to be on an industrial estate of sorts - albeit a pleasant one - and surrounded by small business premises. This is ideal if you are on business in the area but not so good if you are looking for some local colour such as nice bars, restaurants etc. This is not a criticism as obviously the hotel can't change its location but it might be useful for other travellers to know.

Perfect location close to the motorway, on our drive from Belgium to Austria. The room was very cosy and stylish. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was varied with enough choices to meet our expectations. We had dinner in the restaurant the evening we arrived, and the food was very delicious and reasonably priced.

The bedroom was very comfortable and modern. Staff were very helpful and friendly, good breakfast and nice evening meal.

On the edge of an industrial estate. This didn't really affect us as we were using it as a stopover for our journey from Northern Italy up to Europoort in the Netherlands. It was minutes away from the Autobahn.

The staff were fabulous…Very welcoming and friendly. The location was great … just off the highway. The restaurant served very nice food. There was a small gym and a charger for my electric car. It was a perfect stopover location and is a favorite for future car trips.

Lovely hotel, luxurious family room. Very comfortable beds.. Coffee/tea facilities in the room and a nicely decorated lounge/bar/restaurant area downstairs. Private parking. Great hotel to have stayed overnight on our way to Austria!

The hotel is in an area with a lot of construction activity. There was no noise from it when we stayed overnight on our way to Austria, but I can imagine it isn't great if you consider staying longer...

Felt right at home. Everyone is very friendly. The room was clean and smelled good. The food (restaurant and breakfast) were also a huge plus. All in all Hotel Winterrot was a pleasant surprise!

Hotel is situated on an industrial / business park. While this gives plenty of parking space (if you don't want to use the free gated hotel parking), when sleeping with the windows open it can get a bit noisy with lorries in the morning.

Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Fridge in the room did not cool down anything. Single beds put together for a double bed with nothing keeping them in place instead of a big bed. Also the duvets where given as medium size not suited for a double bed.

The staff were all very friendly both at reception and in the restaurant. The room was decorated to a high standard. It felt like we were staying at a much more expensive hotel. We had both breakfast and an evening meal and they were delicious. Lovely place to spend my birthday evening.

Other front receptionist who shamed me for not knowing my room number - I had gone straight from the car park to the room as my husband had checked in - and who corrected his recollection of the room number from 15 to zero one five without a smile! Restaurant is expensive for poor quality food although staff were lovely.
