Room was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and shower excellent. Plenty of options for breakfast. Excellent hotel in a very nice location. Very little road noise. Double glazing keeps a lot of the noise out. The Hard Rock Cafe was beneath my room - but no noise at all. The air conditioning worked very well and was almost silent, very easy to control. Windows can be opened too. The mini fridge was completely silent. The TV had an anti-glare screen. Staff were very polite and helpful.

The light switches in room 305 were too intelligent for their own good. Sometimes one press, sometimes two presses. Sometimes the light above the bed would not turn off. Need a rail in the bathroom for large towels - I would have happily kept the towel in use longer. One of the elevators was not working.

Noisy revellers late evenings in the streets at weekends, but excellent windows shut out the sound!

The hotel location is fantastic! The Hofbrauhaus, Hard Rock Cafe, shops, and city hop on/hop off tour bus routes are just around the corner. We also enjoyed the breakfast every morning- a large variety of breakfast foods.

We had a very difficult time getting from the train station to the hotel. It was too far to walk with luggage and there was a lot of road construction. We eventually found the correct city tram/train but it would have been very helpful if the tram number was given in the hotel's web site directions. When we checked in to the hotel the girl working the front desk gave us no hotel information or a city map- she was a bit unfriendly. We checked back the next morning and the front desk man was friendly and gave us a city map. We liked our room but the bathroom door hit the toilet and allowed very little room to move around. However, we would stay again.

Great location in the centre of Munich old town. Walking distance to the Marienplatz. Easily accessible by train. Rooms were good size. Staff were friendly. Gym/sauna and wellness centre were good places to go after a day out. Some noise at night as the beer hall is across the road but noise restrictions mean it’s not too loud after 10pm. Pillows initially very soft but able to select firm pillows from pillow menu. Didn’t do breakfast as was quite expensive so unable to comment.

Received a warm welcome and helpful staff members throughout stay. Room was clean with new bathrooms. Room and bathroom was well laid out with functionality in mind. The single bed was comfortable and wider than I expected so it is a large single (not very long mind you - note for those over 6ft 2). WiFi was stable and needed due to this being a work trip. Umbrella's were ready in case needed as there were light showers throughout the day. Enjoyed a wonderful selection for breakfast. Location is superb and convenient with Marienplatz station a few streets away however it is next to a famous dining/drinking location which is a little noisy at night with window open.

Even with the window closed, I could still hear the guests at the restaurant/brewery down the street - perhaps the window seal was not there/working.

Great location within walking distance to all of the old town. Breakfast buffet is outstanding and the rooms are air conditioned and very comfortable.

It was a little loud as we had a room overlooking Münzstraße which was very lively on friday and saturday nights as the hotel is around the corner from the Hofbräuhaus.. Keeping the windows closed drowned out most of the noise, but if you a very light sleeper you should ask for a room overlooking Sparkassenstraße. Also we had to retrieve our own car from their parking garage which is very narrow, not sure that is the norm or because we checked out before 7am.

The size of the sleeping area and bathroom were amazing and the added bonus of the walk-in closet was unexpected. I also did not realize a butler would be carrying our luggage and helping us to our room. The mini bar kept fresh cold water and complimentary beer. The location was very near the famous Hofbräuhaus and steps away from the Marienplatz and a ton of restaurants and bakeries.

A bigger selection of breakfast items - people travel here from all over the world and the limited croissants and sanwiches were not appealing, but this is not a deal breaker. Items of interest were just down the next block.

I absolutely loved the renovation of the lobby, removing the very small bar at the rear and the shop at the entrance and replacing them with a cafe and conference/business room. The seating area in between the two was a nice addition as well. The renovation of the bathrooms in the room replacing that very high bathtub with a walk in shower is very welcome and easier on my knees. The staff was fantastic and professional as always and the location just can't be beat.

The price of the room was the highest I've seen it since staying there during the same period over the last 8 years.

A great location.Around the corner from Hoffbrau House and Marienplatz and the Market. Very close to the train. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very good. Hotel staff was wonderful.There is a lot of activity at night so we booked interior rooms to avoid noise level.

There were renovations happening during our stay so the spa area was closed. Also there was construction noise during the day but it ended before dinner.

The absolute best location! Everything we were interested in was within walking distance. The staff were especially lovely, particularly at reception. The entire hotel has a very cozy atmosphere, and the lobby bar has delicious cakes, if you’d like to indulge in an afternoon snack.

We did have issues with the rooms being colder than what was comfortable for us, but in the we figured if we turned up the heat in the bathroom and left the door open, the rooms would get warmer. There was also a mix up of allocating the rooms according to the specific guests, but that was most likely a Booking problem, rather than the hotel’s fault. I’d advise to call in and speak to reception/reservation department to make sure.
