My little attic room was very comfy and cozy. The location of the hotel can't be beaten, it's literally 5 minutes walk from the heart of Munich (Viktualienmarkt, Marienplatz). The restaurant where the breakfast was served had a lovely, traditional feel. The buffet was delicious with hot and cold dishes and included the option to have eggs/omelettes made to order. A special shout out to the extremely friendly and attentive waiter who was always on breakfast duty - unfortunately I did not get his name.

The reception area is small and not very welcoming (however the room made up for it) When I asked if there was the possibility to check out a little later for an extra fee, I was told told there was no way, because the hotel was fully booked. Thereas I do understand that this request may have been hard or impossible to fulfill, I felt I was palmed off a little rudely. However I was able to leave my luggage there.

Very comfortable room with extremely comfy beds with a modern bathroom with all the amenities … bathroom was modern clean as well as room .. no view from room but hotel has a nice roof terrace … the breakfast buffet was fresh and the bread was amazing . . the staff in the hotel were very friendly .. the lovely guy that cleaned our room every morning did an amazing job …the staff in the breakfast room were also friendly and very helpful …

Elevator stops at landing between 2 floors so one has to carry luggage up or down one flight. No coffee and tea service in the room.

Nice Hotel, Good location. This Hotel has a great rooftop bar. We enjoyed a few beers up top before going downstairs to the restaurant where we enjoyed lovely food. The room was modern, very clean and well appointed. Bonus.... complimentary mini-Bar! Staff at reception were both friendly and professional.

False advertising! This Hotels advertises Airport shuttle on booking.com But No... they do not offer a shuttle service. I used this as a filter when booking a hotel for our last night knowing we had to go to Munich airport the following morning. I even checked booking.com a few times after I made the booking. It Still stated "Airport shuttle" the same day we arrived. Staff at reception says "No shuttle but I can call you a taxi" Euro doesn't convert very well to AUD for a taxi to travel that distance. Thank You UBER!

The staff was welcoming and the added bonus of having a glass of Prosecco on the house at their rooftop bar was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked the added feature of the window shades to block out the sun. I slept the best at this hotel of all the hotels on my 2 week trip to Europe. Complimentary mini bar in the room was an added bonus (restocked once a day). There were a couple beer options, water and Coke. I wish more hotels would offer this service. They also have a restaurant downstairs. The walk to old town was short and very close to the market. If you wanted to go further from old town, it was easy as the train at Marienplatz was close (<10 mins) and the tram was less than a block away. Overall, excellent hotel.

This hotel blew me away with its charm. I had booked a hotel in another part of the city, which upon arrival was not what I was hoping for. I searched for a new hotel, and found Deutsche Eiche, made a same day booking and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. My room was a single room, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The boutique style curtains and lighting finishes really gave a plush and comfortable feel. Room mini bar is free, breakfast included in the price and a complimentary drink on the rooftop bar sweetened the deal. The room has cute touches, like a sewing kit and enclosed shoe sponge, vanity kit and wash cloth. The restaurant is lovely with a great breakfast and good atmosphere.

I liked everything

I loved everything, the size of the room, the little balcony, and each day the room is cleaned they put drinks in your fridge for free, and the breakfast was great too. The location was "spot on", both a bakery and Indian restaurant opposite, and a icecream shop next door, trains just a five minute walk away, including the center of Marianplatz. Its worth noting that due to bad weather the lift was out of action in the hotel, but only for less than half a day, then one day the electricity/power went on the 3rd and fourth floor of the hotel and again, within half hour of reporting it, the problem had been resolved, so maintenance excellent.

- Friendly and accommodating staff. - Comfortable room and bathroom. - Fantastic location very close to Marienplatz. If you are coming from the airport with luggage, you only need a 7 minute walk from Marienplatz S-Bahn Station to the hotel. - Complimentary drinks in the mini fridge (very helpful after a long day sightseeing). - Complimentary drinks upon arrival. - Very clean rooms, very quick and effective cleaning service. - Variety of breakfast, you also have the option to order eggs/bacon. - We didn't try the restaurant for dinner, but during our stay, it was always full. The restaurant (breakfast area) is really pretty in traditional bavarian style.

- The pillows weren't the most comfortable but not a big problem. - It was a little bit noisy in the rooms under the roof terrace occasionally, but again, it was not an issue when you wanted to sleep.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Check in was smooth, the room lovely (and staff quickly gave us a 'tour' of our room). Little things, like a stocked refrigerator, were most appreciated. Breakfast was always fresh, with eggs to order, wonderful fruits, meats and pastries, and even mimosas. Location was very walkable to most locations of interest in the heart of the city and easy to access the subway. We found the room to be comfortable and quiet at night

Honestly did not have anything we disliked. We were disappointed the one night we had available to visit the roof-top terrace we couldn't go as they were 'full' .

Staff were lovely, location was incredible. Lift and stairs available. Fridge in room, and complimentary mini bar. Steeped in history, and beautiful, clean rooms. Love the Freddy Mercury mural on building, lovely bar area. Open minded and friendly staff. Very safe as a solo female traveller (iykyk), definitely recommended.

Was told I had breakfast included on day 1, then when I went down to ask for it, was told that wasn't the case (think day 1 staff was new, its an easy mistake to make). Kettle not available unless you ask for one, but those were only nit-picky as overall it was a lovely stay.
