I had a wonderful stay with my family at the H4 Hotel in Kassel, Germany. The room was very comfortable and clean, and I was especially impressed with the spacious and comfortable bathroom – it really added to the overall relaxing atmosphere of the stay. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. The location is another big plus – it’s very close to the city centre, which made it easy to explore Kassel on foot. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of delicious options, catering to all tastes – from fresh pastries and fruits to hot dishes. There’s truly something for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again with my family!

We really enjoyed our stay – everything was great! The only small thing that could be seen as a downside was the fact that parking wasn’t free. I think if the hotel has its own parking, it would be nice to offer it for free to guests. But honestly, it’s just a minor thing and didn’t affect our overall experience at all.

Overall, quite a nice hotel. The room was spacious and peaceful, with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom was large, featuring a nice bathtub. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located in a calm area of the city, halfway between Kassel’s city center and Wilhelmshöhe Park—both reachable on foot with a bit of a long walk, but also easily accessible by public transport.

I wasn’t a big fan of the room’s decor (a bit outdated in style), and the view wasn’t the best. The room was also a bit cold at night, with no extra blanket provided, and I couldn’t find the thermostat settings - they were hidden in a wall panel behind the TV.

Great hotel for the Kongress Palais, just a minutes walk. There's a tram stop outside for exploring the city. The service was spot on with friendly but unobtrusive staff. The onsite restaurant was great, breakfast had a huge variety and everything was tasty. The evening meal was not priced higher than local restaurants and the food was so good. Would stay here again.

No negatives for me, I had everything I needed.

The reception staff were not only friendly but also highly professional, making the check-in and overall experience a breeze. Although the hotel parking lot across the street is chargeable, there are plenty of free parking spaces available along the roadside, providing cost-effective options for guests. The rooms were tastefully decorated and well-appointed, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast served at the hotel was exceptional, with a wide variety of options and generous portions, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.

Very nice hotel and super nice staff. Very quick and uncomplicated check in and check out. Good breakfast with good options also for vegetarians. Comfy beds and nice big room. I had booked the room 1h before arriving stating in the note that I was travelling with a dog. On the arrival to the hotel they had a goodie bag ready for my dog! definitely a very nice touch and totally unexpected.

Everything was great for one night stay

Good room size, great breakfast, central location, nice town view. My room had an air conditioner, but I was told not all the rooms are equipped with it, so make sure to ask for one depending on the weather. Free mineral water is nice, same as free ticket for local public transport. Hotel has plenty of parking space if you drive a car. Walking distance to/from a train station.

The furniture seems quite aged and old fashioned. The lights were failing in the bathroom, but were fixed later during my stay. Cannot say that the bed was super comfy, but was just okay. Elevators are slow and can be quite busy in the mornings.

Very nice breakfast. Large room and good master bed. The extra bed was nothing to write about.

The hotel offered charging of EV, but when we came to the car in the morning the charging had failed. They must give better instruction on how to start the charging. Primary reason for choosing the hotel was the access to a charging station….

Staff was excellent and very helpful. Spoke English and very pleasant to have conversations with during stay. Room was great Coffee/tea and two bottles were great along with coffee machine and tea pot. Parking was very short distance from entrance. Free Transportation tickets for tram/ bus travel throughout city. Best shower water pressure ever seen in hotel...very nice after a long day walking. Breakfast is outstanding and the staff very professional from sharp dress, serve, and bearing.

Bathroom tub/shower is high to enter. If handicap or hard time lifting legs I would ask hotel for comfort room with easier access to shower areas Beds where low, but very comfortable - a problem getting out of sometime for us older people. No air conditioning- not a problem during our stay.

Great room, clean, comfortable, quiet. Big bathroom with tub. Dog friendly (they even provided good dogfood, which our dog loved). Parking on site. Great breakfast. Good location near beautiful park.

Some reception staff were nice, some could take a few lessons of "how to smile and make guests feel welcome". Wifi was so-so... not always working.

Room was large and comfortable for our family of three. Great bathroom facilities and toiletries. Parking across the street was convenient. Walking distance to nearby shops, cafes and not far from city centre. Staff were helpful.

Price perhaps, but really this was nothing unexpected for a high quality hotel.
