Two years ago we stayed in Kassel during the Summer with no air conditioning, and it ruined our holiday, so air conditioning was essential. However, there are so few places to book with air conditioning. We can happily say that despite the weather hitting 30 degrees during our stay, we were nice and cool and could sleep well, including our son (who get's night terrors if he gets hot). I used the sauna 3 of the 5 nights we stayed, and loved it. I've stayed in lots of hotels with saunas and they always seem to close early, or only open during seasonal months, or are busy /booked, or are broken. In this hotel, you pay 10 euros for 2 hours and I prefer to pay the money for the sauna. (1) The sauna is private, so it is only you in there, so you can relax. (2) You can book the sauna ANYTIME! So when you have children and have to wait for them to sleep, you can still go and have a sauna because it is always available. (3) There is a shower in there, spare towels, bottled water, loungers, so if you need some quiet time, it's a great option to have. (4) If the sauna is 'free' then everyone uses it, and you cannot book it. During my stay I had no problem booking it and it was always available when I needed to. (5) There is no such thing as a 'free' sauna. If the hotel added the price of the sauna into the services, this is unfair for people who do not wish to use it. Much better not to add it into the price, and then let those guests pay if they want to use it, I never used the gym room, but I looked inside and it had all the essential machines I like: running machine, step up machine, rowing machine, cycling machine. It was also available to use 24 hours. We never had breakfast in the hotel as we were visiting family in Kassel, and ate breakfast with family, so cannot comment on the breakfast. For a 4 star hotel, there was everything you expect: dressing gown, slippers, fruit and sweet on the counter, daily room service.

Maybe offer still water in the rooms rather than sparkling?

Breakfast should be better for a 4 star hotel

Even though room design is not to modern it has all you need for comfort stay - fridge, tv, comfort shower, enough storage rooms. Wireless Internet access is easy to configure, rather fast and stable. I'd like to highlight excellent system of ventilation and air conditioning.

I choose a room with a courtyard view, expecting to avoid noises of station area. The room's windows looking to other building nearby, however I got a plenty of fresh air and enjoyed silence.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Great location. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was great. The variety was amazing. The elevators were a little creaky and small. But they worked.

Staff did not understand English. We were able to figure things out.

When I checked into my room the bed wasn’t 100% clean, I found some hair underneath my pillow - probably from the cleaning lady. But I’ll be honest, I was dead tired and I just brushed it all away and went to sleep,

It’s just across the Kassel Bhf so very easy to get there without carrying the luggage too far. The room is relatively larger than in most other hotels . It’s clean and very functional. The staff was helpful.

There was no hair dryer in our room.

The hotel has excellent location, it is easy to access by car and it has a large parking area. The room size is very reasonable and it is simply and nicely furnished. There was a complimentary bottle of water and coffee/tea facilities. In the reception area there are coffee and cookies available the whole day.

There is a thermostat in the shower with which I found it difficult to set the right water temperature. The washbasin tap was very heavy, I had to use both hands to open it.

5-10 min walk to the city center parking place right behind the hotel - foc my room in the 6th floor was great - quiet, big, comfortable Sauna and gym I didn't use - heard that you have to pay 10$ extra to use the Sauna Could check in 3 hours earlier! :-)

I have nothing to complain!

The location was fantastic and everything within walking distance. The place looked a bit like a concrete block but inside was lovely and the staff were great. We could park the car at no extra cost which was a bonus.

To be honest for what we wanted, it was great. The only thing was the heating seemed to be broken or set to high, it was quite warm in the room and we didn't manage to turn the heating down so we had to open a window

We stayed for three nights, everything was great, the rooms was clean, the staff was nice, animal friendly, my rabbit liked it here! Very close restaurants, shops! For trip or business very nice place to stay!
