We spent three nights at the hotel and absolutely loved it. It is a family run Gasthouse, but was not lacking the professional management of a big hotel plus the personal touch. The breakfast was served as a buffet with a thermos can of coffee already waiting on the table. The breakfast choices were excellent from eggs, different breads, cheese, cold cuts, different cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit. Our room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. And I can not mention enough the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners and their family. The went way beyond the expected when we needed help with our broken down rental car. We can not thank them enough. The other thing that we absolutely have to mention is the restaurant Florian's. Make sure you eat there at least once while staying at the hotel. The food is extraordinary and creative. The location is great, an easy and short drive to the Feldberg, also the Wutach gorge and Todtnau are just a short drive away. So is Titiesee and Schluchsee. The little town has a railroad station with direct connections to the very touristy Titiesee.

Nothing, we absolutely loved everything. Once thing to be aware of, especially for older guests, is that there is no elevator. To reach the guest rooms you have to walk stairs, which was no problem at all.

Great location just off the main road. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s been decorated with nice style and is tasteful. The room was comfortable and with a nice bathroom. The balcony was lovely too but we couldn’t really use it during the trip as building works were taking place underneath on a new terrace. The hosts are friendly and do not hesitate to book a table to eat. The food cooked by the owner Florian is amazing. The flavours and menu were brilliant and our party enjoyed eating there both nights of our stay. The vegetarian in the party said it was the best tasting and diverse menu option for her of the whole trip. Breakfast is just as delicious with so many options also. Lovely views and would definitely stay here again and recommend

Nothing it was all fabulous

Excellent hotel a short walk up from the station. Great food, breakfast superb, half board dinner was a very good four course meal with a choice from a couple of options each day. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Konuscard included in the stay gave free public transport which made for great walking.

Room on the side of the hotel had traffic noise with window open (window closed was fine)

Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff, very good breakfast and excellent new year's eve dinner :-) Feldberg ski area nearby (8km) is very good for beginners

Getting to Feldberg ski area can take between 15min and 2h

Everything is new and clean. Room was comfortable and large with beautiful balcony. The location is great: a bit outside of the village center, but plenty parking places and it takes just few minutes to walk to the centre. We also walked to the lake through the woods and it was incredible! We are so greatful to the staff for that tip 🤗 The hotel is also a great start point to go around - few minutes drive from the cable car station. We also enjoyed a trip to Titisee lake. The food is really good, both at breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed that perfectly fresh vegetables, fruit, hot just-from-oven bread (really good variety for a small hotel) and croissants. We had steaks and local beers for dinner and it was soooo good. Regards to Florian 🍻

The hotel restaurant is closed some evening for rest... that is OK, but there should be a notice to the guest in order to enable then an alternative...

Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The included breakfast was amazing and very well prepared.

They did not have air conditioning in the room and lack of air exchange. For visiting during summer, it was quite warm in the rooms.
