Location is very good - walkable distance till main shops streets, train station around 15 min and hiking trails starting nearby. The street itself is very quiet and safe. Nice breakfast selection, fresh bread and good coffee Room has quite decent size, bed and pillows are comfy. There is also kettle and minibar. There is heating which you can adjust. Room is soundproof ( we could not hear noises from the street and other rooms, only from the corridor a bit) We reserved 2 rooms together and could checkin and pay separately what was very convenient

There is no elevator ( was not critical for us) Shower cabin was leaking Checkin time is limited ( no 24/7 reception) - luckily we made it on time even though our flight was delayed

In a very quiet and nice part of the city but still close to the city center and few walks to the river where you can swim and enjoy the fresh water in summer. Room was clean and the shared bathroom was spotless clean so didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I enjoyed staying here.

It's more a suggestion. I feel a bit bad for the tourists that have a very hard time to understand the lady that take care of breakfast. She was very nice but still severe and not open minded by keeping speaking in german with all the other tourists. I can understand some words in german and it was fine for me but for the others I can feel how it was awkward that every single words and communication was only in german and with no small effort to say some words in english. Important note : The staff in general were absolutely available to speak a perfect english

Charming little hotel on the cusp of the Altstadt, but quiet quiet, the only outside "noise" was from the resplendently singing blackbirds and the children playing across the street. My room was tiny with a shared bath but both were spotless, and the bathroom was only shared with one other room. This is, again, a tiny room with a tiny single bed but a perfectly comfortable one. Breakfast was included and was superb! Excellent German Filterkaffee and delicious breads, meat, cheeses, Birchermuesli. Staff were unerringly pleasant and could communicate well in German, English, and French, among other languages I would guess. This hotel was simply a delightful suprise.

Nothing, honestly.

There is a sink, shoe chair, wardrobe, table and chairs in the room. It can be seen that the furniture is relatively old, but the sink should be new. The shared bathroom outside the room is also very new and clean. It is very comfortable overall. Although the room is small, it has everything you need.

It's a bit far from the city center, but it's not far away on foot. The single room is located in another building. When you come back at night, the lights will be dim. Solo travelers should pay attention to their own safety.

Nice hotel set down a side street in Freiburg. Just a short walk across the road and you're in the Old Town area full of shops and restaurants and within easy reach of the cathedral. The owner recommended a restaurant to us in the old town and it was lovely to sit outside and eat dinner. Parking can be reserved at the hotel but is extremely limited. We were unable to get a parking space but no.problem as the hotel has a space in a public car park just over 5 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is very clean, the rooms nice and breakfast good. Would definitely recommend

Such a well kept, welcoming, comfortable and classic small hotel. The staff were all very helpful and kind, the room was very quiet, very clean and relaxing. Really well located, minutes from the Munster, walkable from the train station, close to cafes, restaurants and the river for a summer dip or bike ride (on the easy to use frelo city bikes, drop stop near by). Loved all the little touches like flowers in the windows and the breakfast was great too. Thank you Alleehaus.

All was just great.

The room is of medium size, the breakfast is rich and varied, and the dining environment is warm and comfortable. The hotel staff were kind and friendly. They told us about delicious restaurants and called us a taxi. It was a great stay.

There is no elevator in the hotel, so it will be difficult for travelers with large luggage. There are several steps from the hotel entrance to the counter, and it's a bit hard to carry luggage.

Convenient location. Breakfast is really tasty - my favorites are fresh croissants and muesli. There is a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. With shared bathroom option it was nice to have a sink in the room.

Common bathroom for 3 or 4 rooms. The toilet and the shower are combined, so if somebody takes a shower, you cannot use the toilet. There is a toilet in the main building though.

The location was great just a few minutes walk to the centre of the Freiburg. It was in the very nice residential area and street parking was restricted to the resident only (a neighbourhood woman came to my car and telling me that we can not park on the street when we trying to find the parking of the hotel). The parking was located behind the hotel so, you might want to park hotel's driveway when you check in. The breakfast was very good. Room was very clean and charming. I would stay again this hotel.

The bed had an uncomfortable protective plastic cover under the sheet that slip off the sheet and sweaty on your back.

We loved staying here so much! My husband and I had one room, and our two teenagers shared another room. The rooms were lovely and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We easily walked to the Christmas Market and the shopping area's. We would definitely come back!
