We had an apartment instead of a room in the main building. The apartment was large, clean and for a single night very well equipped. It was in walking distance of the main building's restaurant.

Although the restaurant staff did its utter best and was very friendly, they lacked some helping hands. Then I recognize that the difficulty of finding extra personnel is a daunting problem arising in my home country as well.

The breakfast was indeed superb, the staff incredibly friendly, the sauna was amazing and I don't think we've ever stayed in a hotel this clean!! I need to point out, they had not one or two but three different vegan milk choices at breakfast. THREE!! For comparison, in Badeparadies restaurant, they had none :)

The soundproofing could be better (we heard the neighbours' loud TV late into the night), but other than that, no complaints, this is a really nice place to stay.

Really beautiful hotel and one which I will 100% visit again. Really nice breakfast and friendly hotel staff. The rooms are very beautifully decorated - so much so that out of all the hotels we visited in South Germany, this stood out and over ceded our expectations!

The internet speed in the basement is unfortunately very slow, so we would have to go upstairs to get the work done. The menu didn't have many vegetarian options. There is also bad cell reception in general. But all of this is nothing compared to how beautiful the hotel is and how secluded it feels from the rest of the world.

Very clean rustic and cozy arrangement. And big thanks to Olaf and Karola for accommodating our special request to have accessible rooms for my parents. Nice location. Ample fresh breakfast.

The breakfast was great with lots of selection each morning and the restaurant had local fare. The location was beautiful as well and we enjoyed the room with a balcony.

very beautiful country style hotel. Every single decoration in the restaurant or in the corridor looks delicate and simply pretty. The kids like a bunk bed so much, which we also find very big and comfortable.

For us as outdoor enthusiasts, the location is amazing. It is very remote, but on the doorstep of a lot of trails. Very friendly staff and beautiful balcony.

The welcoming card was only in German, thank goodness for Google translate 😉

Everything was super nice and we would love to spend a longer time here. Lovely hotel, large comfy bed, extremely kind and accommodating staff, great breakfast with a variety of sweet and savoury options, sauna and solarium available on request. Pickup from train station was arranged at short notice, which we greatly appreciated as our trip was very spontaneous. We enjoyed our delicious and hearty dinner at the restaurant. Through our stay we also received a free Hochschwarzwald Card with discounts and offers for local sightseeing.

Beautiful guest house in a perfect location for exploring the Feldberg area. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony which we really appreciated. There is plenty of free parking at the property. The staff were really helpful, especially as we don’t speak any German! We were given tourist cards for discounted and free activities and public transport throughout our stay, which we made good use of. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting the southern area of the Black Forest!

Charming hotel in a quiet village somewhat off the main road, with various good hiking options directly from the hotel. I love the rustic decor of the both the rooms and the restaurant, and the balcony from my room had an impressive view of the mountains.

One of the rooms we had (on the ground floor) was long and rectangular, with only bay windows on the far side of the room, making it rather dark even during daytime. It was also fitted with a rather bulky double bunk bed (accommodating up to four people), when a normal double bed would have been more convenient and spacious. Also note that the terraces are located between the bays, meaning that one of the bay windows looks onto the next room's terrace. The other room (on the first floor, with a balcony) was perfect though. At breakfast, there was no fresh fruit and the bread wasn't very fresh either.
