Breakfast was the best we had during our trip spanning 3 countries - everything from greens to the best sausage and coffee! The location was so close to Marienplatz (literally 5 mins) and a lot of attractions like the Beer Museum - it was so easy to get around! The staff are friendly and very helpful and the rooms (especially the accessible room for my daughter who is in a wheelchair) are super spacious and clean. It’s really a great base to see Munich. I would stay here again.

The lights in the rooms had this “dimmed arrangement” but even at its highest, the lights were not that bright; I hope the hotel rethinks this.

Location is great, near the old town/pedestrian area. Lots of restaurants around the area. Staff is friendly. They also shared some booklet on things to do and places to see in Munich. I also like that they send you messages before the trip if there is an event at the hotel during the stay. They have an accessible room (comfort type).

Room is relatively small. We booked 2 rooms of the same type (cozy) but one of the rooms was really tiny, our other companions were surprised. It was definitely not as big as they advertised the sqm to be at least for this one room. Once you enter, it was a narrow hallway then the bed area, you can only really walk to one of the sides of the bed. We didn't request for a room change as we only found out how tiny the room was relative to the other on the second to the last night of our stay. Nonetheless, their comfort room, which was a different room type that we also reserved for our other companions was quite big.

This is the hotel for a younger crowd. And for a short 2-day stay. The location is perfect. Rooms are small and uncomfortable (multiple rooms don't have an actual bed but rather a mattress over a platform, which is difficult to get in and out of!). Some rooms have carpets (yuck!). The stand out of this hotel is the staff, they are all great! Shout out to the young blonde man whose name I can't remember...sorry. Great breakfast. Nice lounge for drinks in the evening.

Small (Tiny) rooms. Dark. Uncomfortable. Beware of the type of room you get. MINIMAL closet space. Go with a backpack for a 2-day stay, otherwise, you won't fit in the room. No room service.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would! First point, the location is excellent, right in the centre of the best part of Munich. However, I had a peaceful nights sleep as you couldn't hear a thing during the night. The second was the surprise complementary cocktail that was left for us, we'd had such a long travelling day. That this alone made me want to book again. It was boujee heaven, the breakfast the next morning was sublime. Modern decadence at it's best. There was even music in the bathroom with underfloor heating.

Nothing!!!!

Super-friendly and helpful staffers. Excellent breakfast in a nice bar on the top floor. The room was spacious and very quiet for being in downtown Munich. Located in the very center, close to sights and public transport.

The beds were medium comfortable. There was no wardrobe or other facility to store clothes, for a family of 5 this was really challenging and could be improved. Decoration was also quite minimal - the room, looked somewhat unfinished. The lifts to reach the room was often busy or going in the wrong direction and one could not call it explicitly to go up or down which sometimes resulted in ample waiting time.

What I really liked about this stay was the location—it was incredibly convenient! Everything was close by, from supermarkets to pharmacies, and most importantly, the Christmas markets. Despite being so central, the area was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to sleep comfortably without any noise disturbances. A truly enjoyable experience!

What I didn’t enjoy was the slow room service. Even something as simple as requesting water or tea for the night wasn’t an option. For travelers like me dealing with jet lag or digestion issues, having natural alternatives available can make a big difference in feeling cared for by the hotel. Amenities like these add a comforting touch, but unfortunately, the slow service made it less convenient.

The Haus im Tal is absolutely my favorite hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming—they greet you with a smile and even offer you a drink upon arrival. They are always helpful and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are beautifully designed, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. The showers are fantastic, adding to the comfort and luxury of the experience. I also love the rooftop terrace, which is a perfect spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of delicious options to start your day. The hotel’s location is very convenient, easily reachable by taxi and public transport, making it a great choice for travelers

Some front rooms are a bit louder than others and I asked for another room on the phone as I am noise sensitive, but they gave me a street facing room. I slept with the windows closed which is not my preferred, but doable.

This hotel enjoys a perfect location. Transportation using the Metro, S Bahn, and local trams is within walking distance. Close to venues like the Hauf Brau House, Marienplatz and within easy distance of the Englischer Garten the Haus im Tal makes it a value and convenience. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices.

Typical of most European hotels, our room was functional but small. The paint color didn’t help. We were informed that it’s “eggplant.” The dark brownish color didn’t enhance the smallness of the room. Reception told us that each room is individually decorated so our experience may not be yours. We found out that German law prohibits air conditioning to operate unless a certain differential is met. Apparently it was not met during our stay. Although the window was noise canceling when closed, it was not when opened. The street noise was annoying on week nights. It lasted longer on the weekend. The scree on the shower simply didn’t work. No matter how we tried, we couldn’t keep water off the floor. After two of us showering, the floor was soaked.

The hotel was excellent. It’s centrally located, with a kind and helpful staff who provided great recommendations for food and more around the city. The room was clean and well-equipped, with a newly renovated and beautifully designed bathroom. Check-in and check-out were easy and efficient. Communication with the hotel was via WhatsApp, which made it convenient to ask questions during our stay abroad. Highly recommended. a lovely place and a wonderful experience.
