Incomparable Location right next to Englisher garden. Excellent breakfast.

Been coming to this hotel for many years. And I feel that they need to update as things are getting a bit tired. Now we came during a heat wave in August and the rooms are quite stiflingly hot. I know having air-conditioning in Munich seems to be a crazy extra. But it really does affect your quality of the stay. They provided fans, but they were woefully inadequate. Opening windows is a huge invitation to mosquitoes. I am holding out hope that this hotel will do some renovations because I love the location. A tough love review.

The Hotel Biederstein is a welcoming, charming boutique hotel right next to the gorgeous English Garden in Munich. The neighborhood is upscale, quiet and green, and it was an easy ride on the subway - a short walk away - to the center of the old town. The hotel is clean and modern; we stayed in a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the bright, park-like neighborhood. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful in every way. We did not realize this, until we checked in, but our booking included breakfast! And what a great breakfast that was! It proved to be a great start to our energetic days in Munich. Great variety of delicious options, with table service of coffee and eggs!

This hotel is very close to the English Garden, just a few minutes of walk. The room was clean and big enough for 2 people.The bed was comfortable. There is a nice balcony in each room. The breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was very hepeful. The metro station is about 10 min. walk. We rented a car and parked during evening and night on a Biederstein Str.. 2 EUR for an hour, but from 11PM till 9 AM its free. There are many restaurants and bars near a hotel.

There is no air conditioner in a room. On the first day of our stay the temperature was around 30 get C, so the room was pretty hot. Other days, the temps went to normal ( 20-22 deg C) , so it was OK. The WiFi didn't work fast. You should consider this during your order.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and nice. Our rooms were comfortable - they upgraded us to a double room. There's a nice restaurant about a block away that had an English menu and the food was decent. I really wanted to explore the English garden area but it didn't work out. We would definitely stay there again especially if we were there for longer than 36 hours!

We were only in Munich for about 36 hours. The location was really nice but not super conducive for our brief visit and full itinerary - somewhere closer to the U-bahn or S-bahn would have been better. The bus stop was conveniently close by but not convenient overall - it came by about every 15 minutes and you had to go pretty far to connect to the U- or S-bahn.

I love the location (have stayed in this location before) and the breakfast was excellent. The facilities are a little spartan (I wouldn’t rate the room decor as cozy) but very clean, and more than adequate to one’s needs. Staff were pleasant and the value was very good considering the very reasonable rates. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Towels are quite thin and after three days without replacement, somewhat limp. The lighting in the room was well placed but just a little more attention to decor would have been nice (a plant? Or picture on the wall?). The decor in the breakfast room was charming, by comparison. Main service was spotty. My room was not routinely tidied up.

Very good communication from the first moment I made the booking. The nier vecinity of the hotel is very charming. The U-Bahn station for lines 3 and 6 is at a few minutes walking distance. We used the two lines up and down everywhere we went. Nice breakfast and staff. The owners were always helpful and the hotel is a very welcoming place. Big thanks for everything!

The thing that the reception is opened only between 7-22 scared me at first, but I contacted them and everything was sorted out quickly, we even got tips for the transfer from the airport.

Exceptional courtesy from all the staff. I had some setbacks in the schedule due to traffic conditions, and already before 10pm I received a phone call asking me when I would arrive; Ascertained that I would arrive after the reception closing time, a solution was still found. The next day the person I think was the owner, personally accompanied me into the garage, where a comfortable place had been reserved for me, and helped me with access and parking maneuvers; same thing when I left, at the end of my stay. Furthermore, the location is very convenient, in the Munchen Schwabing area, close to clubs, restaurants, services in general, and a 10-minute walk from the Munchnerfreiheit metro station from which you can quickly reach Marien Platz and the BMW Museum. The room assigned to me was very quiet.

The staff is friendly and informal, creating a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast is good; my measure is fresh fruit. The bed was exactly suitable, firm enough and a pillow that is formable to any thickness. The location is extremely silent, away from roads and just by the park. Small walk to U-bahn, shops and restaurants. I had an important business call to be made, so the staff ensured beforehand that wifi is strong enough.

These are tiny details just to answer the question. The room could have more electricity plugs.

Friendly and helpful staff. Cozy and quiet location and next to the park. Very good breakfast. Good when you're alone or with friends. I guess may be not suitable for families with children. It's next to the park so if you like morning jogging then it's the hotel suited for you!

Wonderful location alongside the gardens. Very quiet and extremely clean. Mid century styled hotel in excellent condition- filled with character and charm. Room we stayed in was spacious with a balcony and natural ventilation. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff. We had a wonderful stay.
