The room was great for a family and the kitchenette was well stocked to allow us to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner, which saved us quite a bit of money. The location was excellent; it's about 10 minutes walk to Marienplatz. I didn't use public transport too much, but Sendlinger Tor stop for the trains was easily accessed too.

The only downside is that the streets are noisy through the evenings, and the room gets quite warm even in winter, so you can't really sleep with the windows open unless you bring a noise machine. The fan helps if the windows are closed, and it adds some white noise too,

We did not take part in the breakfast but I did see some eating there it actually looked pretty good. The location was fantastic easy to get to from the main train station one stop on the u bon. Close to all the main attractions. I'm almost 60 and it was easy to walk to all of them good places to eat right around the hotel quiet neighborhood and if you get lost you just look for the sendlinger tor on map and you're home. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff was very very nice at the check-in we have an elevator and the bathroom had a bathtub good size rooms I would definitely choose them again!

Great location. Very low key hotel, but it gets the job done. Room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Beds were standard European firm very comfy, with earplugs and eye masks we got fantastic sleep.

Don’t forget ear plugs! It can definitely get loud outside the building at night from party people and early morning from trash trucks and such. Also, beware that outlets are sparse and poorly located so unless you bring a SUPER long cord, don’t count on charging anything on the nightstand.

This is a beautiful room at a low budget price. It is really well maintained and immaculately clean. I liked the decor and the bathroom is modern and pristine. Lots of towels. Your view from the large windows is lovely and window can be opened wide. Trees everywhere. The walk to the city centre is just 500m along Herzog-Wilhelm-Strasse and to Sendlinger Straße (another important shopping area) is just 3 minutes walk. There's a coffee shop over the road that sells delicious coffee. In fact all of the coffee in Munich is wonderful. The hotel has a lift which is a delight after walking all day! NOTE: You check in around the corner (30m) at the Hotel du Train on Herzog-Wilhelm-Strasse so just go there first. Nearest train S8 from airport stops at Karlsplatz in the city centre takes about 35 minutes. Then 800m walk via Herzog-Wilhelm-Strasse to Hotel du Train. You are close to everything and just walking around this city is breath-taking.

I expected a kettle in the room. This was hugely problematic for me. I don't usually do a thing till have had 2 coffees! Having to shower and get ready for the day on water was bad for me. Ditto for evening cups of tea. I didnt see a mini-mart/supermarket/sweet shop/7-11 where you can buy maybe a sandwich/snacks/cold drinks anywhere and I walked around for 4 days. That is NOT the fault of hotel and I stand by my 5 star review. But being able to make hot drinks would have alleviated that.

It is a great spot everything is very close to it and the room is big and clean. We are very happy with the service and the accommodation.

The beds are very very soft and it was not so comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom was not very strong even when we adjust it. And it get pretty noise in the evening so take your earplugs with you.

Fantastic location, comfortable large rooms and the helpful reception staff were available 24/7 and the room was easily accessible including a lift (unusual in our trip thus far).

Th instructions on how to find the reception space were a little unclear in the Booking.Com information, so when we arrived we had to call the reception for directions to help us find the door on the opposite side of the block to our room address.

Perfect location -- on a quieter square but literally around the corner from the pedestrian streets of Old Town. The room was very tidy and everything seemed well maintained throughout the building. Ideal as a base for going out and exploring the center on foot, but with exceptional transit access too.

The arrangement for check-in at a separate hotel was well communicated ahead of time, but when we arrived to register at the appointed time we still had to wait for another staff member to arrive before we could check in. The Wi-Fi dropped at times, so I would not want to rely on it for work or critical communication.

The family room was had described , simple and perfectly clean and close to the city center by foot. Close to many public transportation as well as stores and historic sites. Can easily host 6 people with 4 different beds. Small bathroom with shower only. Recommend if you are on a budget and want to stay in the center to walk everywhere

Great location, walking distance to the main square, SBahn from airport and lots of transport options. Although check in is around the corner its very easy, staff are super friendly and eager to help and our room was ready early. Family room was huge, the lift was very helpful with luggage. There is a supermarket down the alley right in front of the hotel. Would absolutely stay again.

The room was very clean. We used the provided fan to keep the room cool. We could use the small elevator to bring our luggage to the 4th floor. The front desk staff in the hotel around the corner where we checked in was very friendly, efficient, and accommodating.

There was no kettle in the room for morning coffee/tea, but one was was provided when we asked. The tiling in the shower stall allowed the water to run out of the basin to pour onto the floor even though we tried hard to position the curtain to avoid this. It was an easy clean up with one of our towels.
