February 2025

This is a simple hotel but has charm and the situation, very close to the Viktualienmarkt, is excellent and very convenient for all the sights. Staff are polite and friendly. The room was very quiet and no noise from the street (although presumably February is generally quiet). Smallish single room but perfectly comfortable and adequately furnished, with neat bathroom. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was generally excellent, although limited hot choices. I would definitely stay there again.

No heating control in the room (I think) and it was quite warm inside. It's always good to have a kettle and there wasn't. My only real grumble was the strange email I received via booking.com the day before arrival: "Unfortunately, we have encountered some difficulties. Your reservation has been temporarily suspended due to a lack of information. To complete the booking process, you need to follow a few steps here [link removed]." This was disconcerting, and not very helpful as all the links were removed and the registration form that I was required to complete didn't work either. An email to the hotel was fortunately answered quickly and said I needn't worry.

Location was perfect, check in was easy and the rooms were small but very comfortable with excellent beds and a nice selection of pillows. Free bottle of mineral water in the room, and the hotel has a nice place to sit outside and have a beer. So many restaurant and food choices literally steps from the front door that you will never go hungry or wish you had more things to pick from! Hotel was clean and had nice big windows that looked over a courtyard. With the windows closed the room was very quiet and we slept well.

While the breakfast was very much a traditional European spread that we've come to expect, we also appreciate when they add scrambled eggs and some bacon to the lineup. They did feature a large selection of cold salads (potato, herring, and some others I didn't recognize) and a lot of cereals and muesli which was nice, but the weisswurst and hot dogs floating in warm water didn't look super fresh and we ended up supplementing our breakfast with food from the Viktualienmarkt. All hotels in Munich charge more during Oktoberfest, but we felt the price was very high for a one night stay and they definitely take advantage of maximizing rates during the fest.

It is nice hotel . Old style hotel. But it is clean and really good. Location is perfect. Staff really friendly and helping a lot. I had really doubt about hotel when i saw they have shared bathroom. But i was lucky i made reservation room with private bathroom. Room is enough big for one person. Breakfast is not so big but i think is satisfy.

They dont have private safety box. Even it was written in booking facility. I think there is option with private safety box rooms. There is no minibar .

Fantastic location for a trip to Munich old town. Very comfortable beds, hotel spotlessly clean throughout. Water (fizzy as I found out when it exploded in my face on opening!) and coffee in the room. Im always a fan of a hotel room where you can open the windows. Staff helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection of hot & cold, sweet and savoury food, allowing us to sample some traditional food.

Not anything really - breakfast buffet was a bit depleted by 8.15 am on Sunday morning and wasnt refreshed, but still plenty of food just decreased range.

The breakfast was included, and was varied and substantial, with additional options which could be ordered. The room was large with adequate storage, the shower room was clean with good temperature control and pressure. The hotel is in an historic building with plenty of charm.

Because the building is historical, there was no A/C, but a fan was provided so the room was fairly cool at night (my stay was during a July heat wave).

Really friendly, helpful staff, fabulous location, close to everything and ideal for a short stay in the city. We especially loved wandering round the market. Great breakfast, comfy duvets.

Room was small, although that wasn't really a problem for such a short stay. I found the bed a bit hard, but my preference is for a softer mattress. However the one in my mum's room was different and much softer so I guess it depends on the room.

Location excellent spot Food good Front desk lady very nice

No AC, no fans, had to ask for one, but too Little The lady at the restaurant during breakfast didn’t offer me coffee and neither did her staff, I felt she doesn’t like Latino and brown people. Restaurant staff in the morning are not polite, nor friendly, they don’t even welcome you with a good morning nor hello. The guests have to it

Location is ofcourse ideal. But for that price they should maybe put more love in the details. The entrance looks a bit messy. Beds where very comfortable. Shower and bathroom also good.

Everything was fine except the breakfast. Not good quality, no fruits or vegetables for vegetarians or vegans. The crackers where due. For such a Hotel , not cheap at all, the breakfast was very very bad. Better quality and less quantity would be better. Should also let the clients know if the products are Organic,,, where do the eggs come from. Is the bread from the market? A bit more love in the details.

Great location, a few blocks from the central square. There is a large open air market and a huge enclosed Italian market across the street. The hotel itself is an old building. a reminder of the past, in a good way. Very cool Restaurants/bars/shopping in all directions. Short walk to the commuter train station

Its location was fantastic - so close to Marienplatz, where you could get direct to the airport by train, also walking distance to the Hofbrauhaus. The beds were also super comfortable, and the breakfast had a decent selection.

The shower leaked under the shower door so flooded the bathroom if you didn’t put towels down.
