My little attic room was very comfy and cozy. The location of the hotel can't be beaten, it's literally 5 minutes walk from the heart of Munich (Viktualienmarkt, Marienplatz). The restaurant where the breakfast was served had a lovely, traditional feel. The buffet was delicious with hot and cold dishes and included the option to have eggs/omelettes made to order. A special shout out to the extremely friendly and attentive waiter who was always on breakfast duty - unfortunately I did not get his name.

The reception area is small and not very welcoming (however the room made up for it) When I asked if there was the possibility to check out a little later for an extra fee, I was told told there was no way, because the hotel was fully booked. Thereas I do understand that this request may have been hard or impossible to fulfill, I felt I was palmed off a little rudely. However I was able to leave my luggage there.

Very comfortable room with extremely comfy beds with a modern bathroom with all the amenities … bathroom was modern clean as well as room .. no view from room but hotel has a nice roof terrace … the breakfast buffet was fresh and the bread was amazing . . the staff in the hotel were very friendly .. the lovely guy that cleaned our room every morning did an amazing job …the staff in the breakfast room were also friendly and very helpful …

Elevator stops at landing between 2 floors so one has to carry luggage up or down one flight. No coffee and tea service in the room.

The hotel is very well located, only minutes from Marienplatz and the Viktualienmarket, and perfect for continuing further afield to the Residenz, English Gardens and numerous baroque churches. There are many restaurants just metres away, and nearby Eataly also provided lots of take-away treats. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful, and the room comfortable and quiet. I would likely recommend this hotel for a stay in Munich!

Bring your own coffee/tea as these are not provided (this seems to be typical of German accomodation), though there is a free minibar with alcohol and soft drinks. On the plus side, a kettle was provided for us upon request.

We loved everything! It was our 2nd stay and we will be back next year. Our spacious room and bathroom on the 5th floor were beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. The beds are amazing. Complimentary mini-bar and also a prosecco voucher for the fabulous roof terrace with views over Munich. The hotel has Air Con, which makes it comfortable during summer. Deutsche Eiche also has a lift, so no schlepping of luggage required. Super friendly staff, super clean and quiet room, super central (150m to Viktualienmarkt, a few minutes to Marienplatz), super convenient parking in a spacious, private parking garage 2mins away (needs pre-booking, 20 Euro per day). Funky shops around. 100m to Gärtnerplatz with fab Cotidiano for breakfast/lunch/dinner. Hotel Deutsche Eiche was absolutely perfekt for our 2-night stay (I travelled with my elderly mother.) Thank you very much!

Nice Hotel, Good location. This Hotel has a great rooftop bar. We enjoyed a few beers up top before going downstairs to the restaurant where we enjoyed lovely food. The room was modern, very clean and well appointed. Bonus.... complimentary mini-Bar! Staff at reception were both friendly and professional.

False advertising! This Hotels advertises Airport shuttle on booking.com But No... they do not offer a shuttle service. I used this as a filter when booking a hotel for our last night knowing we had to go to Munich airport the following morning. I even checked booking.com a few times after I made the booking. It Still stated "Airport shuttle" the same day we arrived. Staff at reception says "No shuttle but I can call you a taxi" Euro doesn't convert very well to AUD for a taxi to travel that distance. Thank You UBER!

Location is amazing! Staff were friendly and always available. It was raining and it was great that they had umbrellas to loan us for sightseeing. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and had a great meal. We had drinks on the rooftop and enjoyed great views even though the weather was bad. The room was surprisingly bigger than I expected for Europe. It was comfortable for the three of us with a spacious bathroom and it was a nice touch to have all the selections of drinks available. Overall loved the location and convenience of the restaurant. Would recommend and would stay again.

The staff was welcoming and the added bonus of having a glass of Prosecco on the house at their rooftop bar was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked the added feature of the window shades to block out the sun. I slept the best at this hotel of all the hotels on my 2 week trip to Europe. Complimentary mini bar in the room was an added bonus (restocked once a day). There were a couple beer options, water and Coke. I wish more hotels would offer this service. They also have a restaurant downstairs. The walk to old town was short and very close to the market. If you wanted to go further from old town, it was easy as the train at Marienplatz was close (<10 mins) and the tram was less than a block away. Overall, excellent hotel.

There is only a men's sauna.

This hotel blew me away with its charm. I had booked a hotel in another part of the city, which upon arrival was not what I was hoping for. I searched for a new hotel, and found Deutsche Eiche, made a same day booking and boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. My room was a single room, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The boutique style curtains and lighting finishes really gave a plush and comfortable feel. Room mini bar is free, breakfast included in the price and a complimentary drink on the rooftop bar sweetened the deal. The room has cute touches, like a sewing kit and enclosed shoe sponge, vanity kit and wash cloth. The restaurant is lovely with a great breakfast and good atmosphere.

I liked everything

Location, restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel staff were very friendly. We were kindly lent a kettle so that we could have our coffee in the morning. The free in-room bar was replenished every day. Metro nearby (Marionplatz) so easy to get back to the airport.

There is nothing to complain about really. The upstairs bar was a little noisy on occassion but as we were there over a weekend it was to be expected and it didn't go on into late evening
