Everything was great during our one-night stay – we have nothing to complain about. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the interior design was absolutely stunning. The design truly left a strong impression!

The night receptionist had limited English skills and seemed a bit confused, which made communication somewhat difficult. Also, the parking lot right next to the hotel is very small. However, there's a much larger and cheaper covered parking area just nearby, which turned out to be a great alternative.

The design of everything looks very good. The room is nice with everything you might need, including a fridge. I especially enjoyed sitting on the window sill and looking at the harbor. The lounge area is very nice - there are different tables, chairs, couches, swings, a billiard table and board games.

The windows in the rooms can't be opened, and the AC is not always enough to get fresh air. The bar was understaffed - we were waiting forever and when no one paid any attention, we just left without ordering. During breakfast there was also not enough staff. The dishes and cutlery weren't refilled often enough, so one day we had to eat without forks and the other day there were no pancakes left.

Nice location, close to shopping street and train station. Nice view to the harbor. Nice with wide windows, where you can sit and read a book or relax. The hotel provides delicious powder, unfortunately not at all rooms, do not know why. Service personell were occasionally too few, both at reception but also in the bar. We were waiting long time to be allowed to order, same to pay. Breakfast is quite good, over average. Parking is expensive with 25 EUR / day, we stayed three nights and had excessive expense on parking. No good alternatives nearby. Atmosphere in the lobby / bar is quite relaxed and not as sterile as in many other hotels.

Amount of stuff, occasionally also the way, personell talked to guests. This is not valid for all, but some. Breakfast was organized by one person only, she was quite busy. On a previous stay the hotel provided sweets for free, which I promised my daughter. Unfortunately this has been abolished / replaced by free popcorn from 6 to 8 p.pm. Was this free sweets really so expensive?

I was really impressed with the staff and in particular with Tina Mogdans who was extremely helpful in reuniting me with my luggage containing passports, computer , iPads, other important papers that I had left behind in the room. I am grateful to her for her kind and helpful phone call when I was panicking and offered to send it to me. As it happened we managed to get back from Denmark to collect my bag in person and she made sure it remained safe in her care. Great to have hotel staff that are diligent and professional, it means everything.

Great hotel for a family stay. Everything is authentic and modern, billiard, gym, table-tennis. Waffel station at breakfast. Breakfast is at the bar area, overall good. Great sandwiches in the bar in the evening. The view to the railway with trains coming and going, nevertheless rather quiet.

Chose a parking lot in a 3 min walk. The 5 min area around is not for a quiet lazy stroll, because of the train station, although a shopping centre in a 5 min walk is rather handy.

The hotel design is unique and beautiful. It's located near the train station and the docks. The breakfast and dinner choices are good. The staff are very friendly and polite. And the lobby is really cozy and pleasant, makes you feel at home.

The room is beautifully designed but on the smaller side. Windows don't open. Instead there's a device on the wall to control the thermostat and ventilation.

It’s very close to everything in Kiel. If you’re travelling by ship then it’s super easy to walk to the terminal. Casino is just a 10 min walk. Shopping centre is also a 5 mins walk. The rooms were nice and modern. Free mini bar for the night. Lobby is nice with a pool table. Overall great stay.

Found the staff a bit rude. The lady did not understand anything we were saying even though she spoke English… had to explain it many times to her, she acted like she has seen brown people for the first time. Bad experience at the reception.

It was a nice and clean hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel hat decided to go for an edgy style, guess hipster. That is not too bad and it was a very relaxed mood. After a great evening out in Kiel with good friends, I woke up slightly foggy headed and saw motivational sayings, saying be a frog and get naked. That confused me at first, until I realised that all it meant was that frogs are naked. In the evening they had a pool table and did not force people to go to bed at 22:00.

It was all good actually

EVERYTHING. The proximity, it’s about a seven minute walk to the train station. The breakfast choice, quality, variety and value would be hard to surpass. There is a gym and sauna that I availed of is hot, big, spotless and free. A fantastic edition to an already great hotel.

There is nothing I didn’t like. Everything was just as I like it to be in a hotel.

A perfect location for the fjord and train station access. Easy access by foot to the old town. The sauna and fitness centre were nice despite being small. The breakfast was great with many options, even vegan ones. The layout and arrangement is unique and can be very relaxing at the right times when not too busy. A recommended stay.

It can be busy at peak times (fitness centre in evening/morning and breakfast 9-10) in some of the smaller spaces but at normal times the layout works well.
