The hotel was so close to Marienplatz and the market and bakeries!! Lobe the accessibility to the train station too.

Expensive breakfast but great service Just go to the market for more choices.

The Louis Hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, right next to the Viktualienmarkt. The room was spacious and beautiful. We were facing the interior courtyard, so no issues with noise at night. The staff was helpful when we had questions and gave us an early check in, free of charge, which was priceless to us after a long morning of travel. Overall price was a little high, but we were also there during the 2024 EUFA cup, so all prices were high. However, after our stay, and taking into consideration room, location, service, etc, I think.

The cost and style of breakfast - we only had breakfast at the hotel 1 morning, and the cost was steep ($35/pp). You could order as much as you wanted from the menu. However, I think I would've rather paid a la cart, at a lower cost, since I definitely did not eat $35 worth of food. Otherwise, this hotel was perfect for our stay.

Amazing location right on Viktualienmarkt! Gorgeous interior design; very Scandinavian or Japanese minimalist rather than classic Bavarian. Nice breakfast. Lovely staff and service. Super comfortable bed and French balcony door for fresh air. Nice nespresso machine in the room.

Seemed overpriced for the actual amenities offered: no fitness or sauna, for example. Breakfast was nice but not the best hotel frühstück choice I’ve ever had. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak and it was difficult to figure out how to switch from shower to bathtub. The mini bar was complimentary, but there was no alcohol in it.

The location was truly phenomenal. It couldn't have been better. Yurii, who works at reception, was the shining star who took my initial concerns and went far beyond the call of duty to rectify them. He literally made my stay in Munich a wonderful memory. Thank you! Breakfast is excellent as is the service. George, the chef at the rooftop restaurant/bar, provided me with the most exceptional chicken I've had in decades. Kudos to him!

The only area for improvement would be to have larger TVs and access to more than one English channel (a common issue when travelling throughout Europe.

This property exudes class and refinement. The staff are professional but friendly. Most of all the rooms are wonderful and tastefully furnished. The bed was super comfy, there was a large seating area and small balcony overlooking a courtyard. Best of all there was a window into the bathroom which had a large soaking tub, robes, and nice amenities. Just overall the whole ambience and layout was wonderful and if you can afford to stay here, definitely try it. Finally, it seems this is a happening place as there were a ton of people in the cocktail lounge and the restaurant has amazing views over the market.

It is a little hard to find as the entry is located down an alley, but it's well signed on both entries (one from the main street not far from Marienplatz and the other right off the Viktualienmarkt).

Hotel was just perfect for our one night away without children. We got a very friendly, warm welcome at reception and we were given an upgrade to a Courtyard Deluxe which was beautiful. Fun details like the bathroom having a window into the bedroom, the chrome coffee machine and the free mini bar were a bonus. Roof Terrace bar was lovely, we had a quiet drink up there and then came back later for dinner where the staff were really attentive. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Munich.

Location was PERFECT, centrally located. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was large and roomy. Smartly decorated and there were nice touches that they thought of in the room.

Only negative was the breakfast was quite expensive, and they should offer mornings coffee and tea to guests in the morning lobby free of charge.

The staff are absolutely amazing. They always made me feel well cared for. The location right at the Viktualienmarkt is hard to beat.

The rooms are spacious, but the choice seemed to be for design rather than function. There was a closet, but the hanging bar was so low, I couldn't hang anything in there. There were only 2 small shelves to hold clothes.... and this only after I had removed the hotel's items (shoe horn, etc). My nephew, his girlfriend, and I stayed in 2 rooms for 5 nights, and there wasn't anyplace to put clothes. Further, the bathroom was overheated, and the door would not stay open -- we had to ask reception for a door stop so the bathroom could air out.

It is great to just walk to the Christmas markets right outside the hotel. The Frauenkirche is also within easy walking distance. The room temperature was easy to control. The room was quiet. Second time staying here this year, great pleace.

There are two entrances to the hotel, and it is confusing to figure out which one to use. It would be nice if you had a specific address for both entrances, so that you head for the closest one when walking in from the cold snow and wind. I got lost twice and went round and round. Maybe have Google Maps indicate both entrances?

as i'm a regular in Louis hotel, we've got room upgrade to my favourite one, with the small balcony overlooking the market. it's fantastic: spacious with all the nice amenities.... and everything of a top quality in materials and design. generally, Louis hotel is my favourite place to stay in Munich for many years (once in a while i'm staying in other places to make sure nothing gets better, but so far Louis Hotel is the best. it's not overly designed, not too poshy, or pretentious, it has everything you expect from a truly luxurious place - but everything to a proper extent. Quality, Taste and Modesty - key features of this place. the only pity is the old restaurant which is no longer in this place - despite many years it has been replaced, i'm still missing it.

the weather could be better )))
