We had a wonderful family stay at the Sonnenhof Hotel. The room was very cosy and comfortable, with a lovely view that made our mornings extra special. Communication with the staff was always easy – everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a nice variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and we would happily return!

The Sonnenhof is a cosy chalet in the forested area above Kassel with spacious, clean rooms, beautiful views and crisp, fresh air. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The only small thing is that the water pressure in the shower is fairly weak. Otherwise everything was excellent. Highly recommended for those who want a quiet stay outside the centre of town.

Next to the electric kettle, there were 19 tea bags and instant coffee packets! I appreciated that! The bed was also comfy and I liked vibe that the wall paper gave to the room! The guest house is close to the best walking routes of the forest in my opinion.

It took some time for me to find the entrance to the guest house.

The location at a quite neighbourhood. Close to Hercules monument and Lowerburg Castle. Also the breakfast was great and the room

Very beautiful nature arround. Nice warm villa with big and clean room. Perfect beds, very comfortable. Coffee and tea in the room. Pleasant staff. It wasn't a huge choice during the breakfast. So don't expect a breakfast like in the big hotels.

Breakfast, nice fresh coffee. Ideal for our stop over on the way from Poland to France. friendly and helpful staff. Good communication prior to arrival. Easy check in process.

Was a struggle to find a parking space without blocking other people in. The extra beds added to our double room for the kids, would be fine for young children. However, they were a bit small for our kids (17 & 13).

Beautiful location in a quiet village near Kassel. Very picturesque old style Gasthaus but very modern inside. Nice sized bedroom and bathroom with great views across the Wald. Near to all sights with easy access.

Everything was very good apart from the lift that was not working.

A very pet-friendly hotel. Very good location with ample forest walks with a dog. Near the Hercules monument, abt 15 mins walk. Breakfast is simple but good enough to start your day. Highly recommended! Btw, the pub down the road is also pet-friendly.

The extra beds for the kids were very uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn't self-service. A plate brought to the table with few things on it.

We loved our stay here! Our rooms were very comfortable. The area was so beautiful and relaxing. While staying here, we visited Bergpark Wilhelmshohe and Lowenburg Castle which were very close.
