The hotel was was fine but the bonus was the helpfulness of Dominic and, especially Rees when I had to get my Easyjet boarding pass printed out the next morning. As everyone knows, the Easyjet website is a minefield but Rees was a Godsend with her assistance at the reception desk. She went far beyond the boundaries of duty to send me on my way armed with my boarding pass.

As the hotel is off the main street, I felt more could be done to show the first-time visitor lost in the dark, exactly where it is. An illuminated sign and a few arrows pointing in the right direction would help enormously.

City Hotel Freiburg is a great place to stay on the edge of the old city. Front desk staff is welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, and completely organized. The hotel breakfast is substantial, varied, and delicious, don't miss it! Rooms are clean and well appointed, with modern furnishings and everything in good repair. Reserve a fourth floor room if available, they are one more spiral staircase up from the elevator top floor, but large and airy with a view of the city rooftops.

The parking garage is shared by the block, and the hotel has minimal entry control, so even though spots are marked for City Hotel, parking may be limited on the first floor down.

The bathroom wasn't super clean when I entered the room, a few long hairs were on the floor. Also wasn't cleaned during my stay, but this was really the only minor inconvenience during an otherwise excellent stay

perfect hotel, the only thing you need to be aware of is that breakfast is served in shifts. You need to decide beforehand if you want your breakfast between 7 and 8, or 8 and 9, or 9 and 10.

Everything is good BUT if you plan to travel here by rental car, please consider carefully. This hotel is located in the special environmental zone that you need Emission sticker. To get this sticker for a rental car is almost impossible because you need to purchase it in advance but the rental car company can’t provide you the car registration number in advance to use as part of the sticker purchases. Alternatively, you rent an EV car

Employees are very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning was very good. The staff always tries to do their best. Room condition was very good, breakfast was good and sufficient. It is very close to the city center, very close to shopping centers, it is possible to stop by the hotel while touring the city center. 12 minutes walking distance from the central train station. There is a supermarket right next to it that is open until 22:00. Nearby, it is possible to find a restaurant open until late.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms size was perfect for the 3 of us. The location is perfect! Breakfast was good, coffee could have been a bit stronger :)

The only minus was tbe fact that we had 3 tiny bottles of body wash for the 3 of us for 3 nights.

Extremely pleasant stay – in particular because the staff were so friendly and accommodating! I asked them whether they could provide vegan breakfast and they went out of their way to make it possible, buying vegan cheese and even vegan sausages and oat milk just for me. It was also very clean and simple. Perfect after a long conference!

The location is perfect. The room is big. The breakfast was nice. There is a parking under the hotel for 15 euros. The staff was very friendly. The supermarket just next to hotel,

No air conditioner and no small fridge in the room. These 2 were missing. We opened the windows but on the morning was noisy.

The hotel is well located for a short stroll into the main centre. Around a 15 minute walk to the bus and train stations. The twin room was bigger than I had expected. The continental breakfast was as expected. The hotel staff were friendly.

A kettle in the room along with tea and coffee, would have been a plus, without asking for one.
